Tonelli’s Takeout

Food is great service is good. But the delivery time is horrible. It shouldn’t take an hour and an some change to deliver to somebody that’s not even a mile away.

Owner made good on his promise. Our fries and pizza were hot and delicious. We will always cone back, but it’s even better when it’s hot.
If you are new to the area or have been in the area a long time, go here. Great food!

This place was great a few years ago. Poor management. The place seems to be run by high school kids. Last time I went they said 30 mins for pickup up which I could understand. When I got there they gave my order away to someone else so I had to wait another 20 mins. The owner is a nice guy but he needs to be more hands on. Recommendation: DON’T LET 14 YEAR OLDS RUN YOUR PLACE

I’ve lived in Lafayette Hill for about 3 years now & we’ve been to Tonelli’s for strictly pizza, stomboli’s & wings. Pizza is what pizza places do well, right? Well yes, they do pizza very well but we tried some other things on the menu this past weekend and I feel like I’ve been cheating myself of all this deliciousness for 3 years. I did the «build your own pasta» with spaghetti, marinara, angus meatballs, mushroom & broccoli. It was a serving that could feed a family of 4. Well maybe that’s a bit extreme but I did have leftovers for two days afterwards. I hate to order things that I can make at home… and spaghetti & meatballs. that’s the easiest dish! But no… I needed this in my life & I’ll never make my own spaghetts again. Boyfriend got the pizza cheesesteak which was basically a cheesesteak with marinara on top & baked with mozzarella cheese. Yum.
I sort of love that this place is take-​out only. We live close so we’ve only done pick-​up so I can’t comment on the delivery speed. Take-​out is always fast & the package everything up so nicely that there’s never any spills or cold food when you get home.
Obviously we’ll be back.

Just ordered delivery from Tonellis and it was best delivery I’ve had. The food was wrapped well so it wasn’t cold by the time it was here. They also provided ketchup dip packs instead if the small packets, which are a lot easier and less messy!

I wanted to give this place one star but since I’ve only eaten their food once, I figured I needed to try other things on their menu before I completely rule them out. Probably one of the worst cheesesteaks I have ever had. I had asked for it to be lightly chopped and it was super chopped. I found fat grisel in almost every bite, so so gross. I had ordered curly fries and they gave me regular fries. I def won’t get cheesesteaks there but since they are so conveniently close, I will try something else and hope for the best.

I order Tonelli’s Takeout for delivery sometimes and had it recently with my girlfriend so we felt the need for a review. We decided to skip pizza this time but I have had their plan pizza as well as their white pizza with ricotta and was usually satisfied with their pizza. One time they even made a special request and placed an egg in the center of our white pizza which is not an option on the menu. This night we decided to split a bacon cheese steak with fried onions and it was very good. It is not my favorite cheese steak in the area but it is definitely better than a lot of other places around here. We also shared the buffalo tender sandwich with mozzarella which was also very good and filling. The mac & cheese bytes were good as well as the mozzarella triangles. Overall, I would recommend this delivery/​takeout place to anyone looking for some american food for home.

Red and white wonder is great! If you are a garlic lover you will really like it.

Average pizza and cheesesteaks. Good option for quick takeout or delivery. Won’t knock your socks off but gets the job done.

Just found out Tonelli’s will no longer deliver to Chestnut Hill– bummer since the pizza is good…

If you’re in the Lafayette Hill area, you should definitely do yourself a favor and order Tonelli’s «Red and White Wonder,» a white pizza with a judicious swirl sauce — garlicky, cheesy, and delicious! And their wings are really good, too.
FYI: Tonelli’s only does delivery and takeout — no eat-​in. Delivery can be a little sluggish during busy times, but is never too slow. And any delay in delivery is easily offset by the fact that the delivery people are the nicest people ever.
HIghly recommend.

I sincerely hope this is the right Tonelli’s that I am reviewing. We had them cater an event for about 30 people — ordered pizzas, tomato pie (excellent) 2 kinds of stomboli’s, a hoagie tray and pasta salad.
All were promptly delivered and tasted great.
Would definitely use them again.
