Sitting here right now having a cinnamon honey latte. It’s seasonal. Delicious. I would give it 4.5 stars overall if I could because the drink is way too hot. Took 10 minutes to have a drink. Cozy setting and fast service.

I moved to Richland from Seattle because of my husbands job, and I was a little worried about leaving behind my favorite coffee shop. Then we stopped into the Local– I felt right at home! The coffee is delicious, and their baristas are knowledgable, but unpretentious. They also carry a number of non-dairy alternatives, and great tea blends. My husband is still mourning the fact that they stopped making sandwiches, but I’ve noticed that beverage service has gotten faster– so that’s good.

Love this place. Great coffee. Great atmosphere. The baristas know their stuff. It’s surprisingly less expensive than SB. I’m never disappointed. Don’t get it to go, they craft beautiful drinks. Sit down and enjoy your drink to get the full effect.

I love this coffee shop — everyone from the baristas to the atmosphere. It’s a little small and not too many tables so it can get crowded easily. But totally worth just getting the coffee as well. I’ve never had a green tea latte, much less heard of it. ITWASDABOMB. Wasn’t expecting the green tea flavor, but it came out a lot in the latte! Highly recommend it to any green tea lovers out there.

So so lucky we have The Local in Tri-Cities. This is the perfect place you look for when you want to: 1. Chillax with a nice cup of tea/coffee and read a book or study in peace while sunk in their relaxing big chairs. 2. Meet up with a friend and chat till the cows come home or until they kick you out. Actually, they’re so nice that they won’t even tell you when you’ve been sitting there 30 mins past closing time. Oops, guilty! 3. Support a local coffee shop and not give all your money to Starbucks. It’s okay to give some but let’s spread our wealth to other coffeeshops. ;-) 4. THEBESTSOYCHAITEA!!! Creamy, rich and flavorful but not too sweet. To top it off, the staff there are amazing. They’re attentive and friendly but will leave you alone to do as you please. They will not mean mug you if you sit there for hours nursing a drink or two. So far, it’s my favorite coffeeshop in the area.

I absolutely LOVE The Local! This place not only has the best coffees and loose leaf teas, it also makes amazing smoothies and baked goods! I fell in love with the drinks & food the very first time that I went in, and then fell in love with the ambiance! What a cozy, lovely, well arranged sitting area they have! This place is LGBTQ friendly, and we hold our local LGBTQ meetups there often, the staff is polite, friendly, helpful when needing help choosing your drink, and keep the place moving along quickly! The café is laid back & clean, they have games and outdoor seating, you just can not go wrong with this place at all! Thank you to the staff at The Local for their awesome service!

Picked the first coffee house near my hotel. Stopped in for a coffee, turn around time was slow, but the staff was very kind. I sure don’t mind waiting for a good drink. I would say the coffee is very smooth and not super acidic, not a huge flavor selection. Swing by if you have some time.

This is a great coffee place. The drinks, I’ve really just tried lattes, are wonderful. The coffee flavor is some if the best I’ve had. When ever I’m over to that part of the Tricities I will always stop by for my ‘cup of joe’. Great service and great coffee!

Super cute chill place. The only downside are the limited hours. Especially when ur a night owl who loves coffee shops.

I always try to help out the local economy and I usually find that the local coffee house offers an opportunity to experience both new coffee flavors and unique décor. On a whim we decided that The Local sounded interesting and looked like it deserved a visit. The décor is clean and open. There are a number of tables and chairs that will accommodate about 20 – 30 patrons. There is also outdoor seating. The coffee is served in mugs if you choose to stay and mix with the regulars. They have the usual variety of espresso drinks with one rare option-you can have your coffee made with hemp milk. Is this another fad or is hemp milk actually more healthy than cow’s milk? We arrived in the middle of the afternoon so if food is served here we missed it. There were a few pastries left on the counter so, had I been hungry, I would not have starved. The coffee flavor was smooth. There was very little bite to my vanilla latte. Depending on how you like your coffee will make you choose between smooth, here, and Starbucks, where the coffee has more bite. A nice place, worth another visit.

This place reminds me of the locally owned coffee places in Phoenix that are part of the hipster hangouts except that in Phoenix, I’ve never seen«hemp» as one of the milk alternatives for a latte. I know that this is Washington state, but I was so shocked with the hemp option, that I forgot to order my taste test coffee, an Americano, for all new-to-me coffee places. Instead, I ordered a caramel vanilla latte(with regular milk), which the barista said is popular with the caramel macchiato crowd. I asked if it would have an overly sugary taste, and he assured me that it would be perfectly balanced, and it was. Baristas here are just as hipster as the Phoenix baristas. I drank my latte in a stay-here ceramic cup, which was very civilized, and as I sat down to enjoy my drink with the hubby, we were quickly searching on our phones for what exactly and how exactly hemp«milk» is made. Location is great if you are shopping nearby at the Columbia Center Mall or Costco. I’ll definitely be back. I have to try an Americano and at least a latte with almond milk.

Coffee: Not locally roasted, but delicious — imported from Seattle. I had a Guatemalan pourover. A bit pricey: $ 2.50, but excellent. A perfect place for conversation(although it was quiet enough to hear everyone else’s conversations), reading or deep study. FRUSTRATION! No printed menu giving the prices for the various brewing options… They could use some kind of vacuum press available for refills — this would make them much closer to Portland or Seattle for we who need a good study location on a budget.

I love these guys. Coolest baristas, great coffee, and the atmosphere is what I want in a coffee shop. They even have great craft beers now for when you want to go out for a beer but don’t want the restaurant or bar environment. Come support a fantastic local business in an area where corporate chains unfortunately dominate.

Loved this coffee shop, it’s located only a few spots down from Graze. Finally the Tri-Cities is making strides in the right direction pertaining to coffee. Walked in and was greeted by a very friendly gentleman, since it was our first time, the gentleman told me to order their American with honey, excellent choice I must vouch for! Great beans, nicely balanced drink from start to finish. On top of that the drink was piping hot which is awesome and should be a standard in coffee shops. Wife got their holiday version of the pumpkin spice latte which I enjoyed as well. He referred both great quality drink which I was very pleased for. To connect to their Wifi is slightly a nuisance since you have to ask the baristas for the password which is: BUYSOMECOFFEE: lol thank me later! Check them out and relax and just chill, their lounge is smaller than Sharehouse Coffee but this coffee here is better overall in my opinion

An amazing local tri-city business that feels like it was transplanted here from Portland or Seattle. They serve some fantastic coffee(drips, cold pours, etc), and even do growlers for totti. They also have some amazing sandwiches, with toasted and salted bread filled with generous portions. For those who want gluten free, this is the best place in the area for lunch.
