Definetly not the store bought ramen! I had the wonton ramen and gyoza. Delish!!! A must go to for me!

My boyfriend and I went on Valentines Day to eat dinner and had a wonderful time. We waited less than 10 minutes to be seated and our waitress took our orders right away. We got our food really fast and it was all delicious! The portions of their meals are awesome and their prices are great too! My favorite part about our experience was that the staff was all so friendly and happy it made our dinner even better! Can’t wait to eat here again!

This place is so good. It’s always clean & the service is always good. I love the chicken fried rice here.

There’s never a wait here, and we always get the same great waitress, I’m not sure what her name is but she has short hair! The younger boy that assisted her today was friendly and helpful as well! We always get in & out! I had the combo A with tan tan soup and chicken Katsu curry! Yum! The mr. Had his usual, the beef curry! He says the meat is always soft! Great place to come when you need some soup, or cheap eats!

I loooooove going to this place. I always order the Curry Katsu plate which is always so delish. The service is always on point and quick. Make sure to wear your fat pants especially if you’re ordering the fried rice, the portion is huge and it’s super Ono. Their portions are pretty big. If you’re running low on cash and want a big meal, order the combos that they offer. You will definitely get full and be able to bring home leftovers while spending just a little bit of that green paper.

Just arrived, and we were tired and hungry. We saw it and decided to stop in even after seeing some of the reviews on Unilocal.Well I’m not a Ramen snob, but I found this place to be one of those great little «mom and pop» type places. The service was very friendly and welcoming and I enjoyed my ramen. We will definitely come back before we leave.

My first time I loved it great service quality ramen and I love the gyoza and chicken katsu curry yummy! For a quick eat and a hit the spot meal it’s this place for me and my husband…

My first time stepping foot into Ramen Ya at Kapolei Commons. As I entered the establishment I was greeted right away by a female employee.
I made myself comfortable at one of the available tables. There were nine tables that seat four individuals. There was counter seatings as well. Six individuals are able to sit at the counter in an 90° angle. People who sit at the counter are able to watch the cooks prepare the dishes.
I noticed on each table there was the chopstick holder, napkin dispenser, and the condiments. The female employee handed me the menu and asked if I wanted anything to drink. Water for starters. I glanced at the menu and decided to order a wonton set. Basically it was a small bowl of wonton soup, 4 piece gyoza with 4 free gyozas, and another dish. I chose the chicken katsu curry on a bed of rice. Everything was delicious.
I was also helped by a male employee who refilled my cup water. I had to ask him if the establishment takes credit cards. «We take all credit cards except American Express». That’s good to know since I didn’t have that much cash on hand.
Overall my experience at Ramen Ya was outstanding. Friendly employees and clean establishment. The female employee says «See you next time.»

This place got a bad rap on some reviews. The food is good and the service is very friendly. Large portions for the family. Loved this place so much that we came back a second time. Visited here from California. Try it, you won’t regret it.

Friendly atmosphere, beautifully prepared food, and great staff! Highly recommended to anyone and everyone.

We went to try this place out the other day, I think they’re food is bland and under cook. It’s more of quantity over quality.
We order Katsura ramen:
Katsu is cooked ok,
the ramen soup tasted watery, bland, no traced of bone stock, had so much bean sprout, the soup actually tasted like bean sprout and shoyu
the egg drop soup is more like water with egg,
the gyoza, raw cabbage filling falling apart when you pick it up, it’s under cook, tasteless.
Overall, it’s cheap but not satisfying.

This place deserves more than a 5/​5, more like all the stars in the world. I come to Ramen-​ya regularly, either with my parents and my boyfriend and let me tell you that the eating experience is very very VERY enjoyable and family friendly. I love to come in and everyone is having a great time with their family eating their very affordably priced food. My favorite is the combo set A with Katsu curry during happy hour. But we all know that the food is hella good over here, I would like to take the time to give recognition to the awesome employees, the guy and the girl, you know who you are. You guys are so nice to me and my family when we come into the restaurant and we appreciate everything that you guys do to keep (even the rudest of customers) the happiest. See you guys next week!

This is another in my smaller grouping of very short reviews.
For what it is this place is great, the food is good and well cooked, the service is normal and the space is very clean.
It’s not really impressive in any way but it’s also not outright horrible, just a normal Ramen shop in a shopping center, for this I will give them a standard 4 star review.

I work a few doors down at DTE so it’s safe to say i’m a regular here. The owner and a few of the waitresses know my co-​workers and I already. When we want to have lunch here during work, we easily call in a pre-​order and let them know what time we’ll be coming in so that it’d be ready once we get there. It’s convenient since we only have a 30 minute break. The food is always on point and the staff is wonderful. The prices and the portions are also awesome. Mochiko chicken, all the curry plates, all fried rice dishes, cold soba and gyoza are our go-​to lunch choices. We always have a wonderful experience here. You won’t be disappointed.

Went in this evening and sat right now. Waiter came over and took my order directly. Food started coming out within 3 – 4 minutes.
Very impressed with the speed of the service. The food was quite good too. I ordered the spicy seafood ramen and mochico chicken on the side.
Mochico chicken was so hot my mouth is still raw from being burned. That’s my fault for eating so fast and not letting the food cool. The ramen was really good, lots of fish and shrimp.
I look forward to going back and trying something different.

Super friendly service, HUGE PORTIONS and mostly everything is under 10 bucks. Great lunch spot in Kapolei next to Tmobile. Food is tasty and cheap! My kind of place.

Average ramen joint! Was hoping it would be better than sac’s ramen but it wasn’t!
Pros: nice and clean area and in a good shopping complex that includes Ross, TJ Max, and sports authority.
There are plenty of parking and there was a wait when we arrived… Only 10 – 15 minutes… They have plenty of seating as well!
I ordered the chicken Katsu ramen and it was decent BUT did not blow me away! I believe sacramento’s ramen is better! The chicken Katsu was crispy and tender and the broth was very mild…
We also ordered the spicy beef ramen and it was average… Broth was red and the beef was cooked all the way… Not tender at all…
The seafood ramen was just okay… The broth was too thick and it sucked up the broth…
We even ordered a curry beef to go and it was pretty good but it was slightly on the heavy side… Gravy was thick but it tasted good for lunch the best day!
Would we return??? Probably if we didn’t have any other spot to eat… This place again didn’t blow me away but it’s worth a try!

Reasonable prices. Good portions. Friendly service. Clean restaurant.
I ordered (to go) the Seafood Crispy Noodle. When I dine in, I ask the server to bring this dish to me on separate plates. The seafood/​veggie stew in a bowl and the noodles on the plate. The serving is large enough that I have never been able to finish the serving and always have to share this dish or take home leftovers.
The sweetened green tea iced tea is my drink of choice here.
I tried to order soybeans as a side order, but oddly enough at 11:00am on a Saturday, they ran out. The cashier told me that the restaurant was waiting on their food delivery order.
My daughter ordered the mini mochicko chicken. It was filling for her.
I always have a good experience here. I eat here regularly, since they are located near my office. (I haven’t tried their other locations yet)

Good amount of food for the price that you pay. I always get the combo a, which is enough food for two people. I would give a five but some of the food is bland, and it’s not just a one time thing. The katsu is cooked perfectly, tender and crispy, but there is very little flavor of any at all. I do like their particular taste of curry but it’s missing the «oomf» flavor to make it memorable. The fact that it is a ramen house called ramen-​ya I would expect that they know how to ramen. However it’s so-​so and i dare to say zippys saimin is better. Of course for the price and portions, it’s a pretty good deal.

I would recommend calling in your orders because the wait is sort of long and if there are a lot of people seated there’s no room to sit or stand inside. 4 because it seems they don’t know how long to estimate the wait time, ex. A worker said pick up will be in 15 minutes however we waited over half an hour. I don’t mind waiting for take out but if the time was estimated correctly, it would make things easier and avoid a lot of waiting around. But their nice so, it’s all meh.
Side notes: parking can get tight when it’s busy but there’s always parking around the corner of down to earth.

I’m never a fan of the cheaper ramen shops since the quality is «meh». If you’re looking for a pretty cheap meal to feed your family then this is a good place to go.
I personally like my ramen shops in town. Ramen Ya and similar shops will never beat those lol. Service is okay.
But yeah, good prices for the quantity. Quality not so great.
