We stayed across street at the RV resort and walked over there for dinner. The food lived up to all of the reviews and my whole tail yellow snapper was a masterpiece!

Overrated. Not the best key lime pie, and the food was way too rich and heavy for our liking. Service was good, and ambience endearing.

I stopped in for one thing, and it lived up to my expectations. I had the best key lime pie I’ve ever had. Drove down during a weekend in Fort Lauderdale. It was worth the drive.

This was our first stop driving into the Keys. We were still full from lunch but wanted to try a slice of their Key Lime Pie. We were going to split it among the 4 of us but the server said that he’ll just bring 2 slices cause he guarantees we’ll order another one. The lime was light and a little tangy and it had a nice graham cracker crust. It was delicious and the server was right that 1 slice would not be enough. They have an interesting décor of license plates all around.

Coconut waffle special was tasty, and it came with a nice pour of champagne… family of 4 ate breakfast for only $ 40(this also included a Bloody Mac Mary enjoyed by my hubby) :-) fun little place to stop in Key Largo.

So as you walk into Mrs. Macs kitchen you see a beautiful jellyfish chandelier and quaint ocean décor. It definitely has the FL keys vibe going on. We sat down and ordered many items since we were a group of 6. The best dishes were the hogfish with lemon butter, the Mac and cheese, and the fried dolphin fingers that came with key lime tarter sauce. All of our food was delicious except the key lime freeze I didn’t really like the flavor and I love key lime. I recommend this place to eat if you’re in the area. Good service and food!

Mrs. Mac’s Kitchen,(the original restaurant), is super charming, with inside and outside seating, and plenty of parking. it is an old restaurant, which has been around since the 70’s. they have 50’s stools at the counter, and the tables are in the front and wind around the back of the counter. their menu and specials are loaded with seafood, from coconut shrimp, crab cakes and fish filet sandwiches. i loved the fish Ruben sandwich. wow! and their fish filet is huge. this joint is decorated with license plates. even the lamps are made of the plates. they are famous for their lime freeze, which is free if you check in with Unilocal.so if you are in Key Largo, you know where to go!!!

Super Breakfast! Kitschy atmosphere with license plates and dollar bills on the ceiling! We split the Mac Attack! It was plenty of food for 2! The sausage links were the highlight! Customize your own perfect omelet or just order from the hens house! Perfectly priced and wonderful! Service was spot on! If you were so inclined, bloody Mary’s and mimosas on hand!

5 stars for this diner off the main road. Welcoming staff, wide selection of seafood/meat/fresh/fried dishes, vegetarian burger was very tasty, atmosphere friendly and eclectic, and efficient service. The place was busy at 3:00 on a Saturday but we were seated right away. The whole time we were sitting here I was oogling all the other plates being served too. Crab cakes were lightly smokily delicious and all the fried seafood was noticeably fresh. Their house made hot sauce was a nice addition to it all, even the fresh and crunchy coleslaw side! If I had to point out one thing it’s that the fries were not the best, but still fine.

Great lunch spot on the drive down to Key West. Service was warm and welcoming. I went with the fried shrimp and fish basket and the wife went with the crab cake platter. Both were excellent. Prices were reasonable. The location is right off of Route 1 but if you miss it you need to go out of your way to get back. Overall I would stop here any time I’m headed down that way.

Yum! Great welcome to the Florida Keys. Stopped here after fighting traffic to enter the keys and were pleased with our lunch and the friendly service. It just one of those great seafood restaurants that has a great variety and great key lime pie for dessert. Had our first Stone Crab Claws of the season here and were not disappointed. The seafood soup and other items were also very good. Has all the attributes that makes the keys a special place to be. Wouldn’t change a thing about this place!

OMG this place hit the spot and hard. I went there for the first time today during my lunch and I am definitely going back. I ordered the turkey veggie pita and the key lime freeze and WOW! I was mind blown. The freeze is simply amazing and the pita was delicious. Just what I needed. The key lime freeze reminded me of my childhood years, it was that good! So happy I made it there :)

On our way back to Miami from spending the day in they keys I was on the search for some authentic key lime pie. I picked this up and got it to-go. The service was pleasant and fast. The key lime did not disappoint.

Charming place. Friendly service. Meh food — at least the bit of food we tried. My company and I weren’t terribly hungry when we got here, but because we had read rave reviews of this place and its key lime pie, we had to stop in. We got to things to munch on: — Onion Rings — they were on the oily side — Key Lime Pie — it somehow didn’t taste the freshest compared to other key lime pies we had the same day. It kind of just tasted of cold. And the whipped cream on it didn’t do anything for the pie, but maybe I just prefer the meringue/key lime combo instead of whipped cream. Maybe we needed to try the other foods, but this place unfortunately didn’t live up to all the hype that Unilocal and other sites mentioned. Maybe I missed something…

We stayed near here and came in for dinner one night. It was fresh and yummy but best of all was the service! Abigail was a warm and attentive server who did not miss a beat. I ordered a big salad for dinner and it had spinach, romaine and arugula. Really impressed with the size of that salad… I couldn’t even finish it and I’m pretty much known for taking on the biggest of the big salads of the world. The«catch of the day» was mahi-mahi. Tons of flavor and super fresh. Fish on a bun got a thumbs up. My daughters favorite was the Key Lime Freeze. Basically a lime milkshake. We also tried their key lime pie and gave it a 7 out of 10. We noticed other diners at a nearby table ordered whole fried fish with their heads and tails dramatically still intact. My dining companion had a moment of panic wondering if that was the catch of the day! Atmosphere is lively with dollar bills lining the ceiling and license plates lining the walls. Expect to wait for a table. We waited about 15 minutes on a Saturday night.

We were in town for two days, and if Mrs Mac’s had been open on Sunday, we probably would have gone 4 times. We only went twice, and so will need to go back. Cute environment, great food, amazing key lime pie. We just loved everything about this place. Breakfast: crab cake Benedict! Dinner: coconut shrimp!!! Dessert: key lime pie!

We stopped here last night for a late dinner after traveling for almost 15 hours from the west coast. We saw that reviews were mixed but overall it seemed like a good spot. I think everyone that gives this place a bad review is crazy! The service was spectacular — friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was wonderful as well. We had the seafood platter and the alligator bites. Everything had good flavor and was cooked well. I would give this place 4.5 stars and I thought it was great but it didn’t quite reach my impeccable and absolutely perfect 5 star requirements. Oh and the key lime pie was good, nothing overly exciting. It wasn’t tangy enough for my liking. Can’t get too excited about cool whip.

Stopped by this quint little place off of highway 1 on our trip to the Keys. The walls are covered with license plate from all over the country. The service is pretty prompt. We got the key lime freeze to try, it is awesome! So light and delicious. 3 main dishes — all fish — we got mahi mahi cooked three different ways. Two of them, the fish was over cooked, kind of chicken like. One of them was cooked perfectly. The sides were all good. The conch chowder is actually pretty good, a little«seafoody«but good.

Wir kommen bestimmt wieder her. Auch hat man hier keine Probleme einen Parkplatz zu finden, wie man sieht alles sehr gut :-)

I was a bit worried when we walked in and there was no where to sit, it was a popular spot for being late afternoon. No fear there is additional seating in a back room. Our server was very nice and prompt with our drinks. I love the giant glass my iced tea came in! My husband and I were ravenous after a day of diving. He got a chili burger and I got a cheese steak. Both were very good and portions were huge! His burger was massive and the chili was good with the perfect amount of zip on it. My cheese steak was seasoned well and certainly hit the spot! This is a fun location with license plates all over the walls. All the servers were very friendly and prompt. We were too full for some of their famous key lime pie on the spot but we took a slice to go and it was delicious! Just the right amount of tartness, wonderful crust, and their pie was so light and airy I just loved it! I absolutely would not hesitate to come back here again and probably will the next time I’m in the area!

Erstklassiger amerikanischer Laden, in dem man sich so richtig in den USA fühlt. Sehr leckeres Essen zu guten Preisen. Wir waren in Mrs. Macs Kitchen No. II zum Dinner und in No. I zum Frühstück. Beides empfehlenswert.
