Roasted vegetable soup was one of the best I’ve ever had. There was a sweetness and complexity to it that you could only get from caramelizing the veggies in the oven beforehand, and it frankly blew my mind. I’d suggest you dine in, because for $ 7.50 you get a truly massive bowl of hot soup, plus it’ll give you a chance to chat with the very friendly owners. Highly recommended.

I agree, the potato leek soup is worth 5 stars, and with a cappuccino chiller this was a great find. We’re on our way south to NC and soup sounded good. Well worth getting off the highway for if you’re looking for a great soup. And the owner is a hoot.

This is one of my favorite places in Kingston. There is always a nice variety of frozen yogurt flavors. The fresh brewed iced tea is very good, and the soup is delicious. The owner/manager is super friendly and goes out of his way to ensure his customers are happy. The building is clean, airy, and well-kept. I also love their plants in the spring & summer.

Want a cold treat on a hot day or a savory soup? You have the best of both worlds here! The frozen yogurt is great. I like the chocolate froyo with health on top. Also, you must come in for lunch and try one of the delicious soups made from scratch daily. I usually check on Facebook what the soup specials are for the day. My favorite is the potato leek soup. I like that when I come in here it has a homey welcoming feel. John and his wife are always smiling and greeting their customers. A very nice atmosphere where you know you will be getting quality service.

So a long time ago(when I was a whee person), I used to go to TCBY near my house in Poughkeepsie. It was my favorite place. I loved the sugar cones with the sprinkles on the edges. Ice cream was pretty much my favorite food so of course I asked to come here all the time. Eventually all the TCBY’s around here started closing, and I pretty much gave up. I didn’t think there were anymore around so I didn’t bother looking for one. Le sigh. Then my friend and I were in Kingston and she casually turned to me and asked if I wanted to go to TCBY for ice cream. I told her all of them were closed, but then she told me there was one right off of Ulster Avenue. So we went. And it was still as awesome as I remember it. The ice cream(which is technically frozen yogurt) is actually bought by the TCBY distributor so it’s REALTCBY. They still have my beloved sugar cones with sprinkles-my nostalgia convinced me to get the chocolate chip cookie dough flavor in a sugar cone with chocolate dip and sprinkles on the edges. Still as good as I remembered! The really cool thing about this place is that it’s TCBY, but the owners add their own personal flavor. The plants outside and inside, as well as the decorations inside, are all their own. It has a kind of hippie vibe that makes it seem more homey. They also serve lunch specials and I hear they have amazing soups. So I guess I’ll have to come back and try something besides the frozen yogurt(well, I’ll probably get a cone for dessert). :)
