Disgusting. Horrible place, I stayed for less than 8 hours. Found old blood stains on bed linens, dirty shower and giant beetles in my room. I complained and was told ‘sorry for the inconvenience.’ No refund and I will make sure people are aware of the unsanitary conditions. DO NOT STAY HERE. If I could rate it a zero star I would.

Ok so there’s not much to say about Killeen Texas except for that I got go see my brother there at Fort Hood when he came home from over seas! We chose to stay at Hawthorne because its super close to the base and has a full breakfast bar till 10am. It was originally just going to be my mom and I but my sister was able to get the time off and join us. We thought we would just get a room with 2 beds instead of the king bed and pull out sofa that we had made reservations for when we got there.
Unfortunately, we didn’t realize there wasn’t a room with two beds so we were going to try somewhere else. Needless to say we were tired and grumpy and not very polite but when the manager found out why we were there he offered to comp a whole extra room FOR 2 nights! That would have been worth a couple hundred dollars. He said to thank our brother for his service! I couldn’t believe it, who does that? The rest of our stay was just as pleasant, the front desk was oober helpful with directions and even helped with our plans with my brother for the weekend. The beds were comfy and everything was clean.
Oh and for all of you dog lovers, we saw quite a few other guests walking their pets but never heard any :) so they’re PET FRIENDLY!
Any hotel that is willing to give up a room so that a family can see their soldier is amazing to me and I thought everyone should know how much it meant to my family, ESPECIALLY my brother.
Thank you Hawthorne staff, while I’m not looking forward to Killeen, I would give you my business anytime ;)

OK, what is it with hotels and Texas? Are they all this bad?
I started this review back in April of last year and never finished it.
This hotel is abysmal. Bugs in the rooms. If you decide to stay there after reading that I cannot help you any further.

The furniture is dated, but our overall stay was clean and comfortable. We had no issue with check-​in and check-​out. The location is convenient to food and shopping. The parking is limited and oddly situated around the building, but we had no issues finding a spot.

First off this hotel deserves NO stars! My mom stayed there for 2 weeks for a class on fort hood and coincidentally her purse was stolen out of her room on her last day. They KNEW she was from outta town and KNEW she would be leaving. ALSO she was on the 3^rd floor, how the F*ck would some random robber know to pick her room. I know it was one of those maids, its makes perfect sense. She never had her room cleaned ONLY that last day and she stuff goes missing? How coincidental!!! And when we find out EXACTLY what happened, theirs hell to pay! Don’t stay at this crappy hotel, they will steal from you!

Our stay here was good nothing bad to say. Close to Walmart and food. Pet Friendly!!! Thank god that gives them an extra star!!!
