We stayed at the Casa Marina which was just a short walk away from the Strip House. I have dined here before, but this time it seemed like there was a more limited menu. Still with some great items, but would have liked to see more of a seafood selection. I realize it is a steak house but most do usually have more than just one fish option. Our waiter was attentive but not smothering.

Pedestrian food at sky-high prices, with service so bad, it makes you wonder if the staff is on strike. Yes, the view from the patio is good. But the view isn’t good enough to make up for never being asked what you want to drink, or never having your drink refilled, or waiting forever to place your meal order, or waiting forever for the check after the meal is over. The steak – what this place is supposedly known for – was over-salted. It was the only flavor you could taste. The whipped mashed potatoes were cold. The macaroni and cheese had shallots in it. Shallots. In macaroni and cheese. This ingredient was not listed on the menu and initially, the waiter denied they were part of the dish even though they were clearly visible and their flavor completely overwhelmed everything else. Bottom line, this is someplace to avoid on your next trip to the Keys. Better food can be found in a vending machine.

The view is amazing, right on the beach! The mushroom bucatini were perfectly cooked, the grouper and cream spinach were fantastic. Perfect for a romantic dinner, a must try!

Great Food. but the Service was terrible. There were problems with our bill and the manager was not a help at all. She tried to bill our group for extra food… l

We’ve dined here primarily because it was the restaurant at the hotel we were staying at. We loved hanging out on the patio that overlooks the ocean. The inside is very dark like an old school lounge. We came here twice for lunch during our stay and a few other times grabbed a drink. The food was solid although nothing spectacular. We split the quesadilla, grouper bites as an appetizer and pepperoni pizza for lunch. I liked the thin pizza crust which made it pretty light. The quesadilla was probably my least favorite — I thought it was bland. The other«lunch» was late afternoon before our early evening flight. I had the grouper sandwich(grilled) and it was pretty tasty. The fish was fresh and there was a good balance with the sauce. The french fries were crispy and hot. The drinks were strong and balanced which is what you’d expect since they are somewhat expensive. Service was mixed. The bartenders(their names escape me) were all fantastic — friendly and helpful. The servers were just okay. Service at lunch was slow. I think it took them over 30 minutes to bring out my fish sandwich(with no explanation). Things are a bit pricey. I somewhat expect that since it is(a) a steakhouse and(b) attached to a resort. I’m wouldn’t make a special trip, but it was a solid, convenient option for hotel guests.

The only reason that I didn’t like it was it was highly overpriced for no reason. The Lobster Bisque and the Prime Rib was delicious.

I was staying at The Casa Marina Resort with some old college buddies and prior to our arrival, I contacted the Concierge at Casa because we wanted a nice place to have Thanksgiving dinner. The Concierge, Stacy, recommended The Strip House in their sister property, so I made reservations. After we were seated, our server Jill introduced herself and explained that some of the menu items weren’t available, but there was one bone-in Ribeye left, which I ordered. After the steak came, Jill never once came back to check on us, and the steak was horrible. I was shocked at how bad it was and that Jill not once came over to see how things were going. This was the first time I have ever left a 1 penny tip and I contemplated actually deducting money from the bill, but that might have had unintended consequences. Thanks Strip House for ruining Thanksgiving dinner.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We ate both a lunch and dinner here. The dinner was by far the better meal. The patio looks directly onto the beach. There is small sitting area with a pool table just off to the side. The restaurant is quite large, so we opted to sit in the lounge, which is very very dark at night. The ambiance reminds me of an old oak cigar lounge. The service was superb. Someone was always checking on us, without being bothersome. We enjoyed a lovely scallop dinner with a mango sauce(special of the night) and a double pork loin chop. For the record, it wasn’t technically a ‘double loin’ but it was thick and juicy served with a nice wine reduction. If you like chocolate cake, you must order a piece. It’s mile high, so moist with a good amount of icing! We were advised the hotel does not actually own the restaurant so you don’t need to be a guest to enjoy it. My only complaint is that they close at 10pm. Seriously? That’s early. We were always racing to make it for a night cap! Come on. a lounge should be open for at least drinks and snacks until late. I’m on vacation! I won’t be in bed at 10pm. And like most restaurants in Key West, 18% gratuity is automatic.

This is a wonderful place for upscale cuisine as part of the Reach Waldorf Astoria Resort. The ambiance is very romantic in sense as the outdoor seating is directly on the beach so you can see and smell the ocean. The inside is like a 1930s style cigar lounge(without the cigar or smell :)) with some nude photography(Hense the name), although it suits and is tasteful. The service is slow pacing as it should for an upscale a la cart style cuisine, as you can savor each course and relax in between. As mentioned, the food is served a la carte. The scallops, rip eye and truffle creamed spinach are amazing!!! I would definitely recommend this place but only if you are prepared to put in the extra $$. Estimate about $ 50−60/person without alcoholic beverage included.

Had small breakfast buffet. Nothing More like other hotels would call continental breakfast. Paid 120 $ for 2 adults 2 children. Added in 18 $ tip for no service. Definitely wasn’t worth the money.

My return trip here was just as good as my previous and my fav waiter Luther even remembered me from last year. Came to celebrate my birthday and reserved a cozy corner booth so when the lights went down it was perfect for a snuggly couple. Ordered a bottle of Masi Amarone, ended up with a Tommasi amarone, which was still darn good. they used to have an appetizer called the gorgonzola fondue which totally rocked but they took it off the menu. However, Luther was kind enough to bring me some melted gorgonzola with our bread service which made us very happy. For an appetizer we had the bacon salad($ 12.00) which is like a deconstructed BLT with pork belly. This was very good and quite large for the price. For dinner, well with a second bottle of wine, he had the 22ox bone in ribeye($ 45.00) and I had the scallops with succotash($ 25.00) We also had a side of the green beans($ 8.00) Everything was delicious. The scallops and the steak were done perfectly, the beans nice and crunchy., I didn’t care for the succotash too much, but that;s just me. For dessert Luther compd me a 28 layer chocolate cake that was so huge we brought most of it back to the hotel and still had two more servings.(It’s regularly $ 14.00 and worth every penny) With the romantic atmosphere, the water views and the delicious food here, I’ll always make it a point to come back when in Key West.

This restaurant is a chain and the main place is up in NYC. In Key West, The Strip House is located in the Hilton Waldorf Astoria. The seating outside on the deck overlooking the pier and ocean was beautiful! This has a great location and was such a nice spot to watch the sun set. The service was very professional and attentive. Our waiter, Kelly, seemed to be very knowledgeable. He even recommended a second choice wine to my husband, who said it was good. The menu is set up with family style shared sides, however the portions are much too large for two people. I wish that they offered half portioned sides for smaller parties. We shared the mushrooms(delicious but could feed 4 – 8 people easily!) and the potato ramonoff(I loved this but the hubs did not care for it much. This could be shared by 4 nicely). For entrees, the NY Strip and the special black grouper did not disappoint. The steak is cooked with pressure on both sides and comes out nicely seared and full of flavor! The black grouper was pan cooked and topped with a mango chutney. It was very fresh and flavorful. The portions were nice and we enjoyed sharing them both to get a taste of land and sea. The ambiance inside is interesting as well. It’s decorated with photographs that a French couple took together in the 1940’s I believe. Many are partially or fully nude and would have been very risqué for their time in the U.S. especially. Definitely worth a look around.

Great ocean view — Sit on the deck if you can! And the theme is great as well. I love the old photos and the inside décor. The service was a little slow though. The food was prepared perfectly, especially the meat. The sides are tasty and great for sharing. I had the mac and cheese — YUM! They also have a pool table, which was fun after dinner. I’d totally go back.

Very disappointing that this restaurant does nothing to accommodate vegetarians or vegans. I have been a vegetarian since 14 years old and most restaurants will at least have a couple of dishes I could eat. Nothing here! Nice staff.

I don’t recommend eating here, but at least get a drink here. The restaurant is right on the beach. The outside seating has beautiful views of the ocean, but I think the inside is just as stunning. If has the feel of a classy cigar lounge. Deep reds and cherry wood every where. Then there are the 1930’s, very tasteful, black and white pictures of semi-topless women. They really do add to the ambiance of this place. My biggest complaint was the service. Service was fast, but in my option, too fast. This is a place where your suppose to enjoy the atmosphere, your drinks, your food, and your company. I felt rushed. Typically, my dinning experience in a place such as this is minimum 1 ½ hours. We were pushed out the door in 45 minutes! We weren’t even done with our appetizer when our main course came! Getting to the food… The calamari was okay, a little on the greasy side. The sea scallops were perfectly cooked, but I don’t think pairing them with succotash is a wise choice. It was all too bland. My opinion is that scallops should have a sauce or glaze of some kind, not corn and Lima beans. Skip the goose fat potatoes. It sounded so different and interesting! And against our servers recommendation, I ordered it. …it tasted like a deep fried, unsalted hash brown. I was so disappointed. The steak was tender and perfect! And the black truffle creamed spinach was unlike anything I’ve ever had before(I’m still craving it). If I had to eat just one thing for the the rest of my life, this cream spinach would be it! The mixed drinks were very good and very strong.

We’ve eaten here a few times now, as we stay at the hotel attached to the place(or vice versa.?) The food is okay. There were a few botched orders and the breakfast buffet is meager and expensive, most of the staff(Eastern European guys) never smile(thanks to the tipp being included in the bill I guess) but the real downer of this place(not owned by Hilton) is the tacky décor. If never eat indoors. I’m no prude, far from it, but to see dozens of naked women stare at you in life sized portraits from ever corner, every wall, just isn’t very appealing to my appetite… But a few graffiti members were really nice and the view is good, so it’s with a couple of stars. But unless you stay here and kinda«have» to eat here? Don’t! Ever…

I use Unilocal fairly often to assess the worthiness of a restaurant. I rarely write reviews if there is an abundance of them and the rating is similar to what I would give. For this restaurant I felt compelled to write about our experience. Our waiter was Luther who in my opinion is an excellent waiter. He was kind, patient and his explanations were spot on. The food was excellent! If you like chocolate(who doesn’t ?), then order the 24 layer chocolate cake a la mode. It easily can feed 4 people. ENJOY!

This is just for lunch. It was okay. Had the conch fritters to starts. They were very salty, but the lime aioli definitely made them taste better. I had the tuna lettuce wrap which was literally that — a scoop of tuna, a little portion of cubed tomatoes and cucumber served with a a little under a quarter of a iceberg lettuce to wrap everything up together. Very carb conscious. My mom had the cuban and it was very good and BIG. Both orders came with a generous portion of french fries. Worth $ 50? Definitely not, but if you’re hungry, you’re hungry. And the view of the beach and turquoise water is quite nice. Especially if you’ve just arrived from the wintery northeast.
