En route down to Marathon, wanted some local Keys grub and found this spot, tucked off the main roads from Unilocal.Almost 2 pm on a Friday, not many people in here. We sat out back on the patio, in the semi air conditioned space. We both ordered the hog fish tacos. We each got a side… we got coleslaw and fries. I tell you what… It was delicious. Two large tacos with some delicious sauce. The fries were incredibly hot(temperature), as they should be. Cole slaw was great. The view was awesome.

This place is one for the books! We sat outside by the water and I really enjoyed the energy, ambience and the Calypso music… #IslandVibes We would actually drive down from Miami just to eat there again.

This is in a great set back location, easy to miss! Sat outside both times and both times was eaten alive by mosquitos, some tiki torches or citronella candles at each table would atleast help. Food was good but pricy! Had a pretty good selection, some unique menu items. I went with the Mahi Ruben and it was good, others in my party were happy with their meals, burgers, chili and smoked fish dip. Service was prompt and friendly.

Coconut cake was amazing. Waitress was very pleasant. Will definitely come here again if we have a chance. Tip: to avoid the crowd, come here on Monday.

It was on the way on our drive through the Keys and we were not very impressed. We thought they were closed to the door being locked but it was just jammed. h=Had to call to double check then they opened the door for us. My hush puppies were really under cooked and when I told the waitress she didn’t apologized. We shared the chowder which was good but we didn’t finish our meals as it was«meeh.»

Although oysters Rockefeller were not on the lunch menu, our waitress had the chef prepare for me… outstanding! My wife’s oysters on the half shell were delicious and our fried seafood baskets amazing. Strawberry daqari was average, long island tea good. Key lime pie as reviewed, delicious. Parking limited and hard to find for first time visitors, but well worth adventure!

Best meal on key west after we had travelled from key west to key largo! Our family of 3 gave it 6 thumbs up! We had the shrimp scampi, baby back ribs and the hogfish Seminole — delicious! Everything is prepared with a light touch. Definitely worth the stop at this out of the way restaurant on a working marina. Every seating area had its own charm– although we had the best seat in the house as we had the table next to the end of the canal. Charming! The service was friendly and exceptionally attentive. Every person from the front desk(who has happy to move us to the prime waterfront table when it opened up a few minutes after we sat down), the server and young man clearing tables that night made our night enjoyable. It was nice to be away from the route 1 strip

Interesting décor. Loved the vintage atmosphere and was very neat and clean. Excellent stone oven pizza. The crust was crisp, yet tender. The toppings were tastey without a bunch of grease. I gave 4 stars for the pizza. I honestly was not a fan of the wings and I personally would not order them again. They were rather rubbery.(Sorry).

Drinks, food, and service was food!!! I can’t remember everything that we had but I remember everyone saying that they liked it! My friend had caprese sandwich and he had yellow tail added and he loves it, he hasn’t stopped raving about it!!! My husband had the chicken sandwich which he enjoyed!

After several failed attempts to find a stopping place for a late dinner in Key Largo before heading back to Miami, we thought we would be destined to dine at another chain restaurant near our hotel in Miami. Because of a stroke of Unilocal genius, I found Buzzard’s Roost online, so we quickly made a sharp turn into this small dark road. My family was instantly worried and wanted to turn around, because it was so deserted and sketch, but I wouldn’t be deterred by the 200+ reviews on Unilocal. Buzzard’s Roost Grill & Pub is a nice local spot right at the entrance(or exit) to the highway toward Miami. They close on Sunday at 9:30, and we rolled in around 8:55pm that night. You could tell the hostess was shocked to see us(and 3 other tables) coming in around the same time. There is a beautiful patio area in the back that was still pretty full of restaurant and bar patrons. We were seated inside the restaurant, which looked like your typical neighborhood bar. Our server was nice but a little slow… I feel like she was about to get off work and was having a busboy do all her delivery work. We ordered quickly so we could get our food quick, eat quick, and be back quick in Miami at a reasonable hour. I placed my order of the mahi mahi, sautéed in lemon butter per the recommendation of the server, with two crispy hush puppies and cole slaw on the side. The fish was just ok — I wish I had gotten it blackened like I initially planned on ordering. The hush puppies were perfectly crispy, but a little greasy. Ok, a lot greasy. The cole slaw was just that. Average, nothing special. My dad’s shrimp scampi was beautiful, though. The jumbo shrimp was succulent and buttery beautiful. I was definitely jealous. I was not jealous of my mom’s lobster bisque, as it was quite salty. My mom ended up mixing some of my dad’s scampi into her soup to soak up some of that over-seasoning. We wanted to order the key lime pie while in the Keys, but we had such a hard time getting the server. When we finally placed our order, we were very excited for our pie. Minutes passed as we saw other tables receiving their dessert orders and nothing coming our way. As our server finally reemerged, she was surprised to see that we still hadn’t gotten our pie — which was obviously already made, so there was no reason for it to take so long. She apologized profusely, stating that she thought the busboy had brought it out. Anyway, the key lime pie was pretty good. Tart, but not overly so. Presentation left something to be desired, but pie was a hit with my mom, who loves all things sweet and tasty. Overall, service left something to be desired, especially since there were only several tables filled near closing time. Food was pretty good, although I would have hoped for something more than just ordinary pub food, with the menu showcasing some high potential seafood options. Buzzard’s Roost Grill & Pub is pretty good, for sure, but not outstanding.

Decent food however be aware that anything fried has a kick to it, especially the shrimp. The screened in patio is very nice

This is what the keys are all about. Yummy fresh food, cute location, indoor/outdoor seating, and some calypso music in the background. They offer indoor air conditioned seating, outdoor patio seating with a full bar and TV’s. It was a Sunday when I went and they had a guys playing a steel drum of Calypso music. It was perfect. The potato skins are a must! Crispy goodness for your life. The bacon is legit. I ordered a burger since I am pregnant and was trying to stay away from seafood. The burger was fantastic! My husband had the recommended Lobster Ruben. A very interesting sandwich. I had a bite and am not sure I am a fan like others are but it is something to try. Service was nice, kinda took long to bring our food out but worth the wait for sure. We enjoyed the atmosphere and each others company. Great spot for any meal.

We stopped here on the way to key west. The place was really crowded and that maybe increased our expectation. We ordered conch fritters, jalapeño poppers, buzzard special catch of the day sandwich, vegetable platter and chicken quesadilla. The place has a very rustic look and the menu has a tilt towards seafood. I could imagine me sitting outside by the water in the evening. But it was too hot for us to do that on this lunch visit. I would certainly come here again for the jalapeño poppers, conch fritters and the buzzard special catch of the day sandwich on the bread! Those were the favorites of what we ate today. The rest of the food was pretty average. They put grapes in the quesadilla which is not appreciated much by me ! Overall I would rate as — Ambience — 4⁄5 Food taste — 3⁄5(conch fritters for sure and the jalapeño poppers) Presentation — 3.5÷5 Food quantity — 4.5÷5 Service — 4⁄5 Price — 4⁄5 Recommended dish — Conch fritters, jalapeño poppers and buzzard special catch of the day sandwich. Go there to have good time even if the food is not exceptional :)

Delicious Sunday brunch and amazing service(ask for Melissa– she’s great). Everything we ordered was on point((Corn Fritters, Eggs Oscar, Huevos Rancheros, quesadillas, Higher Ground omelette)) …And the Bloody Mary’s were delicious! Definitely recommend this place for Brunch– and they have live music on Sunday’s too! And for dessert you MUSTTRY the Coconut Cake. Best dessert I think I’ve ever had…

I was pleasantly surprised by this place! It doesn’t look like much from the outside but the seating, service and food are all outstanding. Must tries: crab stuff potato skins, conch chowder and(drum roll) their coconut cake. Now, I am not a fan of coconut ATALL but that cake was heavenly. I could have eaten it all day! Their key lime(tangy) pie isn’t bad either, but the coconut cake steals the show.

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way down to Tavernier(from Orlando). We were ravenous… And we left stuffed and more than satisfied. We ordered Pinot Grigio and Piña Coladas(both delicious) to drink, and the ceviche, conch fritters and bacon-wrapped scallops to eat. The food was fresh and delicious. I couldn’t believe the size of the ceviche appetizer! I ate about a quarter of it and took the rest home for a midnight snack. The servers were friendly, fast and helpful. Our beverages were never empty. And the ambiance was absolutely perfect. You can enjoy water views anywhere you sit. We opted to sit on the deck, where we could check out the boats and watch the neighbor feed her pet iguanas. Pretty cool. We’ll be back!

Oh man oh man! So delicious! And gorgeous view! We stopped by for lunch and both had the fresh catch of the day fish sandwich. The server sold me on it when he said it’s like a grilled cheese, only better. So fresh, and the homemade chips are yummy.
