The Porch

Feels like a hole in the wall (in a good way!!!) amid a very busy city. Such a sweet place with great beer selection and nice staff. A favorite for sure.

This place has had an awesome porch (haha) and an extensive beer list. We hung out for a beer before heading to dinner. We will be back to check out the cocktail side!

We have been back already on this trip to KW. Great selection of draft beers and sitting on the porch is relaxing… a mini getaway from the hectic activity of Duval yet right there. My hubby appreciates that you can smoke a cigar on the porch. Prices also good!

I’ll keep this short. Great bar’s! yes there are two. It’s a must visit while on Duval street. You can grab a delicious IPA draft, a glass of wine, or an amazing mixed drink. Try the aviator it was a fabulous gin creation.

This little bar is the cutest! It’s in the heart of old town, across from the more touristy bars where you’re likely to get your feet puked on by drunk frat boys. But then you can escape to the porch, with two bars in the bottom floor of a converted plantation-​style home. We sat on the beer/​wine side (walk in to your left) and eventually wandered over to the liquor side (walk in to your right). It’s strange how the bar is set up like that, but I love the feel to it. There’s a great beer/​wine selection and the bartenders are friendly and attentive. The porch is a great way to escape the typical hustle of duval and sip drinks in a more historic feeling and elegant environment… Def has that speakeasy charm.

Best place for a beer in Key West. Came here because of Stephanie M’s recommendation. They have a great variety of offerings, awesome music, and a great atmosphere. It’s relaxed and not pretentious. It’s set back from the street, so it’s not as loud as some of the other places, so it’s a nice break from the craziness of Duval at night. Much calmer, focused on good beer rather than getting smashed.
Bonus points for me for all the Star Wars memorabilia.

This is the sort of bar I will compare others to in the future. It was that good.
First of all, the bar is in a huge, lovely, old house with interesting decorations and hip music. I love the setting. They also have an outdoor area where bands can play.
Now for the drinks. The first night, we headed to the beer and wine side and were deftly assisted by Travis. He was patient when I was unfamiliar with a lot of the unique brews they had on draft. He finally got my husband and I both settled on something we had never tried before. In general, I loved their selection.
The second night, we headed to the cocktail side and had a fabulous mojito. Now this was an expensive mojito. However, it was very good. You could tell they were using fresh ingredients and artistically crafting the drinks. Mixing drinks from scratch myself at home, I appreciated their skill.
Lastly, it seemed most people were rather friendly, and there were a lot of hip people in the 20’s-40’s range. We even met locals frequenting The Porch.
I will remember you for a long time, The Porch. I hope you are still there when I am in Key West again next.

Found this spot looking for some good craft brews while in Key West. Reviews looked good and it didn’t disappoint. Stopped in nightly during my trip to try new cold beverages on draft. They swap out selections all the time, so lots of choices to be had.
Nice little quiet bar with friendly staff that answered all your questions, and provided suggestions as needed. Taste something before you buy if you want or just dive right in.

I knew I would like this place as soon as we walked in. They literally cheered and clapped for us as and we took a bow just cause. The owner/​bartender/​overall friendly guy got all the people sitting to clap for the people coming after them. Hey to newlyweds it just feels like the good times kept rolling. I enjoy beer and the lady enjoys wine so I thought this should be the first stop on Duval.
Since it was hot as well, Southern Florida the lady eschewed her typical red for a white of some kind (really didn’t pay too much attention) and I got the Zombie Killer Cyser-​which is impressive because it’s not readily available and he wanted me to know that it was Zombie Dust, which is a fairly well known beer but one I wouldn’t assume many would know about since it’s from the Midwest (come to think of it so is Zombie Killer.)
We sat around in the cool back area and noticed it really was cool. A variety of Ghostbusters/​Zombie/​Star Wars related stuff, Ms. Pac Man, it was basically like being in a rec room at someone’s house that had a great selection of beer. I could have stayed there drinking all day but the lady was hungry.

This is now my new favorite bar in Key West. It doesn’t have that tourist trap feeling. It just feels like a cool place to sit down and shoot the shit with some new found friends. Sit at the bar and strike up a conversation with your neighbors.
Love the old house feel and the 90s retro influenses like Star Wars, Rock n Sock Em Robots and table top Ms Pacman and Galaga. It just felt comfortable and welcoming. PLUS they have great craft beers to boot!
We happened to be there on a day when they were playing 90s Pop Music. Brad the bartender kept asking us «So what suck @ss movie was this song from?» We had so much fun we came back the next day.

Holy shit is this place amaze. Coming from DC/​Miami, I am always trying to find an off key-​divey-​trendy place that falls far from the confines of sloppy 50 year olds trying to shuffle to remixes of Tiesto Adagio for Strings.
I digress. The Porch has everything you want and more. Strong beers and cocktails at reasonable prices, awesome tunes, and a table top pacman machine = epic night. The interior was awesome but what stood out was the exterior foliage and ultra chill environment. The wait staff were awesome and genuinely wanted to be there to assist. Easily my favorite place in Key West.

If you’re looking for craft beer in Key West, this is one of the few places with a really good selection. It’s in an old house which makes it even better — very unique setup, huge patio space and, you guessed it, a porch. It was pretty busy when we went, so clearly it’s a popular spot.
Also points for very friendly staff!

There is a beer and wine bar that is open during both day and night. There is also a cocktail bar that doesn’t open until 5pm. Sit and the bar and watch the master bartender craft beautiful cocktails.

A VERY relaxing place. **Wine & Micro Brew Bar**
This place is a refreshing diversion from the madness and mayhem of Duval Street. I would highly recommend a glass of wine or beer and just kicking back to watch the world go by. There is seating on the outside porch of the house as well as limited seating around the bar and lounge area.
I enjoyed a nice glass of Pinot La Crème and my husband Ed a Cab. Our bartender Libby was very nice and hospitable. There is a nice selection of unique micro brew beers as well as different wines available to choose from.
Happy hour: 4:30pm — 6:30pm
The Porch is the left door up the stairs of the house. Her sister bar, «The Other Side» is the right door of the house. The Other Side stocks hard liquor cocktails only. There is no beer or wine at The Other Side. You can, however, walk back and forth between the two rooms if someone wants a beer, and someone else prefers a martini.

Wife and I had a few hours to kill in key West during a cruise stop. Walking in Duval Street and with the help of a little Unilocal wizardry, we stumbled upon The Porch on a Friday late morning. The bar was quiet, just a friendly bartender named Anne Marie and another couple at the bar (a far cry from the coladaquiri fueled Fat Tuesday down the street). We enjoyed several of their draft options, all fresh, and as you can see from my photos, quite an extensive bottle list as well.
Highly recommend for a beer and a book, date night (or day) and cruise ship stopover, maybe I’ll run an excursion next time I’m down there.

I love this place! Tucked away off duval. The staff is always friendly. They have a great beer selection. The interior is unique and they have really fun art on the walls.
Reasonably priced and you can also get a pretty affordable bottle of prosecco.
I love to start and finish my key west trips here just because it’s so welcoming.
They opened a full liquor bar right beside it sigh is nice for those of us who don’t drink beer.
I give this place 2 thumbs up! I even bought a hat that I wear religiously.
