Not bad. Funky keys laid-back style. Tried conk fritters. Were fair to good. Warning. They do mean it that they close at 2pm. And cash/checks only.

This hole-in-the-wall, triple-wide trailer, breakfast joint has some of the best early morning grub around. Doesn’t look like much from the dirt road it’s located on, but once you taste the food you’ll know why you came. Get the redneck with scrambled eggs and sausage patties and DEFINITELYGETTHEHASHBROWNCASSEROLE. It’s «well worth the up-charge» they say.

The absolute best eggs I’ve had in awhile. Great local joint. Hard to find, but worth it. Generally not the insane lines like some other local breakfast spots. The staff is very friendly. The absolute BEST restaurant on Largo Sound(ok, it’s the only one, but it’s still great)

Dive bar atmosphere. Definitely get the laid back feeling of being in the keys. Really liked this place. Food was good and so was the service. I ate the 2 hot cakes and 2 eggs. You eat well at a good cost.

This morning before heading to West Palm Beach. Awesome out-of-the-way little hockey talk breakfast spot on the water. Was perfect. Large portions and everything was excellent. Service was awesome, deafly would come back again.

The ambience is very eclectic and divey! That part is excellent. The view is fantastic. After a little drive down a small dirt road, you’ll find the Hideout. This place is situated right at the water front and the weather was perfect for our visit. After being seated by the friendly hostess outside, we sat with a few other patrons and their dogs.(Love dog friendly businesses). The server was also very friendly and made us both very comfortable. We came for breakfast, and the breakfast menu is full of typical breakfast items. I chose to go with the lunch menu instead because I was definitely in the mood for seafood. My wife was too and we both ordered the Blackened Fish sandwich. The fish was grouper, which is fresh and local. The flavor was amazing! No special sauce, ingredients or artificial anything. Overall, the service is excellent, the food is amazing and the ambience is worth the stop! I would totally come back here!

Saw a local ad and reviews on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. We arrived after 10am on a Sunday. It was busy but we were able to sit right down. The service was great. Quick and attentive. Portions were large, prices reasonable. Restaurant is located off of US1 North but make sure to watch for the sign or you’ll miss their street.

Great food, but it feels like you’re in your grandma’s tacky trailer, which is fun but slightly grimy.

They don’t take credit/debit so be sure to bring cash or get charged a huge fee at the ATM on site. I didn’t even bother trying to order over medium eggs because no one can get them right, I was correct on doing so because my friend ordered over medium and got over easy. My scrambled eggs were fine. Real sausage! Very tasty too, not the standard frozen stuff from GFS or sysco. I also had biscuits and gravy and they had that tasty real sausage in the gravy as well! This is a great breakfast place and they open at 6 am which is nice for an early riser like myself! I think I found my go to breakfast place in Key Largo, can’t wait to try some more menu items.

Horrible service, crab cake was gross, disgusting bathroom, they only take cash or checks, just really weird. Waitresses more concerned with smoking and counting their tips than anything. Just don’t.

Wow. We stopped for breakfast. Amazing biscuits and homemade gravy. I had a proper BLT filled with 6 strips of crispy thick bacon resting between soft whit bread. They even had ruffled potato chips. This is definitely a hidden shack with friendly service. This not a foodie snooty spot, just great breakfast fast!

We came for breakfast. This place is a nice little place that feels like you’re at a little noncommercial diner that the locals usually go to. I got the steak and eggs with a side of grits. The steak was awesome, grits were a little bland, and the eggs we’re just as good as I’d expect rambled eggs to be. There are a bunch of little funny signs hanging around, indicating the owners have a good sense of humor, and there is a lot of dogs centric signage and some water bowls & food bowls around indicating that this is a friendly place for dogs. Lastly, the service was super friendly and really attentive especially on the coffee. The toast tasted a little off, but that was really the only thing I could find off the whole experience. I will be visiting here again the next time I’m in town.

I saw pictures of breakfast posted on Unilocal and they all look delicious. I decided to give it a try myself. I have to say the food was as good as it looked in the photos, delicious! The staff was very friendly and even offered me a to go cup for my coffee that I didn’t finish. The price was also nice. I did not know that they did not take credit cards until after I ate but they do have an ATM machine with a $ 2.50 fee.

12⁄13 — After running the Islamorada 10K, we were looking for a breakfast place. It is on a side street off the main highway. They have many menu items and at a reasonable price. My sister and I were starving so we ordered 2 scrambled eggs, bacon, home style fries with onion and a side of rye toast for me, my sister ordered the biscuit. The plates came rather quickly which was perfect! The eggs were a bit greasy but well done, the fries tasted great but the bacon was the winner here. Thick, crunchy, not greasy pieces of bacon. I could of ordered more. As I was finishing my breakfast, I noticed a hair(see pic) and I just didn’t eat any more. My sister ended up ordering another biscuit, it was so buttery and it was toasted. I should of ordered one to go. I gave it a one star because of the hair on my food. I can’t get over that.

We came for breakfast, and we weren’t disappointed. I grew up going to the keys my entire life. I can see why tourists may be put off by the kitschy décor, and overall feel of the restaurant, but that’s part of it’s flair. It’s an authentic local keys restaurant, and that’s what makes it charming. We came in at 10:30 on a Sunday morning. We were a party of six, and were sat immediately. We were greeted right away, ordered, and got our drinks immediately. Our breakfast came out promptly, and HOT. The hash brown casserole is a MUST. Delicious! I enjoyed my omelet, and are every bite. My kids loved their eggs and pancakes. Some may say it’s hard to mess up breakfast, but it actually isn’t. Eggs get cold right away, so in a large party, my expectations for a hot breakfast are usually pretty low. In addition, the service was relaxed, but efficient. I go the Key Largo often, and I’m already planning my next visit to Hideout. I’ve never been for lunch or dinner, but the breakfast was good, and I will definitely go back.

Aptly named, this is a hideaway location, well off the beaten path and right next to the water. The wait staff were friendly and enthusiastic. We had the Key Largo Fish Sandwich. Very tasty and filling. The home made sweet tea, with lime was delicious. I would recommend them for a great, fast lunch.

I want to be nice so let’s start with the staff. They are very nice and friendly. And that’s about it. The place is run down, food overpriced. Hints, if you get the home fries they look raw, the toasts are over buttered. I decided on it because they called it a hidden gem. Well, it’s not. Did I mentioned the food was expensive? Very overpriced! And they only accept cash or checks, no ATM. No credit cards.

This must be a local must love… The place has really cute signs, which play into the character of the place. Other than that, there really is not anything spectacular about this place. The food was not bad but it also was not good. I got scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. Bacon was fine and cooked to perfection. Home fries were probably fried on high heat which made them crispy on the outside but they came out dry/half not cooked in the middle. The eggs were the most disappointing. It was very rubbery. Typical jelly’s were on the table for toast. This place takes cash or personal check. There is an ATM on site. Waitress did her job well. I can see how she could come off as mean/rude but I found her dry humor(whether intentional or not) was comical. Overall, I would not recommend going out of your way for the food here.
