For Fathers day, I had the most wonderful dining experience ever with my wife, at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in King of Prussia. The food was superb, the dining experience was the best ever and my hat’s off to our waiter Jeff Rottman. Jeff is a true professional who knows his craft inside out. A more perfect waiter you will never find anywhere. You are very fortunate to have him in your organization. Thank you to Steve, the manager and a special thank you to Jeff. Rich and Debby

I really can’t decide between two or three stars. Why can’t Unilocal give us a half!!! I’ve been here a couple of times. Our visits were just ok. The first time, the service and table were subpar and the food great, and the second time vice versa. For our first visit, the hostess tried to seat us at a small booth near the bar, which is just off the entrance. I really hate sitting near a bar. She ended up putting us in another room which was almost like a banquet room. Brightly lit, tables lined up all in a row. I felt like our table for two was lost among larger parties. The food was very good that night. Chopped house salad was delicious. My filet was cooked just to my liking. I was eager to come back. So we decided to return for our anniversary. When making the reservation we let them know we were celebrating. We were seated at a lovely booth in the back room. Both the booth and the entire room were cozy and intimate. They had sprinkled rose petals on our table and gave us an anniversary card. Really nice! But the food was pretty meh that night. My steak was very gristly. The creamed spinach was practically liquid and we sent the French fries back because they were limp and greasy. A restaurant like this should have great food and great service/atmosphere all the time. It shouldn’t be one or the other.

We haven’t been to a Ruth’s Chris and years and were never at this location so we didn’t know what to expect. From the moment we walked in it was perfect and just got better. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and they really made it special from the ribbon thru acknowledging her throughout . The food and drinks were on point. There was a large selection of martinis and whiskey to chose as well as a choice of water. The server was very personable and was able to accommodate us with the menu selections. The apple walnut salad and wedge were great and served timely. The server even suggested a half wedge due to its size. I’m glad a took his advise since the cold crisp half wedge was plenty . We were informed of the special which was a cowboy cut of steak which I chose cooked medium. It was perfect and sizzling hot on the plate. My wife chose the petite filet. Between the steaks and the sides of creamed Spinach and sweet potato casserole(HIGHLYRECOMMENDED) it was more then enough. We weren’t hurried or hassled. The GM stopped by to inquire as is customary. The table bussers waited until they were sure we were done. The left overs were neatly packaged at the table and bagged. Coffee and dessert were fine. The crusted banana cream pie is awesome. The cheese cake was ordinary, nothing special. Considering the experience, we will be back. The dining room was well lit and roomy. The noise level acceptable(you could have an intimate conversation) and the place was clean. Thank you.

I haven’t been to this location in quite a few years, but the wife wanted to experience RC for the first time as part of her birthday celebration. We late found out it also happened to be Restaurant Week in KOP. Reservations and getting our table quickly was not an issue. There was a weird chemical smell walking past the bathroom(not sure if they were cleaning). The service was top notch. They had a special table made for my wife’s birthday. Our waiter was super attentive and different folks from the staff came over and asked how everything was. Wife ordered the«restaurant week» filet which included starter, side and dessert. She loved everything about it. The only reason I give this a 3 stars is that my meal could have alot better. I ordered RC ribeye special. The chorizo soup was a bit on the salty side and the ribeye wasn’t flavored enough. Usually with a well cooked steak, you don’t need steak sauce to go with it but I had to mix the steak in with the creamed spinach to get some flavor out of each bite. I’ve also seen nicer cuts of ribeye at Costco. Didn’t want to make a big deal about it since it was my wife’s day, but I was not impressed. I am glad that my wife enjoyed her experience though.

Came here during KOP restaurant week. The bartenders were very helpful with their wine recommendations and discovered 2 new brands. The appetizers I had were good — crab stuffed mushrooms and spicy lobster. The steak was ok.

Our experience at dinner on a thursday night was top notch, with great service and great food. The 4 courses for $ 45 or $ 55 were a great value and plenty of food.(you have 3 entrée choices at each price point) My 11 oz filet was perfect and plenty, and my wife had the 6 oz with 3 shrimp and it was plenty for her. Add in 2 salads, 2 personal sides(which we shared and still took some home) and 2 tasty deserts. We would highly recommend and will be back.

My first time trying Ruth’s Kris in King of Prussia was alright, but nothing special. I have to admit that there is a huge difference between the old Center City location and KoP location. Most of that is apparent in staff training and atmosphere. Our wait staff was attentive, but they should know that you never hand your customer plates of food across the table and expect them to grab them from you. The meal was good, but nothing special. My Filet came out rare, as I ordered it and was a nice cut. The sides are good and I recommend the sweet potato casserole and the sautéed mushrooms. The Ruth’s Classics dinner deal is an excellent bargain for your dollar and our waiter did not steer us away from it. But to be honest, this location has a feel of an slightly upscale mall restaurant, not what I am used to from Ruth’s. If I’m spending $ 300+ for dinner, I think I’ll stick with Barclay Prime.

Simply delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly. I had the mixed grill which consisted of a 6oz filet mignon, an airlined chicken breast, and a crab cake. My wife had the pork chop. The meals were delicious. Our waiter, Shaun, was excellent and very attentive. This was our first time and we will be back.

Ok, so what can I really say. Ruth’s Chris speaks for itself. This was my first time at this location but I have been to many others and they all meet the same standards. This location is right outside of The King of Prussia mall. Literally around the corner. The service is great and drinks are always tasty. The pineapple upside down Martini is one of my favs. I always get the ribeye when I go. I get it blackened with blue cheese crust, always so tasty. Their sides are big enough for to share and you can’t go wrong with any of them. This is a really nice establishment. If your looking for great food and a good atmosphere, then this is the place to go

In the KOP. Had a soup. Drink. Sat in the bar area this time. Quiet, not bad, bar hostess was attentive. Good feel. I’d like to go again for a full meal

Service: POOR Ambiance: Dead Food: Mediocre at best Just wondering what the heck happened to this name brand? The one in Baltimore City? Top Notch, classy, clean, and Top Notch service. I felt like I was at a Ruby Tuesday’s Under cover boss: This place needs your help, otherwise Capital Grill next door SHOULD be demolishing(you the competition).

My first experience with Ruth’s Chris was at their Princeton, NJ location. I was totally impressed. The amazing food, the great ambiance, the top notch service… it was a great dining experience. Then I came to the KOP location. Now don’t get me wrong here, it wasn’t horrible, it was okay. I think the main fault of this location is its close proximity to the 2nd largest mall in America! When I dined there there was actually people there in sweatpants who probably left the mall and saw the words«steak house» and thought it was an Outback! I think the type of clientele makes the staff try a little less and the place loses some of the polished atmosphere that I experienced in Princeton. Bottom line, good… just not up to the standard of other Ruth’s Chris locations.

This was without a doubt the worst steakhouse I have ever been to. It would have been better to go to outback and spend half he money. Our server started out great making recommendations and getting us going. As the Meal went on and got worse she drifted away. In all fairness she was serving a lot of tables sat all at once, but at the end of the day it’s her job To make the experience. Appetizers French onion soup– decent. Nothing special but a good choice. Shrimp cocktail– nice size shrimp. Fresh. Crab cakes– dried out and really just not good. Meals Cowboy ribeye– this was highly recommended by the server and it was TERRIBLE! in fact, the busboy said he had one that same week and he was not impressed at all. This steak was terrible. It had zero flavor, I mean zero. It was beyond seared on the outside, closer to charcoaled. It really tasted like nothing you could imagine. It was like eating dog food. The server NEVER asked how our meal was, presumably because the busboy had already told her and she didn’t want to deal with it. STAYAWAYFROMTHISSTEAK. Potato au gratin– tasted good. Nothing special Cream spinach– probably the best part of the meal. Give it a try. Overall for almost $ 250 I would have rather went to chili’s. It was really that bad. Food way over priced and just not good, service was poor, besides the busboy. GOTOMORTONS or even Outback but do not waste your money here.

Based on my dinner tonight, I had to give RCSH5 stars. The ribeye was perfectly cooked, the sautéed mushrooms melted in my mouth and the sweet potato casserole was to die for. The service was great and the bill, well that’s another matter entirely. Lol! I highly recommend you try the ‘sweet potato casserole’ with whatever protein you choose.

Always 5 stars starting from the service, to the drinks and, of course, the delicious food. I am never disappointed at Ruth’s Chris.

First off: Total 5-star service. Our server was patient as we asked him a million questions, descriptive in every answer he gave, and was extremely accommodating to say the least. I ordered the lamb chops and my wife had the ribeye. Both were cooked to the requested temperature, and the server does ask that you confirm this upon arrival. However, I found the taste of both a little on the subpar side. You would think it tastes awesome since everything is cooked in butter, but it was missing something. I didn’t ask, but a side of mint would’ve been nice with the lamb. Sides were a very generous portion, so totally shareable, as were the appetizers. They were probably the best aspect of the meal. And the complimentary rolls were actually quite addicting. They’ll sell you on the lobster mac and cheese, but I found it too liquidy and not baked enough. Decent portion though as I mention. I’d return with a group if I lost my vote, but I would work to convince my peers to go elsewhere. Other than that, I don’t see myself returning on my own.

I received a gift card for Christmas or I probably wouldn’t have tried this place. The cowboy ribeye was way over seasoned and barely had any fat on it. I love a fatty steak. I can’t say that it’s bad but it’s what I expected from a chain restaurant. Lobster mac & cheese was amazing ! Atmosphere 5⁄5 Service 5⁄5 Only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because it’s not my preference on how I like my steak.

I believe the experience one receives at an eatery is based on the professionalism of the staff and a bit of the vibe the diner puts off. Nearing the end of a tough work week and deciding I earned a little reward I chose Ruth Chris for dinner tonight. Dining by myself and wearing jeans and a fleece shirt I think I showed up a bit underdressed. Plus a sign of fatigue produced a less than favorable attitude from the server. Maybe she anticipated less of a tip or felt I wasn’t Ruth Chris material. She attempted to run me into an Ala cart order when I ordered from the fixed price combo meal section of the menu. She was flipping from page to page fumphering through prices not even trying to help me order a reasonably priced dinner. I pointed out politely my item the veal chop was in the combo deal and she played it off like the menus was new. Sorry Sheila I’m not buying it, you tried to run up my tab because I was a lone diner and you thought the tip was going to suck. What made me feel this way was the fat guy in the cheap suit manager skipped right by me when greeting the people in the booths at the bar side of the restaurant. Hey mr manager, über traveler/Yelper here you fouled up! My salad came out and it was excellent, if there was a critical point the dish wasn’t wiped but not the end of the world. Then there was an an awkward period when the salad was gone and I sat there twiddling u thumbs and poking at my iPhone. Here comes my veal chop that looked fabulous but I ordered medium and got rare. My rule is eat it now then bitch later on Unilocal.Sheila offered me a second hot plate to cook it at the table. Yo girl bring me a chefs hat too. I ate most of it anyway because when I submit a $ 70 dinner bill on my expenses I like to say«yeah I ate that and it sucked». $ 30 buck less I would have paid walked and gone to shake shack! Maybe it was my attitude but I’m not paid to be nice to people, waitress’s are! I was not at all nasty just not jovial because I’m tired from a high stress work week. Needless to say Sheila returns and under explains my desert. I was pretty stuffed and she explained I had a piece of chocolate cake and chocolate on the side. I assumed a little piece of spongy cake and chocolate syrupy what shows up is a dense chocolate cheese cake and a nice sized piece of chocolate bark. Had I been properly informed I would have brought this back toy hotel for later. F’you Sheila you have to be better at your job than this. Not a chain joint guy I wanted to try Ruth Chris and having this one in my hotel parking lot was a great opportunity. The Unilocal reviews were hit or miss. I took a shot and now I can say been there done that and move on to my favorites which are non chain farm to table and family owned artisan bistros. Thanks Sheila for screwing Ruth Chris for me because it’s overpriced and over hype! Might try again but not in KOP. Hey mr manager stop finishing off people’s left overs in the kitchen and stop discriminating when greeting diners. The guy you snub may be a FoodDude!

I’ve recently only start to come to this place for one reason and one reason only. THEHAPPYHOURDEAL. It’s $ 7 for what could most appropriately be called«small bites» I guess(at least they are for a big guy like me) and $ 7 mixed drinks and $ 3 yeunglings. I usually get the steak sandwhich med rare and the service is so hit or miss because everyone working there just seems to not care that sometimes it comes rare and others it’s med well. The place it self looks like it’s on its last legs, most likely due to it’s location in regards to the KOP mall(It’s farther out from the shops than Capital Grille and Seasons 52 etc). Aside from the 3 tables that are there for happy hour there’s maybe 1 actual table seated for dinner, which explains the last ditch effort to get people through the door with this deal. You gotta try this deal while it lasts I don’t forsee this restaurant keeping its doors open for very much longer. But be warned you’re getting what you pay for so don’t expect out of this world service or food.

I went here with some friends for happy hour the second time today, and probably one of the best happy hour deals around. All the food items are $ 7 and the steak sandwich is probably our favorite. It comes with 4 pieces of steak cooked at your preferred temperature(usually spot on) on a roll topped with bearnaise sauce. Also includes a side of fries. For 7 dollars. The drink specials are nice but nothing groundbreaking or super cheap. The bar area is clean with friendly service. Two flat screen TVs are available for your enjoyment. On a sad note, I’m worried about this place. Every time we go, it’s almost empty and there are more employees than customers. Hopefully, it’s just because we go during off hours and these sweet happy hour deals will draw in the crowds.
