Best Greek chicken pita I’ve ever had… packed full of veggies and tons of chicken. Greek fries are a must get them with a side is tzatziki sauce…

The service is atrocious. Skinny chick working the counter is either the owners daughter. Or some angst ridden teen whose parents threw her out cause they were just fed up with her shit. I have never eaten chicken that was over cooked on one end and under cooked on the other. Magical grill master running the kebabs there. Somehow it took him 15 min to create that delectable delight. Later… that night. It felt like the entire Spartan army battled in my stomach.

The food seemed a bit bland, but not everyone likes tons of spice. I had the gyros dinner plate, it was okay. I did hit one tiny bone? in the gyro meat, kinda suprised, actually. The best part was the fries. Oh, the décor… someone needs to paint and fill in all those gashes in the woodwork, stat!!!

I found the food here to be ok at best. Tried the Feast platter that had 1 of each type of Souvlaki and Gyro meat with pita, Tzatziki sauce, onions, tomato, lettuce and fries. The pork souvlaki was tough and tasteless, it did not seem to have any seasoning on it at all. The chicken was better but nothing special. The gyro meat was oddly bland, I have never had bland gyro meat before. The tzatziki sauce was pretty boring as well. Nothing made we want to try it again. Husband had the same experience with his Souvlakis. Service was friendly and fairly fast but nothing made us want to come back and try anything else.

The food is great. I usually get the gyro, and have never had any issue with it. The staff is very friendly and helpful when you come in. The inside is clean, and always looks nice. My fiancé always gets the Sparti Burger(burger w gyro meat on it) and is obsessed with it. Definitely one of our favorite places to eat!

I’ve never had a bad experience here — good food for a good price and great service! I particularly recommend the hot dog special in regular or ‘Maxwell Street’ style. My only negative is that there is a television, although at least it’s muted.

Good food but they cut back on the gyro meat so much that it isn’t worth the price you pay.

Sparti’s Gyros is an alright place. The fries are crispy and nice, and the hotdogs are pretty good. It’s a smaller restaurant, which is fine, and the food tasted pretty good, the only real major downside was all of the large bones that I kept on finding in my gyro. Yes, bones, plural rather large bone shards.(Just like Pamela.) They were the size of baby teeth. To say the least, that was off-putting. I don’t know if they use Kronos as their supplier or if they make the Gyro-loaf in-house, but either way, if you are going to eat here, eat slowly, and make sure you have dental insurance.

Excellent gyros! Best gyro meat I’ve ever had. The tzatziki is super fresh! Great little place close to the highway!

Very definitely ok. We hit up Sparti’s because everything else in the area is basically gross and deep fried. I was really happy to see a «healthy» section on the menu with a good number of choices. Mister had the mixed souvlaki(chicken + pork) and I stuck with the ½ size chicken souvlaki. The meat was tender + juicy, and especially good with their garlicky tzatziki sauce. My side of rice was pretty heinous — basically tasted like Minute Rice. In a way that was good as I wasn’t at all tempted to overeat. Upgrading to a Greek salad for $ 1.50 is a better choice. Some reviewers have had bad service, but we didn’t. The cashier was friendly and busy cleaning when there weren’t people ordering. For quick, inexpensive eating in the area, Sparti’s is pretty good.

The price for a gyro sandwich: about $ 6 The price for my gyro meat salad(with the pita on top, so basically a sandwich opened, upside down on extra lettuce) ~$ 9 — why??? The gyro meat was generous, but I kept getting hard things in between my teeth. I guess that was bone? Gross. My lettuce was not cleaned properly — I saw dirt on it(see pic). Gross. The fork was so flimsy I really couldn’t even stab my meat with it. For the love of Pete spend and extra 5 cents on decent untensils!!! The dressings were good, one oil and one tzatziki. Lots of feta. Could be a great place, they just need to get a few things improved. Starting with proper cleaning of produce and maybe a better source for the gyro meat(sans bone bits).

very disappointing portion size for the chicken pita. I don’t need tons of meat hanging over the bread, but I looked down at the few strips of chicken and thought«Wow, I wish I wasn’t so darn hungry!» I guess I have Oakland Gyros standards!

Great traditional Chicago style greek hot dog place. I recommend the gyro plate and the sparti burger. The fries are good, the diet coke is good also. I have been here numerous times and plan on going many more. Highly recommended.

I know it’s called Sparti’s Gyros, but I keep coming back for their pork souvlaki. It is out of this world! I also love the Greek potatoes! There hasn’t been a single item on the menu that I’ve tried from gyros to hotdogs to soup and more that I haven’t enjoyed. Plus, they keep the restaurant immaculate(a rarity to find in Kenosha). Ok, I need to finish this up because I am getting hungry just writing about it!

This is a fantastic Greek owned Chicago style hot dog stand with an added bonus of authentic Greek food on the menu. It’s everything Chicagoans love about their neighborhood hot dog stand and then some. The food is excellent, the service is great, and the place is spotless. What else could you ask for?

Exceptional food? Yes, exceptionally average, exceptionally underwhelming and exceptionally blah. Listen, the food is average at best if you know or have experienced Greek food to any degree. The gyros is typical frozen spit roasted and tastes like it. The tzaiziki sauce was runny without any hint of either cucumber or onion. The fries while fresh and hot were undercooked making them slightly mealy and barely crispy. I don’t expect Greek Islands quality homemade gryos and sauce, but come on this could be much better,. Next time I’ll try the dogs and see how this fares.
