Always Good. I really like having a Zaxby’s around as an alternative for wings from the standard Buffalo Wild Wings and Wingstop, and I like the Chicken FARMORE than Raising Cane’s. They offer a good selection of sauce choices(although I wish they’d mix BBQ with one of the hotter sauces) and, for crinkle-cut, the fries are good. The high-walled tables keep the noise down, allowing for a comfortable, casual dining experience. I’ve been a number of times and will continue to go back.

Had the Caesar chicken salad today. Very good! Fresh and great tasting! Will return soon! A bit pricey but good food.

Won’t be back. Our first time was mediocre and 2nd try was a disappointment. It’s a slow Sunday afternoon and we ordered the wing special. The wing sauce was stone cold, making the wings completely unappetizing. It was just poured over the top of the wings, instead of the wings being tossed in the sauce. Fries were soggy too. Customer service was lacking at best, but not much was expected in that area. Floors and bathrooms were pretty gross. As I said before, we won’t be back. Indescribably good is their new slogan. More like Indescribably bad.

While I liked the options, everything here was in need of some seasoning. If I’m ever in the area I might give it another shot. Maybe it was just a bad night. Overall, not my favorite but not bad either.

A group of co-workers and I ordered lunch from here. We get there and the guy at the register says hey I just clocked in and was not willing to look into our orders at all on his computer. They threw the orders on the counter and told us that they were ours before even confirming our names. We looked at the tickets and thankfully they were ours. We loaded it all in our car and headed back to work, when we get there everyone evidently was supposed to get drinks and we weren’t ever offered them at the store. The chicken was not good, toast was meh. Needless to say we will be driving the extra mile down the road to Raisin’ Canes from now on. Horrible customer service, and not so great food. No-one was happy in our group of 6 with the experience here.

This place is ok. I’d rather have Canes or Chickfila, but it wasn’t bad. Just my preference. Nice and clean, good service.

Ordered takeout Salad with grilled chicken was plentiful and good. Chicken fingerz were excellent! Chicken wings(hot) were okay. Still lookin’ for the best in class.

I’m not really sure how this place stays in business. I must’ve ordered the wrong thing — chicken. Ours was so salty that I couldn’t eat more than two and it took a whole soda just to wash those down. Maybe we just had a bad visit, but I don’t want to venture back to try it again.

We came here for the first time a little while ago and really liked it. I got the original wings and loved them. The sauce is nothing like a typical«wing sauce» — it’s got it’s own flavor and it is wonderful. I can’t remember what hubby got, but he liked it. Little man got chicken and fries and liked those, too. I will say that paying extra for the Texas toast is one thing, but when it’s dry and not very flavorful, that’s a big bummer. Overall, though, we had a really good experience here and will be back.

This location is close to the house so we’ve visited several times. The people are friendly and the food is consistently very good. I’m a fan of the spicy chicken sandwich and my wife tends to favor the salads. Self-serve beverages are a plus, and the iced tea is very good as well. Reliable over time is tough to beat. This is a local favorite of mine for a quick lunch on the run.

Their Zax’s sauce is exactly the same sauce as Raising Cane’s. But honestly… Zaxby’s chicken is better flavored and generally tastier. Now, I only have experience at the RC location off of 121 in Grapevine/Bedford(whatever they call themselves there) and their chicken was extremely bland and relied on the sauce for any flavoring. I’m not sure that I’d make a special trip to go back, but if I’m ever on this side of town and hungry for chicken I’ll definitely go here again. They even included the same crinkle-cut fries, garlic bread, and coleslaw that RC offers. I think the prices might have been a little lower too, but that could just have been because we didn’t order drinks.

I had the chicken strips and they were really tasty. Best strips I’ve had. Needs more menu items.

Zaxbys is my favorite chicken place! The chicken fingers and fries are amazing! The«tator chips»(fresh made potato chips) are really good as well. They also do a really good salad(and I’m not much of a salad fan) everything from the Texas toast to the sweet tea is top notch. It’s a bit more pricey then most chicken places, but the portions are big and the taste and quality is unmatched

Meal started out as 3 stars but the more we ate the less we liked what we were eating. I had an order of 10 wings, Thuy had the«Wings and Things»(the«things» were chicken strips). The wings were dry and not very enjoyable. The tenders were just average tenders and the Zax Sauce(which comes with the tenders) lacked personality. In the end the best part of the meal was the celery sticks. And yeah, for a less than enjoyable meal, we thought it was expensive($ 14.59, no drinks). On the plus side it’s a very clean restaurant and the people working there were courteous and helpful(this kept it from being a 1-star review). Is that enough to bring you in? Probably not, but it strikes me as a kid-friendly menu(check out the Birthday Cake Shake).

I like this place! I almost let a a couple of the other Unilocal reviews deter me, but I had never been here nor heard of this place. Nevertheless, the chicken on the sign and the drive-thru was intriguing. Plus I didn’t want to go grocery shopping hungry. Time to go for it and make my own call. First: the price. I find the prices fine; I mean $ 4 – 5 bucks for a chicken sandwich seems like the going rate(sans drink, but with crinkle fries). That’s about how much it is for your mainstay Chik-fil-A sandwich, and that’s without cheese, bacon, and vegetables(I got the club). Other, cheaper meals exist on the menu that include fries and a drink, so I attest that the prices are not outrageous. The boyfriend said his was«good for grilled chicken.» I usually wouldn’t eat American cheese, but this was good. And I’m seldom a fan of crinkle fries, but they were crispy and I like seasoning salt(= prejudice). The place was clean and open. It’s definitely fast food that hails from the South, so I had to wipe my hands of oil from the Texas toast repeatedly. Took about three napkins and a hand wash. But sooo good. They even sell Texas toast as a side(cheapos! More about this in a min), so they ain’t playing. The menu actually looked pretty big, but bacon and Texas toast will guide my decision every time. What kept it from five stars? I guess selling the advertised sauce as an extra is annoying. I guess I never realized that I took Arby’s inherent generosity of keeping several flavor pumps out for granted. Also, it was really freaking cold in here. I would’ve like to have eaten my awesome sandwich with my jacket off, but whatever. I’m just looking for stuff now.

So, my friend suggested we go here last night, and I immediately consulted Unilocal,as I do with any place that I have never been to. The Keller location was not listed, but the Richardson one was. The reviews were not good, so I was not pumped. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. One reviewer for the Richardson location said that he wasn’t sure how to classify this place. I put it squarely in the fast food column, as it has a drive-through, and no wait service at all. It reminded me a bit of Popeyes in the way that it is set up, and it has a similar price point. Any comparison ends there. The chicken strips are delightful. They don’t suffer from being over-breaded, as fast food chicken strips often are. They were well-seasoned, even though one friend commented she thought they were too salty. Their«special» sauce, called Zax Sauce, was really, really good. Starts off sweet, but evens out. I can’t quite put my finger on what it is, but I thought it was one of the best things about the place. Crinkle-cut fries are always a plus in my book, and these were perfectly golden and had a good seasoning salt on them. They ace my test. We also got a few of their«appetizers»: The fried mushrooms and the fried white cheddar bites. The fried mushrooms were very good, and served with another of their signature sauces. I didn’t care for the white cheddar bites. I think it might have been because they are cheddar and I am used to fried cheese being mozzarella. Overall, it was a great experience. If I ever want fast food chicken, I would choose this place over any of the other contenders, hands down.
