The teriyaki chicken is good, and the woman behind the counter is always really sweet. She went ahead and took my credit card even though it was ten minutes before closing and she had already shut down the credit thing.

Worst ever! Even Joy’s Nest Chinese near the Axe Handle is better… Dirty, fake food, lots of MSG. Yuck. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to go in there

Terrible. «Soggy» is the best description I can give for the food. I had pork teryaki, and it looked like the meat chunk Alpo in a can that I won’t feed the dog. No spice or character, just Soft wet soggy rice with flavorless meat glop. The walls and floor were dirty, and the place just seemed unsanitary. The woman behind the counter was pleasant and attentive.

This restaurant is very dirty! There were dirty cleaning rags laying out on the counter. The people back in the kitchen area were eating their hamburgers and French fries while cooking customer orders. This by far the worst teriyaki restaurant I have ever been to.

* DONOTEATATTHISESTABLISHMENTIFYOUVALUEYOURLIFE* If you find you have the desire to dine here, don’t. Before you walk in the door, look at those posters in the window, from the outside. See those things? Now look down at the sill. See those? Now the floor. They are there too. Now take it all in before you open the door. What do you see? That’s right. Insects. Hundreds of them. Some dead. Some alive. Not outside where you’d expect them. Nope, those are all on the INSIDE of the restaurant. This place is disgusting. They were nailed by the health department awhile back for… are you sure you want to know? It’s worse than insects… care to take a guess? According to the report, it was for: employee failure to wash hands after using bathroom. «MMMMMM, that’s GOOOOOD! What an earth did you season this with? Oh, your fecal matter, that’s okay, it’ll cook out, if you hand’t been nailed for improper hot holding temperatures too.» Stay clear, and for the love of all that’s holy or whatever you believe in, DONOT take your children in here.

This place is the worst teriyaki I’ve ever had. Hard to mess it up, but this can be done well. They use a lot of flavorless oil and it tastes greasy & processed. Go across the street. You won’t regret it, but you will eating here at soho. They are friendly, but that’s not enough to support this place.

Worst teriyaki. Ever. We stopped here on our way home because the ferry wait was 2 hours and you might as well have your lunch while you wait… What a mistake! The chicken teriyaki disgusting. The gyoza were completely foul. They were browned on the bottom but slimy and cold. Like they’d been precooked and kept in the fridge for the past 3 weeks. Absolutely terrible. Better off going to Albertsons and getting something out of the deli. Ugh.

Don’t even bother! Paid for fried rice ended up not getting it. Better off at Sakura Teriyaki down the road at the gas station.

Noodle and vegetables equals ramen style noodles and cabbage, not so good. Chicken teriyaki was slimy, not enough sauce, rice over cooked. Will not return.

Good service. Awful food Over the years, I have been to myriad teriyaki restaurants and not one was as horrible as this place. After crossing the ferry from Edmonds to Kingston, my family and I went here for lunch. We regret that now. The chicken teriyaki was awful. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of chicken but this brings my disgust of it to a whole new level. My suggestion? An empty stomach is better than a sick one.

Uck! I think chicken teriyaki is like making someone scrambled eggs — pretty hard to mess up. The chicken was undercooked and had big hunks of gristle in it. The side of fried cabbage had a weird fish taste to it. I was trying not to look at the dirty floor while eating. The young kid who was working was sweet, but good grief the food was awful!

The food here does not appear to be made fresh, but is prepped or made off site and put into a steam table to keep warm. The steam table is where the plate of «teriyaki» I consumed came from. I didn’t see anybody working a grill. I ate about ¼ of the food and called it a day. DONOTEATHERE!!! It is absolutely disgusting and a shame on Japanese culture. I love when someone believes, «Hey, I’m asian, I should open a teryaki joint. I am obviously qualified, just being asian.» If this review doesn’t stop you from trying this place, you must like to live dangerously. This place should be condemned!

A good deal and lots of parking doesnt qualify for 4 stars, i would bet that last review was writen by the owner or friend of. If I could give less than 1 star i would. This was hands down thee worst food i’ve ever eaten, and my fiancée who was also there, agrees. The service was fine the place was fine, the Prices seemed good until i got my food, and I’ve never been known to NOT finish a plate of Gen. Tso’s Chicken, it didn’t even look or taste like Gen. Tso’s and the egg roll, was so nasty that i spit it back on to my plate and then began trying to wipe the taste off of my tounge with my napkin. Needless to say we left shortly after entering SOHO teryaki and drove the rest of the way to Port angeles hungy, And we figured out why it was called SOHO(SO HOrrible teryaki).
