Stopped in for a quick lunch, and was pleasantly surprised that the ownership and name has changed! It’s now the flying pickle, with locally backed sub rolls and amazing sandwiches AND breakfast everyday. Had the obligatory Rueben, ’cause if you cant make a great Rueben you’re not a sandwich shop… it was a great Rueben! Marbled rye, steamy hot kraut and a generous pile of corn beef. I had the baked potato salad, very nice as well. Talked to the owner Jon, who is a huge sports fan, and he has put a couple flat screens in for the games! Sad to see the café leave but very happy about the new direction the new owners are going in! Welcome to Kingston, THEFLYINGPICKLE!

I love Coastal. Brittany makes the best espresso in town. Food is always made fresh and with care. The breakfast croissant is my fav. Owner Tracy is friendly and helpful. Pleasant atmosphere.

Slow service. Understaffed. My coffee was cold. My sandwich was horrible.

One of my new favorite spots in Kitsap. It’s a funky little coffee shop located strategically for those of us on the North end of the North end. With art for sale and a word of the day on the walls and comfy chairs to sit for awhile it’s just the kind of atmosphere I’d like to spend my afternoons in. They also offer live music during the week. This place has a great selection of sandwiches and salads always fresh off the line. Something for every taste.

A friendly little alternative café(Called Coastal Café on signs) in a strip mall, a nice find on route 104 traveling between Seattle(via the Edmonds ferry) and the peninsula. Lots of creative sandwiches of which you don’t normally see, including a nice number of vegetarian options.
