Fantastic! I order the boiled shrimp! Wow… I’ll be back for the lobster. My friends ordered the steak sandwich and it was very tasty and tender. Service was spot on.

Food was mediocre, table was dirty and waitress was very slow to greet. Order was wrong and half cooked. Bread to meat ratio is way off. Cool location but gross food.

I went for the first time a couple weekends ago for Sunday Brunch. Star was nice, food was fantastic, view was awesome, and it was just all around a good experience. My girls and I are already talking about going for brunch again

Excellent food, the steaks melt in your mouth. Atmosphere is beautiful and the views are too. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because of the waiter. We have had to same guy twice in a row and he is never to be found! He pretty much showed up to make sure someone had helped him get our order then he showed up with a check. The others that were helping him were great! Not sure why they keep that guy.

The Stuffed Shrimp was delicious and our server was excellent! However they had an event in the banquet room and I think we may have received leftover rice because it was hard and dried out. Our server was very apologetic and brought us potatoes instead as well as a separate new dish of rice, but this rice was undercooked. They did comp my dessert, but since it was my birthday they would have done that anyway. This is the second time we have been there in the evening and were disappointed. We like the location in the marina on the water and have decided that we would try the lunch menu before we completely cross them off our list.

Love this place! Favorite is the campechana, salmon, and brunch! Love the rolls. Great mud pie. Ask for Hans! Husbands favorites are cabbage rolls, shrimp Bimini, and Caesar salad. Great for wedding and groups.

My wife and I tried this for dinner. Service was decent, but the waiter was very nice. I ordered the the Chicken Parm, which was decent. The noodles seemed a little over cooked, but the chicken was tasty. A tad spicy, but not bad. My wife ordered the Tropical Salman Salad, which she enjoyed. The fish was delicious. Our stay was short since this was the night before Thanksgiving, but we didn’t feel rushed or like we were intruding for getting there at 7:30p. I believe the place is owned by a German, lots of German items on the menu. We haven’t taken our German friends yet so I can’t comment on the authenticity. We’d definitely go again.

While looking for a venue to book a special occasion, a friend recommended Sundance Grill II, so we went there for a casual lunch for two, and so I could see the property. The setting(on the marina) gets no better than this. The food(we had burger lunches), was great(and the portion size was plenty ample). We sat on the patio because it was such a nice day, and were the only two patrons out there. Most of the patrons were inside at the bar. Although we were away from the main body of patrons, we were not forgotten. Our server, Brittany, was the consummate professional, and we had a great time chatting and laughing with her too. Service was prompt(our food and drinks came out right away), and Brittany was very attentive during our entire stay, which ran well past the time it takes to eat lunch. Sundance Grill II is a gem, and a perfect setting for my planned surprise celebration!

The food was very good but the wait time to be served was extremely long. We made it there at 12:30pm for brunch and didn’t leave there until 2:30. Even if the food was brought out by courses as the waitress explained it should not take 2hrs to have brunch. It probably would be first and last time visit the establishment.

Service was incredibly slow. Food was mediocre considering the ambiance of the restaurant. I expected more from them. We were there at an off time but I would have expected even better service since they weren’t busy.

My wife and I dined there two days ago and had the Sunday brunch. Words cannot describe how exceptional the quality of the food and also the service was. Our experience was enjoyable to say the very least. The crabcakes are out of this world as are the conch fritters. She ordered the fillet and eggs while I got the shrimp pasta. You could slice through her perfectly cooked steak without a knife. And my pasta was complex and delightful! We will absolutely be going back and look forward to it. Wonderful food, friendly and competent staff, and very nice views. Additionally, the air-conditioner was set on arctic blast and felt great! Perfect for summer in Houston.

Honestly? If u want a drink with a view, go… Looking for good food? Good service? Look elsewhere!!! Specially on a special day like Mothers Day! My dad made a reservation here so we’d all enjoy a very nice place and eat some good food… He’s soooo sorry now! I just regret I didnt take pictures of the plates of food so y’all could have laughed! Today was a Sunday… Mothers Day! May 10th, 2015. 6 adults… We made our reservation Thursday… And being such a celebrated day you would imagine restaurants would buy enough food for all. No? You would imagine they would organize staff to be on top of things, etc… Well, this wasnt the case! 1.- Appetizers. Any surprise with common cold shrimp?.. Not really, but everybody love them — So I ordered Antipasto… Lol! Really? A mini plate of cold mini rolls of ham with a couple mini pieces of vegetables?: 1⁄10 of an artichoke, and 1⁄8 of a pickle… LOL When I say mini, it means not even«gourmet» looking plates. Mini as in very little-very bad looking pieces of food. like poor left overs! 1.5.- The Bread… It seamed they wanted to either serve one piece of bread per person or they didnt have a manager. Either way they forgot they were serving food to people in Texas… It felt like they were going to look for the bread a mile away or something… 1 piece per person every 30 mins. With plenty of space in the room… Why haven’t they thought of getting a basket full of bread per room. At least that would keep people entertained through all the loooooong waiting times… 2.- The salad! Lol! Just hilarious!!! A SINGLELEAFOFOLDLETTUCE with A thin slice of tomato cut in half, with two drops of pink sauce that they called«vinagrette» lol! Literally! Hilarious! Soooo sorry I didnt take a picture!!! Just hilarious!!! Ridiculous salad!!! 2.5.-The Wait: The restaurant wasnt even full!!! And it seamed they looked for food two miles away… walking!!! 2.6.- They ran out of Champagne on the salad course… 3.- The Entrée: Fillet Minon… OMG. I just fell sad for everybody… A.-Filet Minon is not served on a white-table-restaurant out of a burning grill!!! It was almost charcoil! Burned… The cut doesnt just replace the cooking! Hire a Chef for god sake!!! B.-they offered sparragus and then served green beans… C.- We ALL found missing pieces of food on our plates: some had a corner of a slice of tomato, others had a single grape just laying there… Just sad, very sad… Mashed potatoes where ok. 4.- Desert: another hilarious joke!!! I dont know where they hire their chefs… Seriously? A very old Apple Struddle, raw crust… Lol! Just pain and horrible! Old and dry chocolate cake and bread pudding… Just not worth it! 5.- The Bill: on the«Champagne Brunch Menu», the meal was advertized to be $ 40.92 per person… Lol! For this quality of food??? I rather eat at McDonalds(and I dont like McDonalds!!!) Seriously!!! And then… They charged us $ 55 for gratuity(Tip)??? LOL!!! The Bill was $ 315.00 for the worst food I’ve ever had!!! Soooo sorry we took my mom here!!! :( I’m writing this review just cause It bothers me sooooo much when they rip people off with the excuse of a pretty place or view!!! Seriously??? Respect your customers a little more!!! This restaurant? NOTWORTHIT!!!

Came on a Sunday around 1:30 it wasn’t busy but the service was incredibly slow. It took 20 minutes to get the water and beers we ordered. It took 40 minutes to get our food. Food was average. They had no champagne for the champagne brunch and 3 bottles of wine we ordered they were out of. Other then the location I wouldn’t come back or recommend.

We’ve been to the pre Ike flood location numerous times but this was out first visit to the south location. We were pleased. The service was excellent. We docked the boat, plopped down on the patio and were spoiled rotten. The food was better than we expected or remembered. Awesome time. We are definitely going back.

Great spot to eat on the water. Nice service and good food. They have a few German items on the menu. I had the cabbage roll. It wasn’t like Oma used to make, but it was still very good.

Hans is super, its a classy joint white table cloths and all. A little on the expensive side but the staff are nice, upscale and happy to see you. The drinks were good and the food great. Definitely on my list of returns. Great for a date too if your looking for such a place. The views of the boats are great and you can sit outside by the pool if you like. I cant imagine getting in the pool as the set up is strange but it is a lovely pool. As I was staying in this area for almost a month I came back a few times and each time I had a different experience. Brunch is good as are the bloody marys but it was slow with the server explaining they couldnt find the bartender and true to his word when I passed the bar there was none to be found. Lunch was disappointing and the bartender that day was rubbish and complete disaster. With some better staff this place would be awesome.

Came here for our office Christmas lunch today. The place itself has a nice atmosphere! We had a buffet style lunch, which consisted of salad, rice, green beans, and a choice of pork, chicken or salmon. Seeing as how the pork and chicken were in a cream sauce, I opted for the salmon, which had an incredibly fishy taste. Yeah, I get it, it’s fish, but this was overwhelming and I have always been told it means the fish isn’t fresh. Nonetheless, I ate it because I seriously have an iron gut!!! LOL. I also got the salad but found a hair in it so I quit eating it, just didn’t really need the extra protein from the hair at that point. It could have fallen from anyone’s head, including one of my colleagues, so who knows. Green beans tasted good though! I skipped dessert but it was probably so good that I’m going to tell myself it was probably awful! Basically, I left hungry, but no biggie because my next meal was only 2.5 hours away in the form of a snack bar! I will come back another time and just try something off the menu to give them a really fair chance because it might actually be pretty good!

After an afternoon of sailing, four of us were famished and craving seafood. We decided on the Sundance Grill, located in the same marina as where the boat is stored. Upon entering I was impressed by the atmosphere and thought we were about to have an excellent meal. The views were spectacular, there were white table clothes, and the place had a very country club vibe. After being seated inside, we opted to sit outside, as we noticed there was a live band since it was Memorial Day. Our waitress was very friendly and sweet, yet pretty uneducated about the menu. She didn’t really have any suggestions and confessed that she didn’t even like seafood?! Cray cray… For an appetizer we shared the campachana. It was tasty and hit the spot, but I think it may have been pace picante sauce mixed with seafood. It had a very familiar taste. We were starving so we ate it all. I ordered the grilled shrimp po-boy. As it was placed in front of me I literally started laughing. My dining companions, knowing I am a Unilocaler, got a kick out of the ridiculousness that faced me.(see pic). There were about 6 small shrimp WITHTHETAILS placed on a sad bun. The sauce served on the side was Thousand Island(ew). It was the saddest sandwich I’ve ever seen. I managed to rip off half the bread, squish the few shrimp I had into a more tolerable condensed sandwich, but it still didn’t taste good. I learned that the chef is from Germany and that his wiener schnitzel is delicious, but I don’t want to eat that after a day out on the boat. Sorry chef. We will not be back here again. I’ll use Unilocal to find our new go-to place after sailing.
