This restaurant has closed, unfortunately, it was quite good. Don’t know why it met its demise, rent probably.

If I can give this place –5 stars then I would… I went on Monday craving for a Philly Cheesesteak. I figured the bread will be fresh since it’s Monday… WRONG. Took a bite out of my cheesesteak, turned it over, and what do I see you ask… A nice big piece of MOLD, yes folks MOLD!!! Neva have I seen MOLD that size on any bread, much less in a restaurant. Let’s say I’ll NEVA step foot in that place again.

Was just charged $ 8.99 for a wrap. $ 2.99 to add bacon and $ 3.99 to switch it up to sweet potato fries. So I just paid $ 16 for a wrap I could of gotten at subway for half that price. It was good but not that good. And barely got any fries. They took a while to serve our food. I don’t know why because there was only 2 tables being served. Food was ok. Most likely not coming here again.

This place has really gone downhill since the new owners took over. I used to eat here all the time and the food and service were great but today I was extremely disappointed. The new owners took over about a month ago so I expected some disorganization but this is ridiculous. I placed a to-go order and everything I ordered was wrong, expect for the fries but that’s pretty hard to screw up. I ordered a chicken philly with just cheese and mayo. Instead, I got a regular cheesesteak loaded with mushrooms and onions, and no mayo. The meat was dry and I had to pick off all those slimy mushrooms. My girlfriend ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with ranch instead of blue cheese. When they handed me the bill I realized they had made her a sub instead of a wrap. They made her a new one very quickly, I paid and left. When we got our food home and she opened her sandwich, it was just fried chicken, no buffalo sauce and no ranch but plenty of old lettuce. The owners took a couple bucks off the bill but the prices were 2 – 3 dollars higher than they are on their online menu. Needless to say, we were EXTREMELY disappointed and will not be returning to Philly Keys. The owners were very nice but that doesn’t change to fact that our entire order was wrong. Our bill was $ 30 for two sandwiches and some fries, we could have eaten at one of the nice restaurants for that price. I have a feeling they will not be in business for very long.

Not sure if the other reviewers have ever been to Philly for a cheesesteak but my guess is that they have not. The service was slow and disorganized even though there was only two tables occupied. The cheesesteaks barely had my meat on them and the meat was the same you would find in the local supermarket frozen food case and the final insult was mozzarella cheese. If you are looking for a good sub I would pass this place by

A tasty and quick sandwich stop on the way to/from the lower Keys. We had cheesesteaks and an eggplant parm hoagie; all were great. Service is friendly and you can’t beat the price. We’ll stop back on another trip.

Chicken parm wrap was delicious. The sandwich form is a little lacking however, could probably use more sauce. overall, good food for a good price, and right next to our hotel

Don’t be put off by the simple setting of This restaurant; The food is phenomenal. My husband and I stopped in for a quick breakfast and found far more than we’d expected. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and was pleasantly surprised. This place fresh makes and bakes their biscuits everyday. Service was great. You can tell this place is locally owned and the owner had a passion for his business. Would definitely go again!

I live in Philadelphia and have had many delicious cheesesteaks. While on vacation in Key Largo I was so happy to find this gem! They deliver too which is a plus and the prices are very reasonable. I had the original cheesesteak and i thought it was delicious!

This is a super restaurant. My husband I spent a few days in Key Largo and I believe we went back three times. Being from Philly I must say the Philly Cheese Steak is a 5. Don’t miss out and give it a try. The hosts are amazing and full of positive energy and love cooking and it shows.

I am rating this place a 3, but the individual meals we had varied A LOT in quality. For a Philly cheese-steak, this place is great, and the cheese steak was surprisingly authentic. The steak was cooked just right and the mozzarella cheese was mixed in perfectly. The only problem was it was a little skimpy on the meat(though it was only $ 5 for a 6-inch). I’d give it a 4 overall. My husband and his sister both had the«Key Largo» sandwich which was described as chopped mahi with a mango mojo sauce. Expecting chunks of fish with a citrus-garlic sauce with a hint of mango, we were unpleasantly surprised by what arrived: the fish was chopped so finely that you couldn’t find a chunk larger than a pencil eraser, and it was mixed in with what could only be described as mango preserves — it tasted like jam with chunks of mango. The sauce was so sweet, it would be more appropriate on breakfast toast or served as dessert. The fish was chopped so small and mixed in with such a huge amount of this sauce that it was impossible to scrape any of the sauce off. We all agreed that this should have rating of a 1. The service was good, and our only other complaint is that the place has a STRONG smell of frying oil, which is rather unpleasant to me.

I had the pleasure of finding Philly Keys yesterday. I say pleasure, because it was unexpected to find an authentic Philly cheese steak as far south as the Florida Keys. It was recommended to me by the guy who works at the cigar store next door. Anytime someone who has a daily choice as to whether or not to eat there recommends it, I’ll take them up on it. The owners are both serving and cooking. They do both with excellence. I first went with the tried and true cheese steak. The thing about the cheese steak is that when done well, it’s a great sandwich. When done badly, it’s not at all something you would want to pay money to eat. What makes or breaks a cheese steak is primarily the bread. It should be thick, soft and tear easily as you enjoy your first bite. It was late in the afternoon when I walked in, and frankly my expectations were not high. It’s hard to keep your bread fresh that late in the day. The cheese steak arrived garnished with a dill pickle spear. I was surprised to find it toasted. My first thought was that this might be toasted to hide the fact it was going to be stale bread. My taste buds rejoiced as the first bite was experienced; it was fresh bread. Mmmm, joy and bliss of the cheese, steak and fresh bread mingling in my mouth. I had ordered the 6 inch even though 12 was available. I didn’t want to go all in without knowing what I was getting into. I know I’m in the Keys here and it may seem to some to be heretical to not be enjoying seafood while this far south.(I don’t like fish). The guy who recommended this place told me about the mahi mahi and mango sandwich. I didn’t want to have traveled all the way down here and not taste something«local». So with some fear of fishy taste and texture awaiting me, I asked the owner about this particular sandwhich. He confessed he too enjoyed seafood, but disliked fish. That being said he admitted he had to try at his restaurant served it and he found it quite tasty. I took the plunge and ordered a 6 incher. It was delicious! I recommend trying it if you are in the mood for something different. Sandwiches ran roughly $ 5 for a 6 inch and $ 9 for a 12 inch. Décor is kitschy; which I expected. The appears to be between Caribbean with a slight flavor of Philly. The food was great, the service was great. 4.5 stars.
