I have fond memories of a past dining experience(traveling years & years ago) at a Round Table, but there were no locations near where I lived. Having recently moved to Salem, thought I would try their lunch buffet. This location also offers the buffet Tuesday nights at the same price(currently $ 7.50, drinks extra). The salad bar seemed so-so, though it didn’t appear that many diners came to eat salad. They serve 5 varieties of pizza at a time, and I discovered that the pizza is best right out of the oven. During a weekday lunch, the pizzas can cool off — since there aren’t many diners to quickly snatch up pieces — and the crust becomes a bit soggy. But the ingredients seem first rate & tasty when hot from the oven. It was nice to try again after so many years, but since I can go to Pizza Hut and usually get an entire medium pizza for $ 6 or large for $ 10 – 11(and higher quality to boot), it really doesn’t make economic sense to eat at Round Table. You really need to eat a lot of pizza there to make it a good value.

Pizza is always nice and hot! Love their twists and salad bar! My deliveries are always on time. Haven’t had a problem yet. Its always busy during the lunch buffet but they have a good selection and get the pizzas out as fast as They can. They have a good crew here.

I phoned in an ordered and was given a pickup time. Arrived at pickup time and was told pizza wasn’t ready and they would let me know. I stood there for a ½ hour waiting, nothing. I went up and asked when they would be ready. They didn’t know what I was talking about. Turns out the pizzas were in a drawer the whole time and nobody bothered to look, ½ hour wasted. I was told tip I left on my credit card wouldn’t be run through since the service wasn’t tip worthy. Of course they ran it through and kept my tip. Not going back there

Nope! Not again! Haven’t ordered from there in a while — thought I’d give it another try because usually RoundTable is better than the rest. The last time I wasn’t impressed, but this time I was completely disappointed. I guess they are cutting the amount and quality of ingredients to stay afloat… it is NOT working. Poor toppings in very limited quantity. Then… they finally showed up(with a barely warm pie) and forgot the ranch that I paid extra for. The driver was nice and ran back for it — but by then the pizza was cold and tasted even worse. Not to mention, they are now using the cheap ranch that tastes like flavored plastic. I’ll never, ever go to this location again.

Must be some sort of ‘rule’ that employees can’t lift anything heavy when clearing tables. I had to move my chair THREETIMES so that girl could push plate cart down the aisle to clear tables. The guy seated next to me had to move twice. I didn’t see her the fourth time when the guy sitting in a chair at the end of the booth across from me was only one to move but she still managed to get by. He had to move four times, I only had to move three, so guess I was lucky! During lunch. We were in a hurry and only ordered a small pizza so not like we were there long. Oh, must be a ‘rule’ she couldn’t push it past the salad bar too, where I agree with previous reviewer — too stirred up and no one watching the hygienics of the area — pass! We like Round Table but probably won’t return to this one.

We had the lunch buffet — the pizza was OK but cleanliness was an issue. The buffet plates were on the BOTTOM shelf of a plastic shelving unit, there were NO plates on the upper shelves. The silverware was full of spots, the tongs for each salad item were sticky, and the salad bar counter was also littered with debris from each container. The booth was grimy, hand prints and smears were visible on the backs of the seats. It’s doubtful the food was kept at the required temperature, debating on making a complaint to the Health Department. If nothing else, an email to corporate will definitely be sent. On the plus side — the beer on tap was cold and the girl who holds the advertising sign on the corner is extremely entertaining, she’d be the only keeper here and the reason for two stars instead of one! Will we be back — no. Will we recommend to friends — no.

Worst customer experience I have had at a restaurant in a very long time. Young gal behind the counter was rude and unhelpful at best. We got so front flustered that we left instead of eating there

Don’t even bother. Their service is terrible. Ordered pizza for delivery several times. Twice it has never shown up. When we called to find out why–«sorry, we thought you said xyz address…» Please, just say at 9:30 your driver doesn’t feel like going out anymore. You use the phone number to verify our address– don’t tell me you thought it was a different address. Lying is the worst part.

It’s a shame, I’ve been coming to roundtable since I was a kid because the pizza is the best. Unfortunately their customer service has gone down hill. When I got my pizza, it only had 3 small pieces of bell pepper. Guy told me that’s how they come when you order smaller sizes. Seems like their quality control is no longer there as my pizza was stuck to the top of the box as well.

Dirty. Dirty plates, dirty silverware, dirty carpets. Not very welcoming staff. Found food all mixed up with other food at the salad bar. Olives in the cottage cheese etc. avoid this place.

Seriously, save your money and buy a frozen Digiorno. Their crust is better. If you go, however, their lunch buffet is a reasonably priced option and the staff has been very friendly the couple times I’ve been there. Sometimes a creepy/robotic friendly but still.

Order a medium pizza and 3 bread sticks. It took 45 min for them to bring our pizza. That sucks especially when there was only 2 other tables when we walked in.

I have been here a few more times since. Things have gotten a lot better. The last two times I was here they kept the pizza flowing even though there was several times when everything was gone. The entire buffett was empty. But it didn’t take but a minute or two for them to bring out a bunch more. But because of the wait those disappeared as soon as they were set out. At least they kept them coming out fairly quickly so I was able to get enough to fill up.

If you expect any type of customer service I would avoid this location at all costs. I just stood at the counter for 10 minutes trying to order. Cashier said she would be right back and she then proceeded to stock the lunch Buffett and stock the salad bar instead of taking my order. I guess they are so busy they don’t need anyone to place any orders. I had six people behind me that walked out before I did.

Heya. Quickly — I don’t know about the dinner service, afraid I’ve only been to their lunch buffet. Repeatedly! Which I think is just great. I think it’s goofy for chilled plates to be served for salad, but they’re there. I try to balance out the pizza with salad on just the regular plates. Buffet is a bit cramped, be nice to Your neighbors. Seating areas are rather airy with lots of window tables. There’s a single, self-serve soda station. Straws are kinda hidden. Napkins are on table along with crushed red pepper and what we Americans call«parmisean» cheese. Oh and the buffet pizza selection has a nice variety, lots of flavors and I really like it. Quite a bit of variety to the salad bar, too. During busy times, table cleanup lags, I’d think they’d have figured out how to take care of that by now.

I always enjoy a good Round Table Pizza, and this one doesn’t disappoint. The seats are a little punched down, which is weird considering the age of the Kaiser Station that this place is located in. But the food is hot, good and comes out quickly. Soda’s are dispensed at the self-serve soda fountain, there is a salad bar and in the afternoon, as well as Tuesday nights, they have a pizza buffet. Honestly, in my fatter days, I lived for their pizza lunch buffets. For about seven bucks, you get unlimited pizza. The downside is that during the rush hour, all the ones you want go pretty fast and sometimes you have to fight and elbow your way through other people to get to anything interesting. But they’re usually pretty quick about getting out the staples, like pepperoni, cheese, and Hawaiian, when it gets busy. This particular location has a private room in the back, that they will occasionally close down even when no one is in there. But it makes a great meeting place. There is a nod to old school pizza parlours, what with a little video game area, and the service is always top notch. The three stars is simply because this is one of many Round Table locations, and it meets the average. Nothing spectacular about it, and it can be a little spendier than other pizza joints, but it’s a great place, close to Kaiser, and delivers what they promise. So it’s pretty A-OK.

$ 6.99 lunch buffet is a great deal. Go 11:00 — 12:00 if you can because it gets real busy after 12:00. Pizza is good and salad bar has lots of choices.

Definitely my favorite of he chains. The crust is good and the toppings are descent. Better than average salad bar and the buffet is a good deal.

Yummy! The gourmet veggie is to die for! It seems weird, I know, to have zucchini on a pizza, but it works! So freakin’ delicious! The salad bar here is pretty good as well. I love salad bars and this one makes me happy. I love the little tiny baby carrots on the bar… so unusual to find that. All the pizza I’ve ever had here has been great. If you can make it for the buffet, and don’t mind fighting people for food, then try it out. If not, be prepared to spend a pretty penny on pizza, as they’re over $ 20 apiece for family size. Oh, and the staff members are pretty stupid. Yeah.

There are so many positives to this place, to deserve 5 stars — but the one thing that makes it not 5 stars is the following: IDIOT staff. Seriously, they don’t have the brightest staff on hand. I’ve been there like 5 – 6 times since it opened, and seriously, not once, has it gone smoothly with staff. From the ordering process to the delivery of the food itself, its never consistent. BUT, the food is AMAZING. The lunch buffett is the best deal in town. Pizza is tremendous, probably my favorite. Salad bar is OK, nothing special.
