Unfortunately I had to even give this place a star. The service was horrible. There was not a happy hour either. Would not reccomend this place to anyone.

Stopped for a quick lunch on way to Austin airport. Wanted something other than fast food and saw this location as I drove past another restaurant. I usually avoid places that try to do both Japanese and Chinese fare but lacking other options I decided to break my rule. I was seated promptly since they appeared to be post lunch rush. The server brought me water and a menu and gave me a few minutes. I selected the basil shrimp in a brown sauce with steamed brown rice($ 1 up charge), a vegetable egg roll and added a small hot & sour soup. The server returned with my egg roll and soup. The soup was hot(always a plus) and had a nice balance of hot and sour. The egg roll was very mediocre and had probably been sitting on the warming station a while. The server cleared my plates and returned with my main. The dish had green peppers in it even though the menu said red peppers, I know it is a little nuts but I like red bell peppers but do not like green. So I picked the peppers out and dove in. Overall the dish had a good flavor, was a nice lunch portion, and I enjoyed. The rice portion was a tad skimpy but I need to cut back on carbs. The service was adequate but I was never asked how my food was and had to ask for my water to be refilled.

The restaurant definitely feels more like a Chinese restaurant than a sushi place. The sushi is so-so. Their Chinese food is par but acceptable since there isn’t too many restaurant in Kyle.

Generally unimpressed. I’m not sure I trust that they are following food handler protocol. I’ve seen at least two people exit the kitchen into the dining area with mouthfuls of food. There are piles of clutter at the bar area and what looks to be like employee or un-bussed beverages at the bar. Waiting at the bar for a to-go order isn’t appealing due to the clutter and it seems to be an employee gathering place. The tv is on static. Does anyone care about the appearance of this place? On top of that, the food is expensive for the quality. Won’t return again.

The prices are a little high for the amount of food you get BUT the food itself is always very tasty and their sushi is AWESOME! I always get the caterpillar roll and my husband loves the orange chicken and shrimp fried rice and the wonton soup is also really yummy!

Great food but their phone is always off the hook when I call to order. Get another line if it’s that busy

DONOTEATHERE! I got very, very sick from the sushi and the miso soup is very sour and strange. It is dirty and expensive.

We sat down and the table was sticky… not cool. The first impression was that cleanliness was lacking. I ordered Miso soup and it was terrible. It was salty with an overpowering sour taste. I let the waiter know so hopefully they wouldn’t punish any other customers with the foulness. He was a nice young man that sorta shrugged and said«that’s our Miso soup», I don’t think that is something I would brag about. The Chinese entrée came with egg rolls. That was good. We didn’t order sushi, at $ 14 per roll I wasn’t about to risk it. Anytime there is General Tsos on a sushi menu it is questionable. Almost as questionable as sushi at a Chinese buffet. If I am going to polish off $ 50 in sushi it will be at a place that doesn’t say«thats our miso soup» after serving you a bowl of something that can be loosely compared to warm horse urine. Don’t ask me how I would know that. The wait for the food was long. They brought the entrees before the fried rice companion dish. So hungry kids and myself wolfed down the entrees and the rice was a waste. The lo mien chicken was bland. The sesame chicken was very good. The Mongolian beef was decent(better if we had some rice). The service was friendly but the kitchen was a bit incompetent. The shame is that this place has potential. Right now they don’t care and it shows. They did bring out extra egg rolls for the rice mishap. They put themselves in a price range that elevates the expectations, that is the reason for this brutally honest review. I really liked the server. Very friendly young man.

Listen to the other bad reviews. I didn’t and I regretted it. Bad food, high prices, bad service.

First of all, waited 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us being here. Got our drinks after the eggrolls were served. Never got our appetizer. And the service is horrendous! We will never come back…

Don’t be deceived by the rating that it has now, this restaurant absolutely deserves 5 stars without a question!!! This is the 3rd time I’ve been here and every single time the food, service, and atmosphere has been fantastic. Let me start off by mentioning the owner/manager I believe he is. Immediately as you walk into the place he is there to greet you with a warm welcome. Right Off that bat that tells me what great place this is by the way they treat each customer, and that doesn’t stop there. I’ve been given complimentary appetizers during the short time I’ve waited for my meal, easy substitutions, and if there was any problem they were not hesitant to change it up. Now let me get to the food. This time around I ordered the Tiger Eye roll ®, Red Devil roll, and the love roll. All rolls were made with amazing freshness and superb taste. The rolls were pretty big too, so don’t let your eyes overcome your stomach. It’s not just a traditional sushi/Chinese place. The atmosphere is just different and keeps you coming back. A place with great food, great service, and a great management staff is hard to find, especially around a small town area. So come on in and enjoy this wonderful restaurant.

Tried to call order young lady answered phone was very unprofessional. Was laughing and playing around with another employee in the background. When i tried to pay with card over the phone was told they didnt take cards over the phone. Refused to let me speak with a manager or someone who was in charge. Began to laugh even more when i questioned the cc policy in which i have never heard of from any restaurant. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on recommend you do the same. Very poor customer service.

The food is good but the owner is so cheap with bad customers service.(Money hungry) I ordered a extra plate of food to go and accidentally left it on the table. When I went back to get it(3 minutes later) he said I will have to pay for another one because he threw it away(lied) WTF! If it wasn’t for the waiter holding it for me to come back and get it, it would of have been a really big problem there! I was a regular… I’ve never been back!

Do not go here. Dirtiest restroom I have ever seen in an eatery. Booths were filthy. Stained gross fabric. I had the lunch sashimi, barely edible. Miso was flat out gross saltwater. Rolls were way to expensive for what you receive and it was just dirty. The kind of dirty that makes you not want to touch anything. Flies and fruit flies were everywhere. I will be contacting the board of health as soon as I finish this sentence.

My go to sushi place in Kyle!!! I read a lot of really mean, rude reviews and most were just ridiculous. I gave it 4 starts based on two things, it’s a good sushi place in KYLE and the friendly service. Put down the fried food next time and try a roll!

I looked forward to meeting family here and visiting over a meal. As we arrived, the dining room on our left had a real motorcycle inside for sale. No folks could sit there. The main dining room had only one booth available. All others were occupied or dirty — mostly dirty. Booths and tables alike. Napkins were being folded on one of the tables. The place just looked unkept! Food. Three of us ordered the Chinese lunch special. Food was good. Not fabulous or memorable, but good. My husband ordered the sashimi lunch special. Fish was not fresh. Not crisp. Mushy. A little slick. Not really cold. The bathrooms were stacked with empty CO2 canisters from the soda fountain. As we left, we noticed mops, yellow mop buckets and a chest freezer outside! Really? This is a nice, relatively new strip center. I don’t get it.

I’ve been to this place several times and frankly vowed I would never be back. But thanks to the traffic snarl and tiredness, we came back. The food was much better this time. I would say 3.5 stars except for the cleanliness. The booth we were to be sat at had trash and dirt all around the base. Then the waiter dropped our straws. Albeit they were paper wrapped, but still — it’s the thought. Third times a charm so this place has won me back.

We’ve eaten here a handful of times. They’re friendly so I’ve convinced my girlfriend to give them a 2nd… and a 3rd… even a 4th chance to get Chinese food right. Doesn’t look like it’ll happen. Soggy shrimp and crunchy, undercooked rice just don’t cut it. Sorry but when it comes to cooking rice correctly with an Asian inspired menu, you should have that spot on. As for the shrimp, it was a somewhat soggy and slimy consistency. Combine this with the crunchy undercooked fried rice and it’s an… interesting meal for sure. Out of the handful of times we’ve eaten there since they’ve opened, the one thing that I can say they do fine is the spare ribs. They’re a bit greasy but they still have that tangy back flavor that you’d expect. Can’t say that I’ll eat here again but I may give their new bar a shot.
