The bakery goods taste like they’ve been sitting out for a week. $ 2 for most all foods you would buy on the spot and certainly not worth it. Don’t know about the stuff you buy for home but don’t go there for eating an individually served dish.

Occasionally, I crave for Armenian pasteries so i come to this place to satisfy my needs. They have a variety of pasteries, but the Nazooks are the real deal. Come at 10 am and you’ll get the freshest Nazooks(only $ 5) for about a dozen. I understand why others are frustrated with the costumer service, but realize that this is not Starbucks or Ralphs where they have multiple employees with quotas to meet. This is a mom and pop bakery that’s doing a great job at producing quality desserts at reasonable prices.

This bakery has amazing Nazook! Its fresh out the oven around 10am and the bread is amazing as well. I go here at least once a week and enjoy every bit! If you love warm bakery, go around 10am.

see photo of $ 1.50 apple turnover. perfect for your diet — less filling. a shame since the pastry was crisp and flaky, not soft and soggy. at least the countergirl said«hello» and«thank you.» perhaps they make something good but this wasn’t it.

This place has potential. They need someone in there that speaks ENGLISH and knows the items they sell. Every time I go, the service is mediocre. I only get 1 item most times there. CREAMPUFFS! The cream inside is to die for and that’s why on occasion I return. Unfortunately they are always different in size from 1 visit to the next but the price stays the same. Whenever I ask about any other items to possibly try, they can’t even tell me what they are or what’s inside. The signs in front of them are mislabeled… The day I went last the cream puffs price and sign said they were Eclairs. The French bakery in Kenneth Village in Glendale is the best I know locally(within a few miles) so far. They have more FRENCH items too and less ARMENIAN. If its in the title of your company name you should sell it more then anything else in my opinion. Get someone in there that speaks English and can sell your stuff, you’ll have more business!

To me this place deserves 4 or more stars. Just buy their Nazook for 5 bucks. You’ll love this bakery. Very very good. the best nazook ever. My hubby really likes their napoleon. small one for 1.25, bigger one for 1.75 It’s good. If you have a sweet tooth, yeah, get a big one, and it’ll be all yours. I’m coming back to try their cakes and low sugar nazook. I heart this place. There’s no good bakery around this area. I agree there isn’t much friendly service in this bakery. But you know what? this bakery was open till 11 something pm. These guys work hard and bake good stuff. You don’t pay tips you don’t buy service from bakery. I really would like to recommend all people to enjoy what they endeavor for. By the way, the opposite of this bakery is the back door bakery in Sunland. They are very friendly people and overcharge you and the cream puffs were awful. For three pastries my hubby paid 11 bucks. HELLO??? So I heart heart this french bakery which is not really french.

here’s my beef with this place. i came here on two occasions and felt that the store was pretty empty. what the hell do i buy here? the lady wasn’t really helpful and i look around and everything looks… like it’s been there for a while. i finally picked a few things like croissants and a baguette and some pastries. nothing really stood out and i felt like i had to work so hard to get something. perhaps i’ll give it another try. since someone mentioned that they have armenian stuff too, maybe i’ll go back to try those. i love armenian baked goods.

I went to this bakery for the first time today, and I’ll definitely return. I parked right in front of the store, and a kind older man helped us. He didn’t speak English well, but pointed to the cakes in the refrigerator, so we bought those. I also couldn’t resist the apricot pastry cookies, so I got that too. We had enough to feed a whole bunch of people, but it only cost $ 11. I studied in France in college, and these desserts were the real deal, especially the apricot ones. I highly recommend this. Besides, it’s across the street from another fave, Ce Fiore.

French Bakery: Armenian owned, and they sell Armenian stuff too like meat filling pastries So this Bakery is the closest one to my house. My experience there today was not so pleasant. The lady behind the counter had this angry mood face when I came in. you know… usually, if you own a bakery, you want to build good customer relations(especially if your bakery happens to be in a suburban area). Well… she was very uninviting. A smile wouldn’t hurt. This was certainly the worst service I have ever experienced at a bakery. On top of that, I think i might have gotten jipped! I told her i wanted the chocolate cake, and the sign said it was $ 1.00. But then, when she came, she moved the sign, and said… «it’s $ 1.25. the sign was for something else». 25 cents is nothing, but the lack of organization leaves something to be desired. Setting my personal bias aside, perhaps I should talk about their pastries. Well… make sure you never order their eclairs. they were pretty boring. The counter lady told me they were custard(crème patissiere) filled, but that was not accurate. Excuse me, there is a HUGE difference between custard and cream. Their cakes are a little better… they are pretty moist and such, but I’m not sure how fresh the ingredients are… the cherry on top of my white/cherry cake was canned. Their cakes are pretty moist… but that’s the best thing i can say about them. The chocolate cake was the best thing i tried there… but I suspect I could have had just as good of a cake had I gone to Vons. Personally they were too sweet for me. They do make a large variety of cookies… Parking is limited, careful when you’re baking up.
