Got the food very fast and it was good. I would highly recommend using it for the same purpose I did. Have time for fast food, but tired of burgers, etc. Use Unilocal(Eat24) to order some food and swing by. Its a bit pricey compared to said burger, but it at least seems like it’s not contributing to a pending heart attack like a ¼ pd stuff on a bun. The baklava was good. Really really sticky so it put my fingers in danger of being eaten when the stuff stuck to my hand. Why no 5? Maybe if it was a biiittt cheaper or you got a bit more? That said Id reccomend it for sure.

We decided to visit here after reading the reviews and were very pleased with our decision. The food was great… Wonderful hummus/pitas… My husband loved the beef gyro and I enjoyed the chicken kabob. The entrée choices come with 2 sides which is a great way to try different things. Even the appetizer menu looks varied and reasonably priced … Next time we may just order several apps! We will be back!!!

The beef gyro was so good, juicy & flavorful. But most notable was the customer service. Its a mom n pop joint. The owner was very kind and patient while we were ordering off the menu since it was our first time there. They take very good care of their customers and the place is pretty clean. Will definitely go there again.

The food is delicious! However, they’re very overpriced in my opinion. Love their meat kebabs but can have a nice sit down meal elsewhere for the same price. This place is old and rundown; Takeout is the way to go.

Went to Cedars with wife and kids. We ordered hummus, shawarma plate and kids menu. The food was good but not outstanding. I had better hummus and shawarma at other Lebanese places in town. Shawarma was tender and serving size was Texas style i.e., big but it didn’t have much flavor. The service was outstanding. The owner personally came and talked with us and explained the menu which was very good. We may came again to try additional items.

Yummy! Gentleman behind the counter was super nice. The falafel wrap was delicious, the cedar salad I subbed for the fries was colorful and refreshing. Nice to have a place like this just around the corner from home. Katy is a difficult place to find a good vegetarian meal, I will definitely be back.

I have tried a lot of Mediterranean food in my day and I must start by saying I was not very impressed. My first impression walking in was that it looked a tad dirty inside… as if it hadn’t been sweeped or clean. I

Excellent little restaurant café style. Go to the counter and order and it is put together right there. Lamb shanks are so tender and flavorful. Hummus and babaganoij was perfect. The owner is attentive And wants your input to make it better. So good will recommend this place and no doubt will return. The selection of raw materials is there as well spices fill dough cheeses yogurt figs…

Decided to check this place out. Found myself craving a falafel sandwich & some hummus. This place was on my bookmark list & I was in the area so lets give it a go. This place is easy to find, not a difficult route. Parking is not terrible found a spot right in front. You walk in & one side is the market & the other restaurant. This place is a decent size for both market & a restaurant. They have general items, olive oil, beans, drinks, bread & treats etc… Since my craving was for a wrap I opted for the falafel wrap & some hummus. At first glance I think this place is a little pricey. Maybe the portion are generous right? Wrong! Sandwich was small & slim. Wheres my falafel patties? Hummus was not great. It was edible but definitely not anything significant. The pita on the other hand was the highlight of this visit. Soft warm pita hit spot. Too bad hummus was a let down. The wrap came with a side of fries that tasted like frozen fries, not very fresh at all, not good! Service was decent. Maybe cause there were only a few people in the house. Didn’t take long for me get my grub. Anyways I will not be back. I will not recommend this place. But hey maybe the meat is good at this joint. Check it yo!

I live like 2 minutes from Cedar’s so I’ve ordered takeout from them a few times. I enjoy their food, but I find it to be a bit on the salty side sometimes. Not inedible just a bit too much salt. My favorite dish is probably the lamb shank but their roasted chicken and grilled meats are delicious too, as is their shwarma. Not the best shwarma but pretty good. I also love their lentil rice. It’s a great accompaniment to their meat dishes. Good baba ghanouj and hummus too. The service is always warm and friendly and I love that you can order right online and go pick it up.

Best gyro in Katy, no, Houston! Cedar’s is located on Mason Road just past HEB in a small strip mall. There is plenty of parking, which is the norm around Katy. Outside, there are three sets of tables and chairs for dining al fresco, but the humidity was too much to stand on the visit. Upon entering Cedar’s, the uniquely Mediterranean spices aroma hits you, which I realized was from the small wall of spices, beans, canned goods, and other grocery items near the door. Cedar’s hosts seating for at least 40 people, and diners can self-seat any where. I went straight to the large menu board at the counter and placed my order with the owner, a kind and elderly gentleman from an Arabic speaking nation. This was evident by the Arbic music videos playing on the television. It provided ambiance. I ordered the best gyro I have ever had. Choose from the gyro plate with sides like tabouli and hummus, or the gyro wrap with fries, which I ordered. I sat down with my fountain drink and waited for 10 minutes. The fries were hot and lightly salted. The gyro wrap was on a perfect pita bread wrapped in foil, diced tomatoes, red onions, lettuce, and tzaziki sauce. There was just enough sauce for every bite. The meat was well seasoned, but not strong, and it was juicy. Cedar’s has made this gyro afficianado very happy. Food comes in plastic baskets, which you leave on the table when done. Plastic utensils and inexpensive napkins are located at the fontain drink dispenser(Coke products). It is a casual dining restaurant that I will return to, especially for the $ 7.99 gyro wrap!

I went yesterday and loved the food so much I had to go back again today! I tried the quarter leg chicken with hummus and tabouli yesterday– lots of flavor! The perfect meal for a rainy or sick day, I totally needed it. I went back again today and tried their gyro wrap with lentil rice– blown away! The gyro is by far the BEST that I’ve had and the lentil rice had SO much flavor. I’m very impressed with this place– great quality food for great prices and speedy service as well– a must try in the Katy area!

It has a very homey help yourself feel and I think that’s why I like it so much! They also have a small shop inside for multiple things! I love this place and will continue to come here to fill my gyro and hummus cravings!

First time at cedars today and I had a great experience. I ordered the falafel appetizer and a chicken shawarma. The falafel will go down as the best I’ve ever had! It was very fresh and the tahini sauce was great as well. Chicken shawarma was excellent and it did come with fries. I wasn’t too crazy about the fries but that wasn’t the reason why I came here. Also the guy running the counter was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely come back here.

I have been going to cedars since 2008 but that probably won’t be happening again for a long while unfortunately. I understand a Saturday night is probably busy but I called and ordered my food an hour ahead and I still waited 15 mins. which isn’t a huge deal the offered me drink fill someone else’s order than mine. The meat was totally charred all of it was completely over cooked. I had bought the food to feed a party and didn’t even look untill. It was time to feed everyone. How embarrassing is serving a ridiculously over cooked meal that’s culturally different and its a totally dud. Sad, but I will have to drive 30 mins out to Aladins off montrose and westheimer.

Not impressed. I usually go to Phoenicia’s on Westheimer which I love but my family lives in Katy so we decided to try Cedars. Mom and I ordered 2 chicken schwarmas that came with a side of fries. Each was $ 7. Side of hummus was $ 4. Yet they charged me over $ 20. My brother ordered a beef kabob plate for about $ 12 that came with 2 sides(he got hummus and rice). His girlfriend ordered a gyro with fries. None of us thought it was worth the loooong wait. Hummus proportions were small. It was OK tasting. Pita was warm and probably the best part of it all. The beef was tough and chewy. The rice flavorless. The chicken schwarmas(however you spell it) tasted fishy. Literally. Weird ambiance. Their«grocery store-like» restaurant and long wait makes this a better place for take out instead of dining in if you have no other Mediterranean options.

5 stars for the food!!! This is my favorite mediterranean food place in Katy. Been coming here for the past 7 years and the food is always great!!! My favorite dish is the veggie sampler. Here is a breakdown of what’s in it: 1. Freshly maid falafel hot from the kitchen. They are soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. If you have never had these fresh you must try them because they taste so much better when they are just made! 2. Hummus– made to perfection! Creamy NOT chunky. Another favorite of mine here and one of the best in Houston. 3. Baba ghanouj– or how ever you spell it? This egg plant dish is similar to hummus but made from egg plant. Just try it. 4. Tabouli– as good here as anywhere else. I don’t think I ever had bad tabouli anywhere… 5. Pita bread– I think they make it fresh but not sure. It is much better than what they use to serve that was not made fresh. 6. Last item is Cedars Salad — this is their salad made with cucumber, tomato, and other stuff, maybe lettuce? It’s okay but not my favorite. I usually ask them to substitute an extra side of hummus in its place. They are usually pretty good about doing this for me. Most every other dish here is great too! The chicken, beef, and Kafta kabobs are tender and full of flavor as are the gyros. I can go on and on about everything I have tried here. If you like Mediterranean and live in Katy, you will love the food here! The reason I only gave it four stars is because the ambience is not that great for a restaurant. It is more like half restaurant half grocery store. They don’t have tableservice after they bring you the food. But as I said in the beginning, this place gets a 5 for the food! The owners are very friendly and always make your food fresh after you order it! Sorry no pictures of the food… I can’t help myself once they serve it. I dive right in and begin stuffing my face.
