Amazing place. The food has never fell short of my expectations. I have been coming here for awhile and will continue to do so. By far my favorite place to grab lunch.

Yep. Good food and cool owner. I just wish this was closer to home, or I worked closer to the oil center.

Worth the diversion from I-​10. We recommend the shrimp & corn bisque soup… and everyone loved their sandwiches (they serve a variety of hot and cold… all very unique). What really sets this place apart is the service. We arrived mid afternoon so we enjoined personal attention from the owner… who could give lessons on running a small business to anyone. Not only did he make it fun for the kids (squiggly straws and free cookies) but he seemed to know everyone that walked in the door.

This place is awesome… We got two rockin sambiches, some aspergers soup and a couple of cookies… Everything was delish and packed with flavor! Also, the owner, Matt, was super cool and made the overall experience very friendly and homie.

The food is fresh and tasty, and you can eat relatively healthy if you choose. But the real secret to this place is the service — maybe odd to say about an order-​at-​the-​counter sandwich shop, but by God it’s the truth. The owner was working the counter and was infectiously friendly, and there wasn’t an employee in the place that I would hesitate to hire.

I had the buffalo chicken rolled sandwich and it was delicious. They have very personal service and the staff is super friendly. The owner runs the register and his happiness is infectious. I will return again next time I’m in town.

First things first the food was good. It was up to par with all other franchises and tasted good and fresh. NOW TO THE REAL AMAZING PART THE FRANCHISE OWNER!!! Absolutely one of the most awsome persons I have ever met in my life! Greeting me like he has known me for years. I can not put into words how amazing he was unless I wright a biography about him which he would deserve! I’d love to go back daily if I didn’t live in lake charles.

Delicious sandwich roll. Love how the owner himself operates the register and makes you feel appreciated as a customer.
Awesome décor of the restaurant makes you feel apart of the culture of the city.

Thank you Matt for a wonderful lunch experience! I was in town in business and had just a few minutes for lunch. It was after the lunch rush, so I was able to order right away. I told the cashier that this was my first time here, and so she took the time to explain the menu (very easy to understand). I ordered the turkey applejack hot wrap and waited for my order.
The owner Matt came over and chatted with me until my order arrived. I told him I found this place on Unilocal and they were all good reviews. He was genuinely impressed and I could tell he truly cares about his restaurant and his customers.
The wrap was delicious and savory, and the spicy mustard gave it the perfect kick. Pro tip: if you are hungry, definitely get the 12 inch wrap!

The food is good, but the service is what makes this place one of the best joints in Lafayette. The owner is always in working, is always friendly, and occasionally will give a free cookie just for no reason. Awesome place with awesome service.

This restaurant was one of the best places we have ever been to. The service was excellent and the food was awesome!

Driving through from New Orleans to Texas and we stopped here for a bite. Awesome rolled sandwich, hundreds of options, quirky décor. Owner found out we were from Boston and gave us a cookie for free and some Roly Poly trail mix. We aren’t used to that sort of hospitality up north. Overall a great experience. Not sure when we would ever be back here but it deserves the great reviews it has been getting.

My sandwich was absolutely amazing! The owner took our order and couldn’t have been a nicer human being. I love this place and will definitely visit again!!!
The atmosphere is great too. Nice little patio. Great décor on the inside. Take a second and read some of the Thank You cards on the walls. It’s these types of business owners that America need.

Lots of vegetarian options! We tried the monster, the fajita, and I forgot the name of mine but it was really good. The peach tea is sweet and just as I remembered growing up. And, the staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful in guiding us to a nice spot in town to hang out. We even got free cookies! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area :)

The perfect stop-​in lunch place. Also great for feeding the office. Everything is freshly prepared. Discounts are offered to students, veterans, and teachers. Perfect place for UL students.
Food is freshly prepared and very tasty.
The owner and his staff always greet you with a smile. They’re also great supporters of the local community.

I’m from Lafayette but I now live in California and everytime I’m back home, I come here. Don’t get me wrong, the food is great and the service is second to none but the owner, Matt, is the reason I’m giving this place five stars. He’s the nicest guy who will always greet you with a smile and a compliment. He always has brightened my day. Even after 3 years of not living in Louisiana, he still remembers me and asks me how I’m liking California and if I’m every moving back home. More business owners and just people in general should be more like Matt!

Roly Poly is a great place with a ton of options for even the most picky eater. The reason this Roly Poly is different from others is the amazing owner. He is unbelievable. Every time we walk into his store he makes you feel like he is your family! It is an incredible feeling that I can’t even explain :)

Okay, just ate there on my wife’s recommendation from dining there yesterday. The place was standing room only so I got my food to go. Very nice lady at the register offer me a free beverage while I waited. The peach mango tea was great. Got my food and headed to the door when the owner came up and thanked me for stopping by. Said he met my wife the day before (assumed she must have been showing pictures but no) which took me by surprise. Thought to myself as I walked to the car if folks here got any more hospitable I’d need to start inviting everyone I meet over for cocktails. Definitely one of the friendliest place I’ve been since we moved here in June.
Went to the park and took my first bite. Very pleasantly surprised by how fresh and hot my wrap was (chicken pesto). Wanted a cookie but they only had macadamia nut so I passed. The owner did give his fruit and nut dry mix complimentary. It’s delicious as well. Probably healthier than the cookie or he conspired with my wife. Not sure yet.
All said, I will definitely go back and highly recommend.

Roy Poly has then freshest ingredients in the sandwiches but their best ingredients are the folks who work here. The owner is so friendly and remembers your name after a couple of visits. My tuna wrap had fresh spinach and tomatoes on it and was just perfect. Will come here everytimebwe are in town.
