I shop at this Walmart all the time and it has improved somewhat over the years. The good;the grocery department has gotten a lot better with stock conditions, presentation and cleanliness. The Deli has the nicest, friendliest, people in the store and I have never had a bad experience except when they don’t have enough help. The hardlines and softlines are usually very neat, clean, and well signed. The bad;The meat department consistently sells questionable product, bad chicken, bloated packages on multiple occasions. over stacked product in the well freezers(defrosting). The garden department is an area that needs to be improved, rotting plants, high prices, unstaffed most of the time. The front end has gotten better over the years, but you are still dis-respected while spending over $ 100 on a regular visit. I refuse to ring up, and bag my own order while they are cutting employees hours(I know many employees who work there).STOPTAKINGYOURCUSTOMERSFORGRANTED.

This Wal-Mart location is huge and cavernous, yet, unfortunately staffed with unhelpful, ill-mannered characters. Aisles are often cluttered with pallets and other stocking equipment, making shopping uncomfortable and dangerous, too. It takes them forever to restock or replenish sold-out items or sizes. And if you grocery shop here at night or on weekends, forget it! The stockpeople block entire aisles, and very angrily treat the customers like nuisances if they should get in their way. The employees here are not too bright, but even they should have enough sense to realize that those pesty customers are why they are employed there in the first place.

This store is absolutely horrible. The lines are unreasonably long; the store is always dirty; and the employees are never helpful. Parking is never available and I would rather drive an hour to another Walmart then go to this store. Going to the Kingston Walmart is undoubtely STRESSFUL!

Although I tend to over-exceed my own personal limitations with this place, it never seems to excite me enough not to spend my money here. Despite not finding a pair of pants that were big enough for me yesterday(when trying to replace a pair of pants) that were my size(you didn’t have a pair that were even close to big enough to fit me), the trip was a success. I was able to find a few Easter items for my family here. Yes, I did overexceed my own«budgeted per trip» amount, but it was definitely for a good-cause! I do remember writing another review a few months ago, that the experience I had with your motorized scooter-shopping carts wasn’t fair to the user, but things seemed to have been corrected and I didn’t have much of a problem around most of the store, though getting a 4-slot wide-slot toaster from the top shelf was a bit of a hassle with no other employee around to help me. Yes, I normally do find employees«creeping» around the store, but not where you’d expect them to be at the time you are looking for help with something! Yes, this was Friday, but employees should be within calling distance if you want help with choosing things, and that’s something this(and all Wal-Marts lack).(If you want help, it’s best if you can make your own choices, and beyond that, you tend to tell yourself«Tough,» and purchase whatever you feel adequate enough to purchase, and that’s sometimes not possible). And that goes to show, too, of the experience I had when trying to find a few other things on my list yesterday. Yeah, they had the refill packs for the baby-wipes I was looking for(because the person’s skin is irratible I had to buy the Pampers Sensitive wipes), they did not have the tub-styled«packages» of the product. If you wanted a plastic outer container that you could just as easily had thrown away after you’re finished, there choices would have been easy to pick from. The other choices they did have, would have irritated the person’s skin in over-excess amounts. I’ll continue to go in, but this experience didn’t thrill me in the least

I don’t know why i keep going to Walmarts. I am rarely happy with any of them. This one was no exception. The parking lot was super crowded, the store was kind of unkempt. The register lines were super long. Unfortunately, I went here instead of the Target that was nearby.

As a general rule, I avoid Walmart like the plague. I refuse to support corporations that run small businesses into the ground and are proud of it. Sadly, I used to wind up at this Walmart once to twice a year if I needed to purchase things in bulk for work. It was never a good experience… this place is dirty, dingy and generally a huge mess with merchandise all over the place. The quality of the items carried here is generally pretty bad, from ugly clothing to dusty bottles of juice. There is always a long wait at the registers, and the clerks operating the registers seem either poorly trained or just don’t grasp how to do their jobs… of course, it doesn’t help that they are mistreated by the corporation they work for, with breaks denied, low pay and poor health benefits. How can a store that has a zillion departments in one big box location do anything well? I would never take my car there much less trust the vision department. I’ll pay more for a manicure at a business run by an esthetician and feel better about supporting a business that someone put a lot of work into, thank you very much. Why would anyone want to shop for anything at a location where birds are known to fly around and crap on people’s heads with the management doing nothing to stop it? That’s poor business and just plain unsanitary, especially at a location that sells food. Another reason to avoid the Kingston Walmart — the parking lot. It seems like it was poorly planned, and you’re lucky if you find a parking spot without nearly getting into an accident. It seems like the shining beacon that is Walmart makes some folks forget how to drive. My advice: Avoid Walmart and support your local businesses whenever possible.

A decent sized store. Deli counter was fast and friendly. Cashier however was not, even after I helped him with our reusable bags.

Let’s get down to it baby. This Wal-Mart SUCKS! You can’t just go «in & out» here. FIRST: It takes a good amount of time to find parking. SECOND: It’s not very clean when you go inside. Before you say that all Wal-Marts are dirty, I will cut you off and say BULLSHIT. You wanna see a clean one? Shake your ass to the Fishkill or Catskill location. At this rate, just visit one with«kill» in its’ location. THIRD: the aisles are REALLY narrow. You get the stink eye from someone coming in the other direction. FORTH: OPENMORELANES!!! There has to be 20 lanes and only 4 or 5 are open… ever. I’m glad to know that I can catch up on a chapter or two while waiting on their lines. Do you like shopping on a Tuesday at 1:49AM? No? Well that’s the only you will get through here in a flash. I’m talking turtle with two broken legs fast. BLLLAAAAGGH!!!

The money saved does not exceed the aggravation spent. Lines at this place, no matter when you go, are always long. At 1am they’ll have one register open with a line of people behind it. During the day, that same line at about 5 to 10 registers out of the 30 total registers that they have. Always lines, but at least they have self check out. Unfortunately it’s always closed though. Lines, lines, lines, lines, and more lines. If you’re ever in and out of this place, please take a picture. Next time I’m there, I’m posting a picture of a line. The one star is for entertainment. Walmart always had that«special» crowd that makes you feel like you walked into a free circus. Sometimes you feel bad for starring without first paying for a ticket.

The worse day to go shopping at Wal-Mart when your in a rush is of course in the day and later afternoon. It’s jam pack and the queue are ridiculously long at every register, even at the 25 or less item! And you would expect those lines to move fast too, but it’s as fast as the rest of the lines. I usually come around 11pm when it’s almost empty, but not really empty empty. The aftermath of their rush hours shows: boxes opened, seals broken, someone wanted free condoms, nail polish spilled all over the floor. It’s like hurricane katrina struck the place. Well, on the bright side, they do live up to the name of always having low price. But come on, people are still stealing from this place. Someone needs an upgrade in security.
