Terrible slow service. Rude waitresses. They act like they are doing you a favor. Would Never return !!

Worst service ever! The waitress with the long brown hair has so much attitude, it’s obvious she is burnt out on people. If you want to feel invisible, and a huge inconvenience, this is the place for you! We will never go back!

Laid back restaurant by the water, reasonnable prices, perfect for a lunch w/a bier or key lime pie. Grilled Mahi for 9.99 with a side, two bucks more with coconut onion rings.

We had the onion rings, mahi mahi, seared tuna, coconut shrimp, and the smoked fish dip… All wonderful. The restaurant is on a canal and while no ocean views we enjoyed sitting outside. It’s also just off the beaten path so quiet and calm. Great choice for families as well, just beware the fire ants!

Good things don’t always come in pretty packages! Coconut onion rings are good. Our waitress was awesome and handled 17 of us. Food came out relatively fast for the amount of people we had.

Wow, just wow. The best food we have had the entire trip. Wish we has come here sooner. We definitely would have been back time and time again. The coconut shrimp and coconut onion rings are just what everyone said they are. A MUST. The New England clam chowder was great too. We used the Thai sauce on Everything.

Wake up your senses and dine outside! Breezy Day! Friendly hostesses and the most freshest food! All this as the boats come and go in the canal waterfront!

What a great place! So glad that the dive shop recommended. A great locals place where you can see all types, be yourself, not spend a lot for some great food and drink. Friendly staff with a fun divey atmosphere… dollars from vistors haning everywere. The seafood was fresh and delishious, on our trip we actually went here two time and we were only there for the weekend. The coconut onion rings are a must with a great sauce, the mahi mahi was great(had bites of my husbands dish the stuffed mahi mahi which was delicous with the sauce and the crab cake underneath). The seared tuna was great, and the mahi mahi sandwich was also tasty and their sweet potato fries were cooked perfect. I also had a taste of blackened scallops where were cooked perfect. For drinks the beers were cheap and the coconut rum punch was a winner. Also a great HH for Appetizers on Mon-Thurs and peel and eat shrimp every day(which were great). Definitely come to this off the main street location(or maybe the locals are screaming at me right now), but if I am back in the area I will definitely be back!

I dig the place, here’s why: * Non-corporate * Small and cozy * Hottie Bartenders! * OUTSTANDING Prime Rib Special! * OUTSTANDING All-You-Can-Eat Mahi Special! * Cheap Draft Beers served COLD! * Indoor and outdoor seating! * I contributed to the décor * Chock full of Keys characters * Very Inexpensive! Many thanks to the English Gardener for the intro. Specials are on certain nights. See you there! Cabeza OUT!

This is my second visit to Shipwreck and I am as pleased as On the first one. Last time I had the coconut shrimp and the mahi strips, so fresh… very good. Then today I actually came with the family for their«all you can eat fish»($ 15.99) and wow. I had wanted to do it for a while and today I finally had the chance. You can get your fish fried, grilled or blackened, which was my favorite. My dad, who has a big appetite only got one order, they are normally big. Then my bf and I had two orders each, we are hungry people. I paired my fish with a tasty potato salad but I also tried the coleslaw and the steak fries. The best was the potato salad, the fries were a little on the bland side. But trust me, with all that fresh yummy fish you wont really mind. The Service is ok because is not consistent; it depends on who is taking care of you. Of the four waiters that went to my table two of them were very welcoming and all the time smiling, one was just serious and the other one was a little bossy and not as kind; but well, I can live with that. Overall, so happy with this visit. My belly is telling me to go to bed and sleep like a baby. Oh and very reasonable prices as well. 4 cokes, 3 orders of «all you can eat fish», and an order of fried shrimp for $ 73(tip not included). Works for me!

This spot is very divey but does the job. The food is cheap is tasty. The only thing I wanted was the conch fritters. I’ve been craving them since I left Key West several years ago! I ordered them and they were different than what I remembered. Maybe it was just this place. I don’t know but I still enjoyed this restaurant. I ordered the seafood combo, all grilled. My favorite was the scallops. I loved the mayo based sauce. Awesome. I would come back here and probably order the fritters again.

Stopped here on way back from Key West. Very«casual» dining experience but food very good. We had crab cake sandwhich and conch fritters. Both very good. Service was a little slow but it was happy hour and place was kind of full. Also middle of week and might have been unexpectedly understaffed. All ended well. As side note, wife left cell phone in bathroom and staff recovered it an

What an interesting place. Has a keys feel, with an infusion of biker. Not that it’s blatantly a biker bar, not even close. But there is a thread of rebel or biker coursing through the joint. It’s a bit off the beaten path, which is actually part of its charm. There isn’t a ton of parking, which is okay, because there isn’t a ton of seating. The outdoor area is nice, facing a residential canal. Oddly, the bathrooms are outside the front door. The liquor license is only for beer and wine but they offer mixed drinks on the menu(wine based). It was raining so we had little choice but to sit inside as the outdoor area under the tiki hut was full. The beers on tap offer a nice cross-section and there is a good selection in the bottle. We started with a few beers some power aid for the kids and a few appetizers, the coconut battered onion rings, the jalapeño poppers and. Peel and eat shrimp. The hype Israel, the jalapeño poppers and then coconut onion rings are absolutely amazing. For lunch we ordered the seafood platter and fried fried my sandwich the crabcakes and some chicken tenders. The crabcakes were the best part of the entrées everything else was okay. Overall a decent meal albeit a bit pricey for bar fare. We will definitely go back for the jalapeño poppers, the crabcakes in the coconut onion rings.

mmmm mmmm doggies! Now this is what«The Keys» is supposed to be!!! Service was FAST and the beer was COLD. They also now feature a FULL liquor bar, I think before they only served beer and wine. There’s plenty of parking and even covered motorcycle parking(think little motorcycle stalls) a first for me, should’ve gotten a pix of that for you guys #sorry. It’s located right on the water, with inside and outside seating #perfect. As for the outside, you have 2 options covered or not covered, but both are right on the water! The menu tantalizes your taste buds with their famous(as I learned) coconut crusted onion rings. This must’ve been a kitchen mistake on the batter b/c it’s extremely reminiscent of coconut covered shrimp, but extremely GOOD. It’s served with a Thai Chili Sauce that puts it over the top, definitely order these as an appetizer or with your meal(see pix). The little one was the only one that knew what she wanted, a burger with lots of ketchup. We placed her order first as she was«hungry» and went back to pursing the menu. Her burger came out and I swear it was an adult burger, it was massive, and she loved it… ate the whole thing right up! Us adults decided on 3 Mahi Mahi sandwiches with 3 different sides so we could all taste something different. The Mahi Reuben was the clear winner for us it was delicious. My only suggestion is maybe ask for the dressings or mayo on the side as when it came out it was covered in dressing, we actually used napkins to remove some of the sauce as it was just too much. The sides are bountiful and definitely can be shared.(see pix) Can’t wait for a return visit!

After spending the afternoon scuba-diving in Key Largo we were all starving! The group discussed several tourist traps we had been previously to when the owner of the dive shop recommended Shipwreck’s. A quick check on Unilocal and I was sold. Although we were warned to sit inside the screened in patio we sat outside along the water. Plus there was already a large table there for our group of 11 so it was perfect. Once the sun set and we were waiting for the check the bugs came out and we ran inside to the bar for the check lol… yes we should have taken the advice and sat inside! We were also warned ahead of time that food can take awhile to come out… but I didn’t find this to be the case and was pleased at the service we received. Keep in mind that they don’t have a full liquor bar, however they have 10+ beers on tap and quite a few wines by the glass. Steven started off with a ShockTop and I had a glass of Pinot Noir. Our server also brought out a pitcher of water so we could handle the refills ourselves. Since we were recommended to get the coconut onion rings we started out with those and were very pleased. We also got the Thai Mahi Mahi fingers and loved them. I only wish they had a different dipping sauce other than the standard thai chili sauce from the bottle, perhaps something made in-house that was unique to each fried option. For entrees Steven and I both ordered the hog-fish as it’s our favorite fish and was a special of the day. I prefer if we don’t get the same thing so we can share and try lots of different things, but we couldn’t turn down hog-fish lol. He had steak fries and I had coleslaw. Coleslaw was nice and sweet just how I like it. The entrees also included a side salad and we both ordered a house salad with a mango vinaigrette! I loved the salad dressing and the salad itself was nice and crisp. You can bet we’ll be back here because: 1) It’s on the water! 2) It’s cheap! 3) The menu is quite comprehensive and has a lot of good things!

After a morning of snorkeling we were looking for somewhere to get lunch on our way back to the Florida mainland and Shipwreck’s came highly recommended. We arrived around noon on a Saturday. Parking is a little bit of a state of confusion, but it wasn’t hard to find/make a spot. From the outside Shipwreck’s kind of looks it’s name, and at first we weren’t even sure we had the right place, but when we walked in we were immediately greeted and told we could pick a seat. There was bar seating as well as tables inside the restaurant, but we proceeded outside to the screened in porch area and took a seat there. There were also tables on the dock, but the screened in areas was shielded from the sun and had fans circulating cool air so we chose that. We started out with drinks, I had a coconut beer they had on draft and thought it was unique and yummy. We also went with the coconut onion ring appetizer. These were served with a sweet chili dipping sauce and they were great. The outside coconut breading was cooked perfectly. For an entrée I went with the seafood combo which included shrimp, scallops, and mahi. You could chose fried grilled or blackened, and I went with grilled. The shrimp were large and had great flavor. These scallops were of the smaller variety, so not my favorite type of scallop, but still good, and the mahi was well seasoned. With the entrée came a choice of side and I went with pasta salad. I liked it a lot and it tasted house made. I also had a bite of the crab cakes and enjoyed those. Overall everyone was happy with their food, the atmosphere was fun and beachy, and the waitress was attentive and kept our drinks replenished. Even though we were full we were talked into the key lime pie as well. It had a nice texture and bite of tartness, though I really don’t consider myself a key lime pie expert… but we were in the keys. Prices were extremely reasonable and four of us after appetizers, entrees, desserts, and numerous drinks, only spent about $ 100, really not bad when you consider how touristy this area can be.
