Just had a great meal. Delicious eggplant parmesan, soup, and rice pudding. My friend had the moussaka which he said was also delicious. Fast and friendly service. Great prices. Can’t wait to go back.

Small diner. Uncomfortable and bizarre location. Views of traffic. Waitresses are unfriendly, and short with you. Refills are scoffed at, basics, like toast muffins etc, were charred. Spent more time de-blacking my breakfast. They need new plates in this establishment. Small menu. Average food portions, flavors. Coffee was very light. Go if you must.

To begin, gone to michaels before with great satisfactions and the person who I believe is the host or one of the managers, John is a wonderful person who is too kind to the customers, I would have much rather paid the bill for this incident instead of it being on the house. We’re kind people who had come for a late night meal unaware of the fact that they were closing at midnight. It was 10:45, we were unsure of we wanted at first but after putting our order in it went down hill. Two paninis that took fifteen minutes to come out, missing coleslaw and pickles as well. The food was mediocre; the California panini was lacking in chicken that wasn’t even on the bread with a laughable portion of avocado(guacamole instead) and the turkey club panini was another joke on its own with its dry turkey meat, lack of lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The waitress hadn’t come by to check on us or even offer any refills. Sitting for twenty minutes waiting for the check while she gossips about her vacations at the bar. Hopefully next time will be better.

Went for breakfast, everything was ok, not great. Had cherry pie after and halfway through saw it was covered in mold under the crust. I nearly vomited. We showed who I believed was the co owner, and all we got was a simple sorry, and meal was not comped. Will never go back

Michael’s has long been the quintessential diner in the Kingston Ny area. They’ve always had delicious food, extremely generous portions, friendly service, and great prices. However recently the menu changed; I was nervous, were they going to ruin what made Micheal’s my go-to spot?, I should’ve known better then to doubt the owner, Steve Oulupis! They kept everything that made the diner a Kingston classic, plus they added a bevy of phenomenal new salads. Additionally they added a lighter menu– in which you get a half portion of their normally gigantic entrees, along with soup or salad, and a choice of homemade pudding for dessert(I love the rice pudding) — for ONLY7.95! The bottom line– great food, great prices & great service! And you are supporting LOCAL business!

Super super super fast!(Did I mention that they are super fast!!!) Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent prices. This became our go to breakfast spot and we even had lunch here a time or two. Would go back again in a heartbeat… matter of fact, looking forward to it.

Super fast and cheap. Decent breakfast, good coffee. Open 24⁄7. There were a few order problems(eggs over easy instead of over medium, sandwich roll not toasted), but nothing major. Would eat again.

I travel from Nashville, TN to NY frequently. It’s a long trip to drive, but how am I gonna get 5 dozen hard rolls back to Tennessee? Anyway, by time we are in the Kingston, NY area it is 2AM after 17 ½ hours of driving. No matter that there is still 90 more minutes left on my trip. No matter how delirious I am from driving, THIS is where I stop. You do not know diner food until you have moved, far, far away from it. A meal of eggs over easy, sausage, home fries, and rye toast is ambrosia: a meal to dream of. I, of course, have to order extra sausage and toast, the gavone I am. But the way they do it, it’s worth the calories. I cannot emphasize how satisfying a simple breakfast meal is at Michaels, oh and finally being able to speak in my yank accent without drawing stares.

Good food all came out hot and within a reasonable time … Very good pricing and our waitress was really nice! I had a veggie panini with fries, pickles and coleslaw for just $ 7.95. Three of us had sandwiches and the entire bill was 25 dollars — not too shabby. I will definitely be back

I have been going to Michael’s Diner since I was 16 years old working at the Firestone dealer that used to be next store. Usually it is quite good. I went there on 9÷13÷2013 for lunch and got a Roast Turkey Sandwich which my wife and I have had there before and it is an actual roasted turkey sandwich not processed meat. This time it was a hunk of salty white stuff between two pieces of toast. The most horrible sandwich I have had in years. I am not sure what happened but it was terrible. My wife won’t trust the place again. I have little tolerance for saying it is roast turkey and throwing on crappy deli meat. Bad move Michael’s, that’s the way to turn away a 40 year customer. Tell me it is not roast turkey and I will pick something else !!! Btw don’t offer it as a special for the day as roast turkey either. THATWASJUSTPLAININSULTING !!!

Michael’s Diner is my go to place in Kingston when I’m driving through. They’re always open, they’re always nice and the food is always decent. They offer a huge menu with something for everyone. I usually opt for breakfast, but have enjoyed a number of sandwiches and burgers here as well. Their portions are huge and the prices low, so its a real win! They have awesome muffins, so get one toasted with butter especially the corn muffin, yum!!!

Very very good prices. I ordered a veggie omlette with feta, and substituted extra homefries for toast; $ 6.80! can’t cook for one’s self for cheaper! the omlette was large, not greasy. feta was good. the potato homefries were GREAT. they were equvalent to about 2.5 potatoes! haha, very generous portion. on a different trip to Michael’s, i ordered a cob salad with chicken; delcious and everything was fresh, which to me– is most important. chicken was juicy and tender. also, the owner(Michael?) was very hospitable and nice. Michael’s is my new fav. place for food down in the Kingston area.
