Not a good place if you are in a hurry, but all the food is made SO fresh and hot when you do finally get it. Some of the BEST Italian good I’ve had! And reasonably priced. The only thing that was reeeeeally missing was complimentary bread and oil/spices. If we had to wait THAT long on our food, it would’ve been nice to have something to munch on.

Have been here more than a few times, but hadn’t been in almost two years. Went with family to celebrate my birthday, early on a Saturday evening. There were six of us, and only one other occupied table. The help was standing around. Appetizers took 25 minutes to come out. I ordered stuffed mushrooms(8 of them) and they were quite small and lost on the plate. They seemed to be filled with mush, not the sausage they advertised. They cost 7.95 or 8.95. Daughter ordered cheese sticks, 5 of them arrived, they were priced the same, but were quite large and tasted delicious. Salads took another half hour to arrive. House dressing is quite good. First of our entrees arrived about 5 minutes later. Next one arrived about 10 minutes after that, and another ten minutes later the rest arrived. My sister said the eggplant rollatini was especially good. I ordered eggplant parm, which was described as being thinly sliced, breaded and filled with cheese. It was thin and nicely breaded and stacked, but no cheese at all. They put it on top of a plate of spaghetti that was actually STONECOLD. I sent it back with an apologetic waiter, and an almost identical plate came back, but the pasta was warmer. Throughout our meal, our waiter never checked back with us, offered us drink refills or anything. It wasn’t busy at all. There were now four tables seated. This was definitely a poor experience, and I doubt that I will return.

Fresh food, Awesome atmosphere, gourmet quality, but affordable! My sister n law that was born in Italy said this was the 1st restaurant in America where the food taste like home.

For my Father’s 53rd birthday he was hoping to enjoy a decent plate of Italian cuisine. Instead he received a cold plate of carborona. We had a party of four and it took two hours for us to get our food, when it arrived it was cold and we had to take it to-go. If your looking for a resturant to spend a special occasion at, don’t come to Venucci. If you like to wait hours for sub-par Italian food that is cold, then by all means come to Venucci. Thanks Tulla for the horrible meal…

I wish I had a picture to post because there food is amazing!!! I love pasta and in a hard work out at the gym some good carbs really put a smile on my face. Small restaurant with kitchen near by. Smells great inside I like the cheese sticks and I usually get the linguine papagalo! Sausage jalapeños chicken tenders and a smooth Alfredo-tomato sauce mix!!! Full of Flavor is how I would have to describe it!!!

We came to Venucci for Saturday dinner based on recommendations from coworkers. We didn’t have reservations, but they were able to seat us at a small table in the center of the restaurant. The restaurant space is not that large so it filled up quickly with diners. I think there are more tables in the back and there are also tables outside in front of the restaurant. There is free parking in the parking deck located right behind the strip and also street parking in front of the restaurant. *If you check into Unilocal, you get a 50% coupon on an appetizer. Appetizer: — CRABCAKES: two crab cake patties with a white zesty sauce. We would not order these again as it was dry and bland. — HOUSESALADS: there were a variety of colors in this salad. The salad dressing is definitely the star of the salad. The salad dressing is so popular here that they sell it in a bottle to diners as well. — HOT&FRESHBREAD: One of the servers placed fresh out of the oven bread and olive oil halfway through our meal. How great that the bread was hot and fresh! I believe the bread and olive oil is complimentary to all diners. Entrees: — CHICKENTORTELLINICARBONARO: Instead of tortellini pasta, I opted for linguine. The entrée was still tasty. It could have had more Alfredo sauce. I would like to try the tortellini version of it the next time I dine here. — SALMONCAPELLA: the dish was good. My boyfriend loved it. Service was okay. It could have been better, but I think it’s because they don’t have enough servers. Our server was probably serving the entire restaurant. We got our entrees after about an hour. Overall, we will probably dine here again as we don’t know many restaurants in Lagrange and I am a fan of anything pasta and the portions are HUGE. Definitely worth the price.

I’ve eaten here 3 times, and have always had a problem, but I keep giving them chances. The atmosphere is okay, the service is typically appalling, but the food is excellent! Even with a reservation, service may be horrible, as it was in my party’s case the last time we went recently. The food was excellent, though, and the server was extra apologetic, even knocking all of our adult beverages and one of the entrees off the tab. I would have rather paid full price and gotten good service, though.

I ordered appetizer but they forgot my food!!! It is the slowest place I have ever been! One time deal! Would not suggest to come here since the servers are not caring either! No judge on the food, since have been waiting for almost an hour, nothing taken to the table yet!

This place is amazing! My favorite is the steak and/or the chicken Tortellini! The alfredo is also delicious! The atmosphere fits perfect for an Italian restaurant. The prices are very reasonable considering the portion sizes and quality of the food! The service is always good and there’s plenty to choose from on the menu, including a delicious selection of wine!

Dinner for one :-(I was feeling some alfredo sauce tonight, had fettuccine alfredo with chicken and shrimp. Couldn’t take any decent pictures because it was pretty dark in there. Atmosphere was italian-y…I like when eateries live up to their menu. Started out with a loaf of bread and a plate of their spices with olive oil. Spices were decent, too much parmesean in my opinion and no freshly cracked pepper… what?! I added some table pepper, will do well. Next a house salad with house dressing(waiter I think forgot to ask me about the salad, I saw it came with my meal, I would have ordered w/o tomatoes and onion). Salad is mainly iceburg with a small addition of some mixed greens, cut up black olives, large cut tomatoes, large pieces of red onion. House dressing was delicious, tasted a little like the cucumber/onion/vinegar/sugar mix my mama makes. To make the salad superb — take out the black olives, add some kalamata olives and some peperoncinis(I suppose leave the other veggies for those that like them ;-). Main course was tasty and a huge portion, I could only eat about half and typically… well I can eat. The chicken had a light breading on it which was okay, but I prefer grilled in alfredo sauce. The shrimp was DELICIOUS!(It was drenched in butter… maybe why it tasted so good lol). Overall good meal, may go back if I’m feeling italian again.

The food is great, but we had to wait around 45 minutes for our meal. Yes they were busy, but it is a small restaurant and we shouldn’t have had to wait that long. We even had to ask for refills on our drinks. Our waitress wasn’t even apologetic for the wait.

Excellent food. Very large portions. My wife and I were at Callaway Gardens and decided to head into La grange. We looked up local places on Unilocal and found this place. It definitely lived up to the reviews.

Came based on other Unilocal reviews, not disappointed! Food quality was great, portion sizes were large, taste was great, and service was superb. I had the salmon wrapped in angel hair pasta and sautéed till crispy(don’t remember the name of the dish). I would order this again. My husband had, an old standard, spaghetti and meatballs. He was sad he could not finish it all! He was just too full. We even bought a bottle of the house salad dressing to take home. Well worth the price(which is reasonable)! We will be back next time we head to LaGrange!

Always a place we eat at as a family when I come in town. Been eating at this and the long gone basil leaf for years. Try the Alfredo(you can ask for fried chicken Alfredo), filet mignon quesadillas, and the lobster stuffed filet mignon. Heaven!

Food was ok. But the fact we had to bring our own wine was an inconvenience and a deal breaker for me

OMG. Would drive back from Florida to eat here again. Don’t judge the outside. Go in you won’t be disappointed. Mozzarella stick clearly are home with fresh mozzarella. The homemade dressing made the salad. Salmon was very generous size portion. Too much potato stick crust but good. Tiramisu was great.

We had dinner here tonight and it was wonderful! The homemade salad dressings were a treat by themselves. I had the Florentine stuffed shells and my wife had Shrimp FraDiavolo. Both meals were absolutely delicious. We bought two bottles of the Balsalmic Vinigrette to take home with us as well. Good prices too!

I met a friend here for dinner a few weeks ago. It wasn’t our first choice(it was closed since it was Monday). We got great service and both enjoyed our tortellini. Our server was nice enough to only get us the single dish, instead of getting a larger dish to share, so our bill was lower. I forgot how great Venucci is, but I will definitely be back soon!

I could write two reviews for this place, one for week nights and one for the weekend. Living in LaGrange, I have gone to Venuccis several times and depending on when you go you will get two totally different food experiences. Being as my most recent experiences have been on weeknights, I am writing this review to reflect those experiences… Venuccis has OK Italian. That’s it, it’s just OK. Good for LaGrange, «meh» compared to home cooked Italian. Week nights in particular you notice how«meh» this food really is. The chefs during the week just don’t know how to cook good Italian. I have tried Venuccis during the week a couple times and it has been consistently poor quality. In general, I am not overly impressed with their food but you see a big difference between the food on a Friday or Saturday night compared to the food on a Monday or Tuesday. I really don’t recommend going there on a weeknight. The quality is just sub-par and not worth the price. If you live in LaGrange Venuccis is worth going to since it is the only«Italian» place in town but if you are used to good Italian you will not be impressed. They have made some poor attempts to make the place look«classy» but have missed the mark with the poor quality photos of their food, the white ceiling tiles, the painted chalk board wall that is not a smooth surface and is not even framed out… BUT on the plus side, it is BYOB so its nice that you have control of what you can drink and once again, there aren’t any other options in LaGrange so if you need an Italian fix this is probably your best option(sadly).

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into this lovely Italian restaurant a month or so ago for dinner and I must say this is some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. In the past few years LaGrange, Georgia has definitely stepped its game up with adding some very high quality places to get great food from and Vennuci’s is a testament to that affirmation! I highly recommend this place if you love Italian food and their homemade white vinaigrette salad dressing and Tiramisu are absolutely mind blowing!
