Cheese on a hot dog? After my $ 10 dog I unfortunately can’t recommend this place. Keep walking down the road…

Pretty sure we got hustled by Pete. We were drawn in by the wonderful smells, but so disappointed in the end. Know what you want before you walk up; or he will add cheese and bacon and other extras without asking — and then upcharge you. I do NOT recommend Petes meat. Angelinas is much better. Friendly. And won’t make you feel sick… So you can keep partying all night long. Or go home without a tummy ache.whatever. but seriously, Pass on Pete’s meat.

Awesome hot dogs whether you need a late night snack or afternoon snack. They are a little pricey, but worth it.

So, this was our first meal in Key West and I’m not too afraid to admit that. Basically, after walking down Duvall street for a little bit and running on empty since lunch a time zone prior anything looked good but there was a little too much, and the first thing we did was go drink anyway. After that, why not just split some street meat? Pete’s had the fanciest looking cart-all the other ones look like the dingy carts you see all over NYC and he was pretty friendly. We looked at the menu and ordered the Italian sausage and he offered us an alternative to the regular style one served with onions and peppers ‘like everyone else.’ He was going to spice it up with marinara, basil and fresh mozzarella. Once he got us hooked on it, he mentioned it was a dollar more; paying 10 bucks for a sausage is a little much but being kind of duped into it definitely put it a little over the top. The sausage, however, was good and the mozz was fresh. Pete himself smoothed things over by telling us that he’d give us one on the house when we came by later. We never took him up on it though because we were fast asleep not too soon after being filled with his meats.

The one and only review that this place has must be from a vegetarian or a dumbass. The employe was not only helpful but accommodating. He told us the specials and then let my loud ass spout off some questions about special made to order options. He was not only accommodating but glad to help me out. They had specials with maple bacon and some with peanut butter and jelly ! He has not only all condiments but a special sauce ! If I lived here I would be a regular! You have to go !!! Trust the sconnie sausage queen ! This place is way better then the pizza place across the street.
