Good beer, good wings. KFC has better hot wings though. Slow service. Disappointing entrees. Little flavor from«Asian» salad. Hot beef n gravy was brown, salty and served cool. Yuck. Oh ya, they are now out of business. No big loss.

Great wings & wacky fun staff(thanks Chloe). Good flat screen coverage, decent pizza. Too bad it closed!

This place sucks. It smelled like a wet towel inside and my table was oily. Nothing my party of three ordered even remotely tasted good. There was ice in my fries. No seriously, ice. Skip it.

The first time my husband & myself came here it was for lunch. There were hardly any people at the time & we were served fairly quickly. Cocktails were ok, beer was ok, and the appetizer flatbread was decent. We decided to try again a couple of weeks ago also during lunch, but this time the place was packed with a sports team on their way back from a tourney & it was a madhouse. We sat in the bar in a still dirty booth, waited for 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us, and then walked out. There are many other places to go in that neighborhood, I suggest not wasting your lunchbreak by going here & waiting ½ hour to get served.

I ordered nachos off of the happy hour menu — and when I asked the waitress to add grilled chicken to the order, I was told that it would be a «hassle» for the cooks to fulfill my request and that it couldn’t be done. When I go to a restaurant — I don’t want to be told that I am inconveniencing the staff. I am paying you to cook my food, and if I want to add chicken to my meal… you should do it. Because I’m paying you to do it. Also, when the meal was delivered — most of the cheese wasn’t even melted. Not impressed.

I love this place & been here quite a few times. When I’m craving chicken strips, or good dinner salad, this is where I go!

Service was good. French Fries were hot and good… um…soda was good, but that’s all I liked about my meal. The husband and I split a Smokehouse Sandwich and a Native Stripper Platter. The Smokehouse Sandwich was a grilled chicken breast, ham, bacon, BBQ sauce and crispy onion strips on a Ciabatta. For being a messy good looking sandwich, it was a dry flavorless disappointment. At one point I was second guessing on whether or not I was coming down with a cold because there’s no way a sandwich with this remarkable combination of ingredients could have such little flavor that I was experiencing. Second the Native Stippper basket, a plate of 5 chicken strips in your choice of sauce(we chose Mandarin Orange) fries and coleslaw. I know coleslaw can be made a hundred different ways but this coleslaw tasted as though it had been sitting out on the counter for a few days. The chicken strips were dry, and the sauce was extremely salty, and not very«orange-ish» If the chicken wasn’t so dry I might consider trying a different sauce, but I don’t intend to go back as it just left me feeling like I had eaten dinner in a cafeteria.

The food was beyond awesome! The waitress was very nice and funny, the staff were polite, and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. Only downside is that the wings didn’t necessarily taste what was ordered(ordered honey mustard wings, tastes like regular BBQ sauce with a hint of jalepeño). Overall, I’d definitely go back, just not next weekend(like to change it up weekly lol).

Haven’t tried this place in a while thought I would give it another shot and sorry I did. First it took 10 mins to even get acknowledge by the waitress she brought us our drinks and disappeared. They seemed to be having a good time back in the kitchen with all the laughing and carrying on. A few mins later she came back and took our order. The entrees were okay not great by any means. We had the loaded fries that was awful it tasted like they had taken left over fries and put them in the fryer again. Full of grease and tasted nasty. Anyhow we won’t be going there again.

I have been to this place at least 10 times on different days and times. Every time I have been there the food is ok but the service and employees are terrible. I have watched everything from waiters walk around drinking red bull and nursing hangovers to waiters hiding from guest so they don’t have to tell them that your food is STILL in the kitchen. Everything I have seen here is purely the lack of management making the employees work. The food may be ok but if the service and staff is terrible it is not worth bearing.

I’ve tried, several times, to have a good time at the Native New Yorker. First, there’s nothing in the place that says New York, except for maybe the terrible service. I’ve been 4 times and each time I’ve had a bad experience with the last being the worst. Most recent experience, terrible inattentive service, dirty tables and seating, a really nasty sticky floors, cold food, expensive beer(compared to others places nearby), and I was told to quiet down on a Sunday afternoon while watching football and cheering for my team. Honestly, I wasn’t vulgar or disruptive and I only cheered during good plays. The manager? not sure because he looked like some college kid who hadn’t showered or shaved in days, did comp us our entire meal, including 6 drinks we had between 3 people. But, after that experience plus other bad experiences, I can’t and won’t go back. The food was always questionable, with sauces tasting inadequate, cold under-done sandwiches, bland food, and unsavory salads. However, the wings are good, but not the best, not even for the area and no reason to go out of your way to get wings. 4 trips, 3 questionable experiences, 1 bad experience.

Came here in search of Beef on Weck, wings and Haddock fish. Found all three! Just like being back home in Buffalo, NY!!! One of my dining companions was from Long Island and wanted real NY style pizza… she was very pleased with Native New Yorker’s pizza. EXCELLENT service! Our waitress looked like Kirsten Dunst(didn’t catch her name) and she was just lovely and quick to get refills on sodas. Food was very good!!! I would have preferred if my roast beef on my beef on weck was more rare(it was very well done) but my husband and friend both said they like well done beef so they thought the sandwich was perfect. Even well done beef, the sandwich was pretty good(could have used horseradish to be authentic). Was a delight to have haddock fish on west coast! Wings were pretty good. Complaints? The women’s bathroom was FILTHY. It was a quiet Sunday afternoon, no reason bathroom should be that nasty. I wish Native New Yorker was closer to Seattle/Bellevue!!! A long drive down but one worthwhile occasionally to meet my craving for real NY style food!

NEWYORKINSUBURBIA (3 stars) How do you write a mediocre review for a mediocre place? Like this… — Food, okay — Prices, average — Service, good — Ambiance, restaurant/bar grill My H.S. friends and I were in for the holidays. We were bored out of our minds because everybody we knew were sleeping on a weeknight since they work in the morning. Her brother who currently lives in NY was also in town and said we should get drunk to kill time and to go drink at the Native New Yorker Restaurant. HEFFER-STYLESTATUS. LOADEDSTEAKFRIES — tasty things. Goes well to much on when your drinking. CRANBERRYDRINK — It didnt have a name. But it was basically a long island ice tea but with cranberry. the drinks here were yummy ANDSTRONG because we left to another bar and I was buzzed. Will I be back? When i’m stuck in suburbia again, i’ll make sure to come back and get drunk.

Bruschetta was excellent! We all ordered the Sirloin steak. 1 with a Caesar salads on the side and one with a clam chowder. The salads and the soup were all served just a few microseconds before the meal. The Caesars were served with a mound of tomatoes and mozzarella cheese with the dressing on the side(not tossed). I ordered my steak with fries but it also came with a baked potato(and a few fries). The waiter said they made the potato by mistake and sent it with the meal rather than throwing it away which is fine. The steaks were all cooked to the proper temperature. There was some fat on the edges which is usually trimmed at other restaurants. My steak had a good flavor too it. Though there were a few minor issues that could be improved, overall it was a pleasant dining experience.

This is a review for their wings only. We came for their Tuesday special — $.39 wings with the purchase of a beverage. We tried several different varieties: hot, suicide, Oriental garlic, spicy honey mustard, and BBQ hot. Our favorite, by far, was the suicide! They’re really not as hot as the name suggests. On a scale of 10, I’d give it a 8.5 in hotness, which is perfect for me. SUPERYUMMYWINGS(if you get the suicide flavor)! The«hot» flavor is not even remotely spicy and is super salty. They also have about 30 flat screen TV’s throughout the restaurant showing all kinds of sports.

I hate giving bad reviews, but I feel a moral obligation to warn my fellow Unilocalers who may like traditional buffalo wings or actually be from New York to avoid this place. The waiters were very nice and the service was good, but the food was profoundly disappointing. Wings are a food to enjoy only occasionally if you would like to live past 45, so if you are like me, you want good bang for your calorie buck. The wings(traditional, medium) had no flavor or heat and were greasy. I am still seriously entertaining the notion that perhaps they forgot to put the sauce on them in the kitchen. To add insult to injury, the wings were served with ranch dressing, zut alors! Even the ranch dressing lacked flavor. You may ask yourself: «Is this bleu cheese? is this mayonnaise? is this ranch? how did I get here? this is not my beautiful house. this is not my beautiful wife!» As a result of my dining experience I’m considering moving back to New York and opening a restaurant called Native Washingtonian where I serve salmon from a can.

My fiancé and I were overall pleased with the food that we ordered. We ordered soft drinks, an appetizer and burgers. We had their garlic cheesy bread. Was hoping it would be more crispy instead of soft bread but was ok. My fiancé didn’t enjoy the dipping sauce for the bread. It was sort of a marinara sauce. I had their BBQ burger and it was good. Fiancé had the burger sliders and ordered the curly fries instead of the steak fries that they normally come with. That is where they lost two stars. They brought her the regular fries. We had three people come over ask if things were alright and still didn’t bring us the correct fries. Our waiter was slow and didn’t make sure things were correct. I should also say that he took awhile to come take our drink orders. Since we had time we had made an appetizer decision and meal decision. We barely gave our drink order out and was leaving. I barely got in our appetizer order in, and he nearly messed that up. They did take 20 percent off our order for making us wait so long and messing up order. It took us nearly two hours for an appetizer and burger. We will be back because we enjoyed the food but didn’t enjoy the service our waiter gave us. My fiancé’s cousin was there too with a different waiter and they sat down after us and were out before us. I also want to try their wings the next time I go. Plus, since they’ve only been open a month, I’d give them another try. They do have plenty of big flat screen TVs although have to strain your neck to see more than one or two at a time. The layout of this location has never been the best.

I’ve been in here three times now, and that’s about enough. I really want to give this place one star, but the fact that the bar carries Pinacle whipped cream vodka gives them one up. First time we came, it was with a group of three. It was a quiet Tuesday night, yet the host/hostess was nowhere in sight. We sat ourselves in the bar, and it took us 15 minutes(no lie, I timed it) to flag a waiter down. There were about three other tables occupied in the ENTIRE place, and there seemed to be about four too many servers who were too busy playing on their cell phones in the back. Yeah, totally saw them while trying to flag one down. Ended up only ordering drinks before heading out early. Not a good way to get repeat customers. Considering this place just opened, I decided to give it another go. Went back with my bestie for wings. Service wasn’t any better, except this time it was packed. There wasn’t enough servers for how busy it was, and everyone could tell. I was more patient this time. The sauces are unique(strawberry is unique to me!), and I ordered five of each kind. Was looking forward to the spicy garlic before being told they had run out for the night. When the wings arrived(45 minutes later, I also timed this)… it was just an awful mess. The wings were crunchy with no meat on the inside. Skimpy, crispy, tasted like I was eating fried chicken bones covered in sauce. Third time was no better. When the waiter didn’t show up with our water twenty minutes into seating us(he didn’t even take our order yet), we decided that it was time to leave. The place was empty. If it was busy, I’d understand. But it was empty. I’d rather drive to Tacoma and eat at wingers than eat here again. Better yet, I’d rather go buy some microwaveable wings than try Native New Yorker again.

I liked the Native New Yorker. I went before they were open and still getting a few kinks worked out, but my experience was overall pleasant. My burger was a bit overdone, but it was a training night, so it was expected. That was the only thing that wasn’t spot on though. My server was excellent, always right there whenever we needed something and the whole restaurant was filled with TVs which was awesome!(they even had TVs at the urinals!) All in all, it was a good experience and I’ll definitely return!
