Palace Inn

Upon arrival I was optimistic room was huge and clean! Was looking forward to my stay. Didn’t last long ok washer & dryer price raised same day it’s broken. Not to big a deal the women was very helpful in calling and suggesting closest laundromat. Then not sure who he is but manager or owner literally kept peeping into our room. Didn’t trip to much till it continued to happen. Husband caught him as well. Figured that may make it stop but it did not. He then informed front desk to not reactivate my key leaving me locked out literally in cold. I was livid I guess I humiliated him by taking pic while he was creeping trying to obtain proof to call authorities. We promptly checked out. Also have porn Chanel be aware if bringing children and wifi steady in and out. Advertise gym not one available and no intentions of putting one in. Do not honor do not disturbed sign on door called several times while on door. Was not good experience at all left feeling violated by the owner peeping in room. I’m talking forehead pressed against glass hand around eyes blocking sun while I am sitting on couch. Was going to recommend by how clean day maid keeps her rooms but will never again step foot on property let alone recommend…

Cheap rate and clean room with lots of space. Iron board was broken but no big deal. Very close to the bay. Only complaint was that I put in a late checkout request with my reservation that wasn’t honored. Overall very satisfied!

This was the first place we found after going through Galveston that had a room available. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We had a good nights sleep.
The lighting was not the best. Only ceiling lights were in the room, no bedside table lamps. The TV was decent, but the cable signal was not good so the image was crappy. The continental breakfast was one of the most minimal I have seen in a long time.
Like I said, I slept well. If I need a room in this area I would consider staying here again.
