Firehouse Subs

My office manager went to get us lunch, came back with the pre made box lunch. I guess they make them pretty far ahead of time and let them sit, huge chunk of mold on one of the sandwiches. Disgusting.

We were having lunch today at Firehouse and saw the owner (I know because I asked who she was) treating the staff in a rude manner. I hope the young guy finds a better job. Will not be coming back.

I would venture to say it’s okay for fast food. Acceptable. What I do have an issue with is that it’s not fast food. The orders take a while to come out which is surprising for the assembly line concept. I guess when the guy making the food also runs the food to the table that takes away from the rhythm. The tables are rarely wiped which also allows for an average experience.

Ok, now THIS is a good sandwich shop! There are 3 at that same intersection and the other 2 are nothing special – just need a sandwich. Firehouse, however, stands out. We’ve been there several times when we need something quick, it’s very clean, the staff is super friendly – they really seem to enjoy their jobs. I can’t not order the meatball sub, it is HEAVEN! The bread is soft and fresh, TONS or options for hot sauce and they have one of those soda machines that make you kid faint with happiness (cherry, vanilla Dr. Pepper? Sure! Peach, cherry, grape, vanilla Fanta? Heck yes!) Great place, I love it, no reason to go to the other sandwich shops.

I love coming here. Every time I have I leave feeling satisfied. Staff is always welcoming and check up on you even when they are busy. Construction started making noise next door. A lady worker rushed out there to put a stop to it. I will be back. Subway is dog food compared to the food and service here! Thanks Kyle, Tx!
&& my Sandwich originally didn’t come with lettuce tomatoes & onions. They simply added it with no extra charge. Awesome!!!

Firehouse subs are soooo good especially the italian sub. However, we rarely go because it seems expensive for a sandwich in my opinion. Its a great choice for dinner when you have lots of people over because everyone can get what they want and no cooking or cleanup for you!

Good food, great service. This location is a well run franchise. Awesome selection of hot sauces.

The first time I came here I got the meatball sub and it was mediocre. I decided to give it another try and got the Big Hero Sub this time around and it was amazing. The first bite I took was heavenly and made up for the first disappointing time I had the sandwich. Definitely would come back.

Best damn sandwhich you can get in Kyle! Consistent quality and good overall employee interaction. Get the Captain Sorensen’s sauce and drench your sandwhich in it. It is AMAZING.

Really fresh and fast! I tried the New York steamer. I frequent NY very often through the year and always make sure I get my corned beef and pastrami fill. This sandwich was really good! I liked there mixture dressing. deli mustard, mayo and Italian dressing. It was fresh and very flavorful. My other half had a smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket. I took a few bites and that had tons of flavor also! Really good! Like all the other reviews said, there is a soda machine to create your own flavor. They have a rack at the end of the counter with about 50 different sauces to pour on what you will. Place was clean, staff was friendly and they served with a smile! They have one TV if you’d like. It’s kinda small but there weren’t many people inside. I seemed to be one of the many who was walking in and taking it to go. You order just like you do at Subway and the chips are in the same spot. It was our first time trying Firehouse and we WILL be back!

Everyone was super friendly, the place was very clean and the sandwiches were delicious.

I’ve never been to Firehouse Subs before, but when in need of a bite and faced with Taco Bell or Carl’s Jr. I noticed this place nearby and thought I’d give it a try. I’m glad I did!
The staff was efficient and friendly.
The restaurant was clean and inviting.
The sub was delicious!!! Light, fluffy wheat bread, melt in your mouth meat, fresh veggies and a mega soda machine with so many options I got a little confused!
I will definitely come back again when I’m feeling the need for a sub.

Food is good, staff is friendly, and establishment is clean. I will say prices are on the high side and it does take a bit to get your food. But all and all I recommend it.

As always the service is good, the tea is better and the sandwiches are great!
The sweet tea is super sweet and really good! Don’t forget to check out the stash of sauces on the counter, they Baru from honey mustard to a buffalo style hot sauce to Thai sauce to Tennessee bbq sauce. Yum!

Good sandwiches and nice people.

Far superior to any sandwich shop out there! Their bread is melt in your mouth, and their combinations of meats and cheeses is spot on! I recently tried the limited time pork and slaw and was not disappointed. If I had to list a negative, it would be that whoever ranks the hot sauces, clearly does not understand what hot actually is.

Love this location friendly people good service. This Sub shop is tasty, and the hearty & flavorful menu is pretty good too.
This sub shop has a drink machine with 120+ drink choices and a sauce bar that can make you drool if your like me and love spicy sauces. The sauce bar goes in a ranking from 1 – 10.
Great place to have a nice lunch alone or with someone. TV is going and usually here in Kyle it’s easy to spark up a conversation with you me neighbor.

Food and service are great, and cleanliness of food area seems excellent. My complaint is that the restrooms which were previously separated by gender have suddenly been made into mixed gender bathrooms. This is really unpleasant for women who have to use the bathroom after a man, who leaves the lid up, splashes the floor and leaves the toilet unflushed. I’m sorry to say that men do this very frequently, and it makes using the restroom in public places a nasty experience for women. Firehouse Subs: Please can you rectify this?

So, I was headed home from work at lunch and called to see if I could pick up lunch for the family. My kids wanted Subway. That worked because I needed to stop by UPS to mail something.
I walked into Subway and the line was 19 deep. I waited for about 5 minutes, but when I looked down and saw that a beetle was cutting me off in line. and then I looked around and saw 5 – 6 dead bugs on the floor, I decided to try out the Firehouse Subs.
I walked into Firehouse and it was incredibly clean… and not busy. I walked right to the counter. I told the lady at the register what happened to me and she said «I know, those are bad. Those beetles are everywhere. we’ve had them here but make sure to get them right away.»
So I asked about lunch specials. They didn’t have any, but she directed me to the Facebook page to check and let me know the Money Mailer had coupons as well, but they didn’t have any on hand. That was above and beyond the call I thought… and I liked it.
So I ordered my kiddos a large Ham sub with specific ingredients on it and they nailed it. For future reference, I could have ordered a medium as they each only at ¼ of the sandwich… it was A LOT of sandwich… and the honey ham was a hit with the kiddos.
I decided to try the Thai Chili on wheat. I ordered a medium and it was delicious. I could have eaten half and been satisfied.
Extra bonus for the soda machine being one of those 50,000 combination ones. AND for having those cool plastic fireman’s hats for the kiddos.
We will definitively be back… and hopefully the kiddos will ask me for Firehouse next time instead of Subway. It cost a little bit more ($ 8 for a large, $ 6 for a medium) but the amount and quality of the food along with the cleanliness of the restaurant made it totally worthwhile.

I think I accidentally came here during a grand opening or something, it was pure insanity with children everywhere. Not factoring that into my review, just an observation.
I got a pretty solid sandwich. It was good, it was tasty. Similar set up to every other sandwich shop, with a heavy gimmick-​ish sprinkling of firefighters themes.
I would go back again.
