Love the people and the food. The staff was friendly and the cook was rather humorous. We will definitely return.

Let me start by saying, I NEVER leave bad reviews after dining, especially at a local establishment. My wife and I visited this evening for the first time, and were immediately surprised by the cleanliness of Samurai Bistro, specifically at the bar, as we dined surrounded by dirty glasses and plates left behind by previous patrons. The service was less than attentive at best, and I was more than surprised when our server asked«are you tipsy or drunk» after I ordered a second beer. We were delivered other diner’s orders three separate times throughout he evening, despite the fact that we had our dishes already in front of us. The chefs themselves were polite and kind, but the waitstaff and bartender were completely unprofessional and inattentive. The soy sauce lid was literally held in by duct tape! The food was below average quality and the restrooms were a fright. I am literally writing this as I prepare myself for a possible bout with food poisoning at some point during the night. Will never return, and will dissuade anyone who might suggest visiting. You’re much better served to go next door and enjoy Golden Thai Cuisine.

Went in on Sunday at 12:30 pm and was literally told they could not make a to go order … we didn’t want hibachi … just a chicken teriyaki. The manager said they didn’t have a kitchen chef for the day and therefore CAN’T MAKEANYTOGOORDERS. Food used to be good and its close to home but I will never go back.

Visited for lunch and had a very good meal. Service was a little off with edamame arriving late but other than that it was all excellent. Well prepared and full of flavor. Great staff! Would visit again!

I’m giving this 2 stars because the sushi bar was great! They were helpful and kind. Sushi was great. Thick pieces and very fresh. The service was HORRIBLE. We had to flag our server down too many times to count. Food was great. We just wish the service was better.

By far the worst service. The staff is rude, and disappear for long amounts of time. You have to flag them down to get service. The food is sub-par. It takes a solid 30 minutes to get a simple roll. Don’t waste your time coming here.

Very mediocre. Food was decent and our little one enjoyed the show put on by the chef. The restaurant is older and dated. We were seated in the back corner where the lights were not working and our table was very sticky. The food tasted fine, the ice tea had a very odd flavor and the portions were huge. Decent place but probably won’t be back because we have been to better hibachis.

This place can be hit or miss with food quality. Sometimes it’s the best hibachi in towns. Other times I’ve thrown it away after one bite. Honestly go next door to the Thai place. It’s more expensive but the food is always good.

We have twin boys and this was their first experience at a hibachi grill, from the beginning to the end we had fun! We had the teriyaki steak, scallops and chicken for the kids, everything was fresh and tasty. Cooked to perfection while having fun! Soup and salad was good too, perfect timing between courses! We will be back for another fun adventure! Oh, I had the house sake and it was hot and fresh! Keep up the good work!

My wife and daughter decided to give this place a try yesterday for lunch and unfortunately we were not that impressed with the food but the service was good. We did not get Hibatchi so we sat at a regular table. We started with the Ahi Tower which was okay but the sauces didn’t seem to go well together and the avocado was old. The guy who made it mixed it at our table and was very nice. We then got a crazy spicy tuna roll and Philadelphia roll and both were okay but the seaweed was extreme chewy and we didn’t finish either roll. Our daughter got the tempura combo lunch box which came with miso soup and salad. The lettuce in the salad was old and wilted and the dressing tasted like it had too much mayonnaise. Her miso soup and tempura items were okay for the most part even though it had only one small shrimp and no chicken. Pretty sure chicken was part of the mix but I could be wrong. We also watched one chef prepare hibachi for a family of four but he didn’t look too enthused and had little no show.

Took family out for dinner last night. As many reviewer, this is my thoughts and experience in Samurai Bistro. Hibachi is awesome, even with a group of 10 plus, service and food were great. The staff was friendly and Hibachi show was amazing. Steak and Lobster is my favorite and my wife had a Sushi and roll, which she really enjoyed. The price is fair and also Kids menu is available. However house wine didn’t surprise me. Next time I’ll try a Japanese beer instead. For sure I’ll be back!

Took our family here tonight for dinner. Horrible experience — restaurant was freezing, food was cold, service below par! Not our first time here but definitely our last. Manager offered no compensation!

I stopped by here for dinner on the way home. When first walking in, I guess I always expected something nicer. The interior looked kind of drab. But the design and look has no effect on my rating, I’ve seen worst. Sushi chef J was really nice and friendly. I had 2 spicy scallop hand rolls, an avocado roll and a volcano roll. The spicy scallop hrs were really good. Liked them a lot. Everything was good. However, the volcano roll was different than what I’m used to. It had eel sauce and crabmeat on top which made it sweeter. Every place is different so it was nice to try it out. I will come back for sure. I saw some good lunch specials, and Mondays they have $ 3 sushi/rolls.

First time here and we loved it! Food and service were excellent! I had the sashimi and my wife had the samurai roll Chef was friendly and talked to us while he prepared the meal. Server was very attentive and very friendly making sure we had everything we need! Our water glasses were refilled promptly and when I was half way through my beer she offered another. Sashimi was fresh and perfectly prepared Rolls were beautiful and very flavorful. We shall be back!

Dined last night with the kiddos… and it will be my last visit to Samurai Bistro… Sushi is, as Eric W. described, just Meh… maybe a little worse. Did not have a fresh flavor, or great textures. Actually I have had buffet sushi better than last night. Place was empty with exception of two groups at hibachi tables… Of note the Smelt Roe sushi which was some weird dark red color(food coloring?) and definitely not fresh(both smell and taste). When I told the waitress to take it off my bill as it was not edible, she spoke with the sushi chef, and then she returned with fresh smelt roe, the proper orange color… and absolutely delicious!!! But why did I have to ask for fresh… isnt it implied that when people eat sushi they expect it to be fresh??? OMG… seriously??? With Cowtown Sushi and Sushi Zushi just up the street, I will not venture into this place again. The only reason they got 2 and not 1 star is the effort to replace the spoiled smelt roe…

I Was invited to this place yesterday evening for dinner and was excited to go because I hadn’t been to a hibachi place in probably over a year. They started us off with soup and salad. I didn’t like the salad one bit, it was too watery and we were served a light orange dressing that was kind of clumpy. After pushing that aside we continued on with mushroom soup. It was good! I’m use to eating chunky soup and this was just broth with couple mushroom slices and chives for flavor. We ordered filet mignon. I have to admit I was worried about the lack of flavor in the food because the cook added little spices. First he prepared the fried rice and it tasted so good! I don’t really like egg in fried rice but the way he prepped it, it added that extra flavor to the meal. Little flavor was added to the noodles though. They added teriyaki sauce but it just tasted like boiled noodles :/ Next the cook prepared our shrimp, filet minon and finally our grilled veggies. The flavor on everything else was amazing. Meat was so tender. The cook was a nice older gentlemen. He was funny, he did tricks with the utensils and was pretty entertaining. This place was 45 minutes from home and I would definitely go again as early as next week for the rice, beef and shrimp… lol.

Kevin is a great hibachi cook. Sam is a good waiter. The manager had to make our fried calamari At first he forgot to make it. Then the waiter reminded him. He soaked it in some kind of spicy buffalo chili sauce. Not good. For some reason we kept eating it. Salmon was great Chicken was great. Sapporo was good too. They always seem to be short employees. I’ll still go there since hibachi is cool.

Ordered Take-out, the chicken and steak Hibachi and California rolls. My husband left less than 10 minutes after ordering to pick it up and it was ready by the time he got there(and it’s basically down the street). The Hibachi was really good, and since Benihana is both pretty far away and quite expensive I’d say this is a fair alternative. It came with 2 grilled shrimp, mushroom soup and a salad. My husband and I shared that and the very delicious California rolls and that was enough for us! All for less than $ 30! Will be coming back when craving hibachi! 1−3−16 Our take out got screwed up. There was only one customer in the whole restaurant… wtf? My mom called in the order and basically had a full on conversation about eggsrolls and how she wanted to order some. They were never in our order. My husband ordered teriyaki beef and got dry chunks of flavorless beef. We were supposed to get mushroom soup and got miso soup, fried rice was included in our dinner by they charged us an extra $ 3.00 for that. Probably not coming back.

We came for sushi and left disappointed. From the moment we walked in the door, it started out bad. First our ears were assaulted by the din from the hibachi tables. Second our noses were subjected to a variety of odors. Some were just the overwhelming variety of foods cooking on the hibachi tables. Others were perhaps cleaning compounds used on the tables. While our noses adjusted a bit, our ears did not. It was not going to be a quiet dining experience. The restaurant, except for an aquarium down the middle, is basically one big open room. We take our seats at the sushi bar and it’s OK. It’s seen better days. It, as well as the table seating, just has a worn look to it. Not bad unto itself, but just one more aspect to diminish the enjoyment of our dining experience. We looked over the menu and it’s reasonable. OK selection, moderate prices. We settle on a seaweed salad, a sashimi sampler(9 pieces for around 10 bucks) and a couple of rolls(one being a spider roll). Food arrives and all I can say, literally, is «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» While the flavor of the sashimi seemed OK, the texture was off. The rolls were on the smaller side and nothing to write home about. The thought that came to mind was«buffet sushi», and I found it amusing I’m not the only reviewer with this opinion. I think for many this place might be OK, especially perhaps for the hibachi(which is not really our thing). However for sushi in Keller we’ll have to revisit the other options, as Samurai Bistro did not make the cut for us.
