Loved the kindness of these guys the last time so I took my 14 year old Honda CR-​V here instead of the corporate monster called Greg’s.
I took a road trip to the Methow Valley for a ski weekend and noticed my coolant was low. Refilled. Saw some spatter under the hood when I returned.
Dropped Dorothy off at Carbs at 7 AM on a Friday — my day off. They open at 8. By 9 they had already performed diagnostics and yes, I needed a new radiator as I thought.
I authorized repairs and also requested an oil change (synthetic). Agreed.
My beloved Dorothy was fixed by 1 PM and I picked her up an hour later.
OMG these guys are GREAT!
I was worried I would have to rent a car while waiting for repairs.
I was hoping it would be less expensive (than what you ask?). But car repairs are always expensive. Since «expensive» is subjective I’ll just tell it like it is:
$ 90 diagnostic fee
$ 280 radiator part
$ 180 labor
$ 70 synthetic oil change
Add tax, bill ~$ 700.
If I got ripped off, then you’ll have info not to go here.
If a fair price, then you’ll know you’ll get great service and a good price.
