Great little local market. We shop at all the local markets when we stay in Poipu as we find each of them have something we especially like. At Kukui’ula we especially like the deli, the bentos and fresh fruits. They can also have great local fish sometimes too.

fabulous local market… we find it works out quite a bit cheaper for the small trips than to go into town to shop at Costco or Safeway… they also have a lot more«smaller» sizes so you’re not leaving behind those«deals» from the bigger stores… the selection is usually pretty good.

My husband and I had an awesome camping 10 days trip around the Kauai island this June. After being on Maui we fell in love with acai bowls :) so after arriving to Kauai this summer acai bowl was one of the first things we got. We were camping around the whole island and tried 80% of acai bowls there. The winner is the Kukuiula market! Thanks a lot for accommodation to our complicated orders! I follow vegan diet based on Eret’s nutrition principles and they kindly substituted a lot of ingredients for me. We are coming back in November and will make sure we have enoug acai bowls to keep us fed till the next visit :) Folks please add some simple flax seed crackers to the selection of crackers you have:)

Juice was ok. Too heavy on lime, couldn’t taste anything else.

Awesome juice. So fresh and tasty. They don’t even put ice in their drinks. You only taste the ingredients that go into it.

Local family-run market in Poipu. You will likely see the owner there working. Nice juice /smoothie bar in the back. Small sushi bar as well. One of the few places where I have found at least some gluten-free and organic options.

We stayed in the area for a week. Going there to get our green juice among other snacks was one of our morning routines. Everyone was so friendly and super helpful. One of the ladies we saw ever day has to be the hardest working woman I’ve known. She’s there when we were there in the morning, and still there at sunset working. Love her homemade variety of hot food items ranging from rice and toppings to corn dogs. Grocery wise, you will find pretty much everything you need here with organic or local grown options. Skip the big chain stores and go here to support one of the few locally owned businesses.

If you are a vegan or vegetarian looking for groceries in Poipu, skip the attitude at Living Foods and support a family owned grocer across the street that has a fantastic selection of animal-free foods. Even tofu poke! Go to the back of the store by the juice bar for tempeh, tofu, and things like vegan coconut curry. The usual Amy’s products are available, and some staples with a Hawaiian twist, like hummus made from taro. For those that eat fish, the is also an in-house fresh sushi counter.

Great little local market in Poipu beach among the giant resorts and vacation homes. Yes it is expensive. But they have almost as many gluten free snacks as would a whole foods! Combine that with friendly staff, an in-house juice bar(wrote review separately for that little gem), and a fresh sushi bar, it was really our go-to for beach/hiking snacks.

Thanks Paul and Terri for always having a great selection of local and organic foods! They’ve also got a juice bar inside along with a new sushi bar… Great little market!

While waiting to order dinner from Da Crack went inside the market. Was not impressed with their produce section. High priced cut fruits. No local fruits like pineapple/mango/papaya. It was mostly melon/berries. Good for buying frozen entrees, packaged noodle boxes.

Found online that this market sells all-natural fresh juice, so hubby and I walked from Koa Kea Resort for a treat. An easy walk that’s a little less than a mile, I believe. Our freshly prepared items were so good that we sat outside in front of the store, enjoyed a little picnic, and then we went back to buy more juice and smoothies!(Storefront is all concrete sidewalk and asphalt parking lot.) Hubby had an all-fruit smoothie(pineapple, mango, etc) and a fruit bowl(blended fresh fruit topped with granola & other good stuff). I had 2 different veggie juices as well as a pineapple-mango smoothie. We grazed on our second and third round of goodies at a larger nearby shopping mall that had a farmer’s market w/live music. The girls who helped us were personable and helpful, letting us know that we could customize our smoothies and juices. Go there with patience… These juices/smoothies are made-to-order. The 2nd time we went in, a long-ish line developed, but three lovely young ladies worked quickly to get all the orders out. High-end Breville juicer is used for the juices. Looked like Vitamixes are used for smoothies. Impressive how all fruit is pre-measured – refrigerated in baggies – so the girls just grab a number of different baggies from frig and empty into blender for smoothies or fruit bowls. Do not go here if you’re looking for bargain-basement prices. Freshly prepared whole-food juices/smoothies are labor intensive and expensive. Well worth the prices. I will DEFINITELY return for fresh juices and smoothies when we stay at Koa Kea again!

Underwhelming. On my 2 visits, left the store because they were out of the items I sought. Half empty shelves throughout the store. Recommend the Big Save in Koloa if you’re stocking up on groceries for the week.

Small little Market with random goodies. Not much of a selection, but they have some organic items and lots of snacks. Some really healthy things and of course, some unhealthy ones if you need a cookie fix or what have you. I went in mainly for the juice bar in the back.
