The waitresses are extremely skilled. They run around like mad but still find the energy for a sweet smile and and some southern hospitality! Crab eggs Benedict for the win.

Henry’s is amazing. We’ve been going there a few years for breakfast while on vacation. Very very good quality food. I can’t really elaborate – everything is good. Our waitress was a rockstar. We’ve had her a few years. She runs non-stop from table to table. The other waitresses seem to be on the same level. They keep your coffee warm. I have owned a Henry’s coffee mug for a year or two now. Had to buy one as a souvenir from the gift shop because they feel so comfortable in your hand. Next year we are definitely trying lunch there. Looking forward to trying their other food:):):)

Worse meal I have had in a long time. Why a server would place a meal in front of a patron that they can see is burned… make that charred… is beyond me. They were still serving breakfast. when we arrived I ordered my favorite, eggs Benedict. ¾of the hash browns were black. The whites of the eggs were not cooked. The bottom of both English muffins were black. The server made one appearance. And only one cup of coffee. When she arrived with the check, I asked if I get one cup only one cup. She said we can have more. I requested that it be to go. We struck up a conversation with the couple at the next booth. They said their food was ‘just ok’.

Blueberry pancakes were great– fluffy, just the right amount of sweet. Biscuits were soft, and my turkey sausage was good. At about 8:30 it’s really busy though. We didn’t have to wait for a seat for our family of 5, but we had to wait a few minutes for refills.

The food was poor compared to the price. We ordered flounder and it tasted as though it had been microwaved several times. The waitress was fantastic — kind, attentive, helpful — unfortunately it is the only kind comment we can make about the experience. We do not plan to return.

Every time I’m on the outer banks I head to Henry’s for a chicken and biscuit! Best on the island. Friendly staff, great prices, and good food keep me coming back.

The best breakfast at OBX and is real country cooking. Their dinners are also excellent and are basic Eastern NC cooking. The staff is friendly and the prices are as cheap as you will find. The menu is large and varied. We eat at Henry’s on every trip!

Last year and this year, cannot get anyone to answer the phone for pick-up. Left messages hoping someone is checking them and will return call. Has been 16 minutes and counting.

We got distracted and ended up having a late lunch at Henry’s because we were close and had never eaten there. It struck me as a somewhat dated feeling place a little musty with dingy carpet and so on, kind of like when you go into an old motel. It is fairly large. From the lunch menu, Ms T ordered a broiled shrimp platter and I ordered a fish sandwich. We both had slaw and Ms T had fries. I also sampled a cup of crab bisque. The crab bisque was the best thing we had. It had good crab flavor and was very smooth, but was over thickened with flour. It was a version that relies on starch to thicken instead of cream and crab. Nevertheless, it tasted good. The fish offered in the fish sandwich was not the flounder that I would have liked. There was trout and something else(catfish?). I ordered trout. I found no issues with the preparation or the sandwich, but just did not care for the trout. It just got fishier as I ate it. Ms T’s broiled shrimp was meager serving on a metal plate with no seasoning or butter, just dry shrimp, over broiled and stuck to the plate. A person should probably try the fried shrimp. Our slaw was average, not really fresh and a little over dressed, creamy style. Her fries were varnished style and were just fine. We left with a weak three star feeling and in retrospect that is about right. We really only need one or two reliable seafood places at the Outer Banks and Henry’s will not be one of them. We will stick with Sam & Omie’s, Miller’s Waterfront and Kill Devil Grill.

Okay. Nothing special. Keep truckin on past this place. It may have been around a longggg time, but that doesn’t mean it’s tasty. Better for breakfast.

Well, I had a crab cake which was okay. Fresh, but lots of breading. Nice that we had no wait on a Friday night. Our waitress was good but could not get the manager to make amends for my husband’s super greasy catfish. He ordered an all-you-can-eat, but couldn’t get extra because it was disgustingly greasy. We asked to be charged only for the meal and showed her the sopping mess, but no. So, bad review and we won’t be back. I love the wAitresses here and have been for breakfast, but to have a manager not make amends or even come by to check says, «I don’t care, just give me your money.» Never again!

Typical style of seafood restaurant and friendly wait staff. When my All-You-Can-Eat catfish meal was so greasy I could barely eat half the first serving, Wendy was quick to try to help. She wanted to have the manager/owner make some sort of adjustment as it was so obvious when I mentioned it. That’s where the good ends. She came back from the manager and apologized profusely because they would do absolutely nothing about it. Not even a visit from the manager to apologize. Needless to say, $ 20 for one piece of way-to-greasy fish and two left swimming on the plate is not much of a deal and poor service. I’m shocked as I’ve not seen this kind of apathetic response from management in a long long time. Fish swim in water but cooked fish shouldn’t swim in grease… ever. The owners could learn from a trip to Mississippi to learn how to cook catfish. Based on the food I will not return. Based on the management, I wrote a Unilocal review.

We ate there last night and although neither of us was very hungry, we had such good food. I had a Cesar salad with the best fried oysters I’ve ever had, and Don had Coconut Shrimp. Friendly service as well as fast service, we really enjoyed the experience.

Pros: staff was very nice and friendly. The restaurant was very clean. Seating was adaquate and the décor was cool. No wait at all to be seated. Good place to bring old or elderly people. Food was pretty good. Cons: this place was like a throwback to the 1970s. Menu options are very limited, did not appear as if menus have been updated in the last 30 years. No liquor drinks at all, and the beer selection is limited. Fox news playing on TVs in the restaurant, puke, probably for all of the elderly that where dining.

First time here and it probably won’t be the last. They have a good variety from seafood to non-seafood and we all enjoyed what we ate(broiled scallops, broiled shrimp, fried shrimp, popcorn shrimp and buffalo chicken sandwich)… The service was very good and our waitress(Reagan) was VERY friendly. The prices seemed good for the portion sizes that we had. We don’t typically go out for breakfast but may have to make the trip here to try it out.

Saw all the cars in the lot and thought they all must know the place is worth it. I had French toast and eggs, and my husband had western omelet. All was good. Service was as prompt as could be expected with as busy as they were. Get there early!

Stopped here in the off-season for lunch and this is where the locals eat. Very busy, very enjoyable, real roomy inside lots of great choices on the menu breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything from eggs and pancakes to sandwiches, seafood platter, prime rib and pasta a very diverse menu. Kind a like diner type but better. Prices are fair, portion sizes are good, service is outstanding. Me and the wife both had some boiled seafood platters and they were just outstanding and full of flavor. Already looking forward to another visit to try some more items on their menu.

Great breakfast! Service was friendly, fast, and efficient! Tasty omelet, fluffy biscuit. Good coffee. Hubby’s eggs over easy were done right. This place earns repeat visits, at least in the am-l haven’t tried their lunch or dinner. They have a little gift shop at the checkout.
