Kenosha’s best breakfast and lunch place. When I worked in the area it was our go to place. Now that I am back in the area I’m thrilled my path has Danny’s nearby again. How many cinnamon rolls can someone eat? Doesn’t matter, as long as you get them here, they can’t be beat.

Was given a gift certificate so decided to try it out. Went for a 6:30 breakfast, wasn’t busy. Waitress was rude. Soda was flat. Coffee was mediocre. My husband asked her about meat in the gravy for biscuits and gravy. She said it was good. Saw one piece of sausage in a three biscuit and gravy plate. Ham and cheese omelette is a joke. Sliced ham, half a slice of cheese on top, no cheese in the omelette. Hash browns cold and soggy. Toast just thrown on top, had to place toast on a napkin for room. Absolutely awful place. Can’t figure out why it’s so loved by some. Save your money and stay home.

Classic diner food… Nothing special about it at all. Coffee is tasteless and old, corn beef hash was decent but a bit salty for my taste. Pancakes and toast are what you’d expect from store bought bread and pancake mix. The atmosphere was quaint and eclectic. Servers are very friendly and welcoming. The food came to the table very quickly which was nice but also raises questions regarding«pre-preparation». Over all I wouldn’t reccomend it but I wouldn’t tell you not to go.

If you are going out for breakfast this is the best place in Kenosha. Great food, great service, great prices what more could you ask for? Spend your time looking at all the great and funny saying posted all over the walls. I like the number 2 breakfast but they are all good.

Danny’s is a locally owned business not a franchise. The food is great, I recommend the breakfast tacos, they are excellent! I’ve heard people knock the décor but I think it’s a comfortable and friendly place.

Walking in I felt over whelmed by the massive amount of signs, after reading ten of them I stopped because they became more annoying than cute. Maybe to some its kitschy cute, but to me it just looks like unnecessary clutter. Today I just went with my husband, a rare treat for us since we have two kids and I work full time. The lady who greeted us took our drink orders and ran off, any time I was about to ask a question she would interrupt me and start again rattling off what they have to offer. Here is the problem with the drinks unless your drinking coffee you might as well ask for water with lemon and make lemonade because the«large» cup is child size, and priced so high you might as well go to a grocery store and buy a gallon of milk. $ 2.49 for soda, $ 2.29 for milk in less than 8 ounce glasses, my husband got one refill on his soda but they gave me a look of disgust when I asked for a refill. That is when I asked for water and it was received with attitude. My husband ordered the country fried steak with eggs and toast, for $ 9.99 It arrived in a portion that I could have split with him. The cook on the chicken steak was actually good, the gravy was obviously out of a can and so lacked all flavor but it was cooked properly. His eggs were sunny side up and also cooked properly but he barely touched them or the toast for he was full off the chicken steak. For the price and the amount I guess its reasonable, but if you cut the portion in half with better quality ingredients I probably would still consider it reasonable. I ordered corned beef hash with sunny side up eggs for $ 7.99. It arrived just as I expect and tasted just as I expected. Eggs were perfect and the hash was also canned but finding someone who does it by scratch is rare so I don’t expect it from greasy spoon restaurants. Over all the price is higher than reasonable for what I received, I walked out feeling like for ¼th of the price I should have stayed home and make it there but I was starving. Total for two having breakfast $ 24.01 I didn’t even bother to look at the kids menu prices because honestly I don’t think I would return to have a family meal at this establishment.

I like a breakfast restaurant with a counter and Danny’s has one. I have been going to Danny’s for over 25 years and have only ordered one item — the Breakfast Taco. I also like my coffee simple, mellow, black and hot and that’s exactly how it’s served here. Today’s Breakfast Taco was extraordinarily good. I have never had a service or quality issue in my 25-plus years of frequenting Danny’s.

Great food! The line to get in is not fun, but I have never had a bad meal. Cinnamon Rolls are excellent..

First time here. A little busy but our wait was extremely long. Got a broccoli and cheese omelet with ham and bacon. The meat was not mixed in with the eggs which was disappointing. We also got biscuits and gravy which was absolutely terrible. It had no flavor and was cold! Felt like we were eating prison food. Pancakes were fully cooked either.

Terrible experience! We walked in & the rude hostess told us to go in back & pick a seat. They were all filthy 8 empty dirty tables on a Wednesday morning at 9? Then we found a booth after she tried to make us sit in the one tiny clean table among all that filth. We watched them talk & point at us as if we were wrong for not wanting to sit in dirt. Very rude service, now the food. What place specializes in breakfast tacos & uses ground beef & as she said«spaghetti sauce mix» instead of chorizo & uses flour tortillas ?? Gross! There famous skillet was not a skillet at all but a plate of food slopped together & as my wife said she felt like she got fed the dogs dish of leftovers, undercooked paper thin bacon. We have lived here over a year & have been waiting to try this place, they r always packed. This puzzles me as they even use liquid eggs in their omelette… Really! This place is like a truck stop experience, except no one should stop. GROSS!

Every time I drive by they are always full. I was not sure when I checked the Unilocal page before I went to this Café. OMG what great food, and lots of it. Most things on the menu are under $ 10.00. The food is good, the staff is friendly. the restaurant is a bit bigger inside than it looks outside. It can get a bit noise, lots of people. If you are looking for frills look someplace else. If you want a good farm breakfast this is the place. When you order coffee you get a pot for the table. Very nice. Good coffee. Will come back again., Thanks

Just gross, I think George Webbs is better! I was sick all day after eating at this grease pit. Do not waste your $, it’s also overpriced.

We’ve tried Danny’s several times, hoping to be more impressed. The staff is friendly, but the food is overpriced and unimpressive. The homemade cinnamon rolls are the only thing worth the trip, Yum! Absolutely, the worst coffee in any breakfast establishment I’ve been too.

Many people seem to like the place, but I don’t see the appeal. The worst thing is their automatic use of crappy margarine-oil soution to cook everything in, spread on toast, and serve in little cups for use at the table. What is this junk — and why would a Wisconsin restaurant even use it? My eggs were good, the toast selection is excellent, but then they spread it with that crap described above. I had Potato pancakes with some things in it that must have been left on the skillet that wound up in the potatoes — bacon, for example. What’s with that?

Good food but a bit overpriced(especially the sides). The wait staff was friendly but a bit overwhelmed by a full house(you’re not getting a water refill without asking if they’re busy). Don’t come in with more than 5 people in your party or you probably won’t fit.

Don’t come in here looking for anything but good food made from scratch. Biscuits&Gravy are worth the wait on the weekends, hot sausage ommmmmmmelettes. It’s Wis, so they can still smoke. Thankfully the sit down counter is in nonsmoking ;-). Not far from I94, always make the 7 min trip east any time I cross the State Line.

Danny’s has been part of the breakfast establishment in Kenosha(a town that knows breakfast) for a long time. My personal favorite is their breakfast tacos. On the weekend, the hours are limited and there can be a wait to get seated.
