One of my favorite meals we had on Maui. This is a great outdoor place with friendly service and tasty food. We ordered tacos and a burrito and were especially impressed with the salsas and sauces on the side. Everything was very fresh. Great prices too!

Ordered 4 tacos, got back to the room and only had 3. Steak/carne asada was fatty with chunks of gristle. I have no idea how this place got 5 stars-I would never recommend it.

This Mexican stand is one of the most authentic ones in kihei. Food was delicious and friendly staff, the only thing Is avoid the pickled peppers and onions, so good but my bf and I think we might have gotten sick from eating that, of course we are not 100% certain because we did try out Different food trucks that day but we did notice that their salsa sauces and the homemade jalapeño and onions are left out in room temperature, so we are just guessing it was from the spicy jalapeños because we ate alot of it.

Simple but delicious! We drove by this outdoor taco stand a couple of times and wanted to try it for the adventure if nothing else. It is located just south of Shaka Pizza on Kihei Rd. in front of a Church. 1784 S Kihei Rd, Kihei, HI96753. They are also had three business licenses and the big green PASS certificate displayed on the front of the stand. The people working there all spoke Spanish and one of them told another customer they are from Mexico, but I didn’t hear where. Family friendly with lots of kids running around playing. They have meat tacos for $ 3.50, Mulitas(small quesadillas) for $ 4.50 and burritos and big quesadillas for $ 8.00) they can be made with steak, pork shredded or regular, chicken. Shrimp are $ 50 or $ 1.00 extra. They can also come loaded with cabbage, cilantro, beans and onions. Not a lot of options, but what they do, they do very well and with obvious pride. Also fresh home-made salsas and avocado sauce. We tried the tacos with pork, and the mulitas with shrimp and shredded pork. They were all excellent and great prices!!! We cannot wait to go back and try something else. Bottles of water and cans of coke etc. are $ 1.00 each. We ate outside on the tables under a tarp. The whole setup reminded us of Cozumel sort of. Lots of local surf types dropping by for supper and to take away. Highly recommend.

I’ve been looking for an authentic delicious taco on Maui for over 20 years. This is the spot. Great ambiance of a makeshift outdoor terrace in front of the little church. Very very fresh and flavorful. The red sauce and the green sauce both pack a chili wallop that’s highly addictive. I’ll be back a billion times.

Best tacos I’ve had on Maui! They taste just like the ones in Mexico! The staff is very friendly! The location is nice, your able to enjoy your food there since they have tables. I’ll be going back! Add the guacamole salsa!!! Sooo good!

If you can find it, it’s worth the search. Don’t know why there’s no sign. Look for little church called ‘Iglesia La Luz Del Mundo’ with flashing neon ‘Open’ sign. Food was outstanding, customer service was great. Outdoor sitting was annoying due to flies

I’ve seen this place driving by before. Glad I stopped to check it out. Had a carne asada taco and adobada mulita. Both were incredibly fresh and delicious. The staff were all happy to serve and super friendly. I love the outdoors style dining and the family like atmosphere. All in all, this place rocks and I will make it a regular stop when I’m in Kihei. Check it out for yourself… a taste and feel of Mexico on Maui.

I’m always on the hunt for great street tacos. These are some of the better ones I have come across on my travels. I tried the fish, chorizo and steak. All three were very flavorful. Since this place is pretty close to home and the ladies working were very sweet and laid back I will for sure be stopping by for a quick lunch again. Also the selection of sauces are good and they were all tasty. There is also a great little farmers market next door to meander through while waiting for your order.

Delicioso!!! This place feels like a true mexi outdoor taqueria stand right down to the concrete slab floor, Not unlike Baja, Michoacan or Puerto. Large shady Open air space with wrought iron chairs & tables. I had the tacos, 1 each(shrimp, carnitas & carne asada), all killer! The guy next to me had a carne asade burrito the size of a small school bus. The señoras make all the items by hand and are super friendly, patient & accommodating. all the proceeds go to their church right there. Open 7 days 10:30am close at 10:30pm! Horchata & aqua de piña refills only $ 1. I’m going back tomorrow!

So this food truck is outside of the Spanish church near shakas off south kihei road. . I have been coming here for about 5 years and it is also soo good. They have tacos for 3.50 each you can get chicken pork beef. but it’s what they put on it that makes it so good so the put beans cabbage and cilantro it’s so good… and there salsas are also great red or green… and they even have Horchata! !
