My experiences here have just been okay. It’s a nice, clean atmosphere inside and the cleanliness is very impressive. However, the ice cream is nothing special or unique. Some good flavors but nothing spectacular(it’s not homemade). Prices are on the high side for the location and quality considering it is not homemade. I decided to try a frappé one evening and was quite disappointed. It was very thin and therefore tasted very milky. Kind of annoyed I paid $ 5 for milk and chocolate chips. I want to support this new business but would not go out of my way to come here; nor can I say I would choose this over Memories. I hate to say it as I like to support new business. Maybe thicken up the frappes and lower the prices a bit and then I’ll consider re-trying.

While camping in the area we found«What a Scoop». We decided we wanted ice cream and found it a couple if miles away. The ice cream was awsome and I assume made locally. The serving size Is huge. The staff was very friendly and took the time to visit with us. Clearly this is a local favorite as they seemed to know everyone who came in. I highly recommended«What a Scoop» to anyone who finds them in the area.

Inconsistent service and mediocre ice cream. Doesn’t taste like its homemade and doesn’t have the wide variety that other shops have. If your looking for great homemade ice cream go to Memories Ice Cream down the street. In the mornings you can watch them making fresh ice cream through the window

Took my 6 year old daughter here for some ice cream the other day. Excellent variety and friendly staff. My daughter always asks to go here after school and we walk right over from DJ Bakie Elementary school. Would love to see some soft serve ice cream knowing that’s my biggest weakness.

What a wonderful addition to the Town of Kingston! My husband brought home my favorite, mint chocolate chip ice cream and had a sundae made to his liking. The staff were friendly and personable.

The BEST place in the area, probably in the entire Seacoast Region, that offers over 50 different flavors of New England ice cream. What’s The Scoop? should be your only choice and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. What’s The Scoop? offers a huge selection(over 50 flavors) ice cream, novelty ice cream pops, and other sweet treats. Want a customized sundae? What’s The Scoop will do it for you. Think of a banana split, loaded with chocolate ice cream, hot fudge sauce, topped with whipped cream, and cherries for topping. That’s a chocolate lover’s delight and What’s The Scoop will make it for you. You will be full after eating and not be disappointed with the flavor or taste. What’s The Scoop?, newly renovated from the former Jimmy Lee’s Ice Cream, is extremely clean and freshly painted. The countertops are clean, nothing on the floors… just looks like a sparkling clean place. Picnic tables outside to sit and enjoy your favorite ice cream. The What’s The Scoop? staff are extremely friendly, helpful, sociable, knowledgeable, and courteous. The prices are just right and very affordable. What’s The Scoop? is seasonal and open mid Spring up until Columbus Day. I HIGHLY recommend What’s the Scoop.
