Just what I was looking for. Small place, great atmosphere. good food. And a place to drink a beer and chill for a few hours. The prices are reasonable. Service was good even though it was busy. I would absolutely come back.

Came to Artisan about a dozen times since it opened in December 2012, usually for beer and snacks. The ambiance is not bad, usually quiet, but can’t help but leave the impression of being cheesy while trying hard at being hip. Decent beer selection, however the staff knows absolutely nothing about beer. The service is very bad. About 10 minutes after we sat down we had to ask the server if we can please order some food and drinks. The servers chat between each other and it is often difficult to get their attention. While we were placing an order, the manager interrupted our server and talked to her(in spanish) for 2 minutes before she could get back to us. How can the servers be hospitable when the manager is even worse? Beef sliders are $ 16(the cheapest entrée you can get). They’re decent, but very overpriced and don’t even come with fries. Fries($ 5) are the skinny kind and too dry. The sous-chef brought the sliders out on the counter, and they sat there for three minutes before I alerted the server and asked her if she can bring it to me before it gets cold. I’m not sure why these are in the slider form — all three are exactly the same. Why not just make it a regular-sized burger? If you don’t care about the cheesiness, bad service, or overpriced food, Artisan is about as good as Key Biscayne gets for ambiance and beer selection.

Service is hilariously awful! I ordered the Duck Confit special. The waitress spoke zero english. That’s fine, because nothing else rhymed with Duck Confit. She brought Tacos about 20 minutes later. The place was empty at 4pm. I asked her if this was the Duck Confit, she said yes. When the bill came, much later, it showed pork shoulder tacos. They were great! But the service was ridiculously bad. I hope it improves, the menu looks awesome.

I am so torn about this place. The service is TERRIBLE. Last time I had lunch here my server forgot to bring a side I ordered, so I reminded him and he forgot again and proceeded to charge me for it, and when i told him to take it off the check he seemed annoyed and not apologetic at all. It wasn’t even busy. It is also very overpriced for what it is. Sure the food is good, sometimes, but not $ 16 for burger WITHOUTFRIES, like c’mon, its supposed to be a lunch special. they are over priced and cheap on portions.

Tough to rate but feel the 3.5 stars is accurate. It’s not bad but not sure about the value for the money. $ 16 for sliders and no fries or lettuce on the side seems much but can taste the quality of the food and am sure it’s all free range, organic… Yada Yada. The idea of a fried green tomato sounds good but the texture isn’t as cool as say fried pickles would be. It’s something that requires a knife and fork. The beer selection is very good and the ambiance is super chill. Now just to find an menu item to love or they make a special slider just for me with fried pickles.

Non existant or pretentious service. Overpriced food. Haphazard food safety practices. Stay away! Detailed to review to follow because I’m still in this nightmare.

Nice food. Came for breakfast and had the huevos estrellados. Casual setting. They have a nice selection of beer and wine. Service is slow. Make sure you order your 2nd cup of coffee halfway through the first one or you’ll be waiting a while.

Food is actually quite good but small portions. Don’t go hungry. On the other hand, no one knows what beers they have on tap, except for the manager, and the service is painfully slow. Order your food and ask for the check right away if you’re in a hurry.

Extremely overpriced for basically arepas. Staff not that friendly. Restaurant is very dark and they had the music on extremely loud and difficult to have a conversation. I didn’t think the food was anything special. Certainly it’s better than the blockbuster video store that was previously in that space, but that’s not saying much. I’m not going back.

Awesome food, fast, friendly service. Love the open kitchen and really enjoyed looking at the beautiful food they were putting out. Definitely recommend!

The look: rustic modern with that whole chalk art thing. Food: breakfast, breads, sandwiches, salads, baked goods. Most notably, a bunch of Venezuelan specialties. We got the arepa Pelua(stuffed with shredded beef and cheese) and it was a crunchy, savory, gooey delight! The tequenos with guava sauce also good — ordered two. Panther coffee served very hot. Pancakes were good but make sure to ask for syrup on the side — or they come soaked. The yogurt plate came with a healthy serving of berries and nutty granola — for $ 10 it better have been this hearty. Overall, really liked this place and may just make a point of visiting the Key just for this!

Great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We love the grilled salmon with spagetti string veggies, they have live music on friday nights. The ambiance is trendy & artsy

Oh. My. Goodness is all I have to say! Cute little spot on Key Biscayne with amazing food! You need to start off with the Artisan brunch toast, it has the greatest amount of saltiness/sweetness to it, so good! I ordered the brunch burger as my meal. Amazing!!! Who doesn’t love a fried egg with bacon on their burger! Yumminess

Come in for a quick pick up & lady at counter completely ignored us. Maybe she was busy I dunno… I Didn’t think much Of it since i wasnt in a hurry. We órdered food to go, but sad my salad had to be replaced since they added bacon(salad came with it so I get it) even though I asked lady if any meat & she said no. This is no biggie, as I vegan in used to orders not coming out right. Went back to replace it & nice guy helped me. I apologized too since I hate wasting time & food but he was great & told guy to give me a balsamic dressing too. I get to the car open up the salad just to check it out & first thing I saw were moldy raspberries… As a vegan I know berries get bad quickly, but it’s terrible no one check them before putting them on my salad. It’s not wilted lettuce or soggy stuff. It’s mold & it’s a health hazard. I picked them all out & just have say that I’m disappointed…$ 11 for an all veg /fruit salad not cheap & was so hungry. Husband’s sandwich was good, bread was a little hard but overall he liked it so 2 starts for his meal & the guy that helped me. Won’t be back

They forgot a dish that we ordered and the server said we ordered incorrectly. Was told a double espresso didn’t exist. Terrible aggressive service paired with over priced simple food. I will not return.

Our favorite neighborhood bistro. The food is well prepared with quality ingredients. The truffle fries, the burger, Pepito Salad and churrasco are some of our favorites but on Sunday mornings the breakfast is very good. The Huevos Rancheros or typical Venezuelan arepas with white cheese are delicious. The sitting configuration is not the best specially with larger groups but sit by the counter and watch the chefs cook.

Very nice original place, love the décor, makes you feel welcome and cozy! Great service! The food is really nice and tastes fresh, had the tuna taquitos and loved them, the skirt steak was delicious and the arepas are really nice! Also had a very nice cup of almond milk latte that was nicely brewed and a little nutella tart which was amazing just because of the detail on the dough which has a mix of nuts in it! Great place for any occasion!

My experience in this place is far below pathetic, let me begin: the Platters are over-priced for the quality and quantities serve. The main dish was way below average and the cherry on the top is the poor service. In this subject, I would like to stress that the staff is super rude and has no manners… I felt like they were doing me a favor for visiting their restaurant. The waiting staff are rude, like to argue with customers and instead of correcting the situation they made it worst… In short, horrible experience and they should fire the entire staff and re-hire humans, not animals.

Excelente restaurante !!!
