Great food. Always fresh and they go above and beyond to customize your order in any way. With all the unhealthy places to dine at, it’s fantastic to have a healthy place to opt for instead of always cooking at home to avoid the gross greasy dirty places. Thanks spike!

I’ve been a eating here for a few years. Outstanding healthy food at a reasonable price. Causal, fast dining with tasty seafood. Don’t miss taco Tuesday! No complaints — my food has always been good.

Great food and good prices. Kinda was awesome. There was a miscommunication with my order and she replaced promptly and gave me a credit for next time. Awesome service and she is a great asset to their team.

Good quality food, pleasant service, casual atmosphere, reasonably priced — all good in my book! You order at the counter and take a number. Food is delivered to your table when ready. You may dine in, or outside in the shared spae. I’ve been to Spike’s 4 times; each time I ordered something different and everything has been very good. I’ve had the superfood salad which comes with quinoa, kale, broccoli, etc. and I add ahi poke. The ahi poke you can also order as a bowl, plate, or in lettuce wraps — all delicious. I like their ahi poke! They have good quality sides like brown rice and veggies. Copper river salmon with superfood salad and salmon wrap are equally good quality. They serve beer and wine too! Thanks Spikes!

The associate taking the order wasn’t very helpful when I asked questions. I felt like I was bothering him. So, I ordered the easiest thing on the menu, a political bowl. The fish was very fresh and cold which is important however, the rice was really warm Which then turned the fish warm. When that happened it was fishy. I think Cold rice is standard for poki bowls for a reason. It was clean, nice but a waste of lunch for me.

I have eaten here many times as I live right down the street. When I’m in a bind and need to eat out somewhat healthy I’ll end up here as there aren’t many options. Unfortunately this place majorly lacks consistency. If they get semi busy they can’t handle making quality prepared dishes. The last 5+ times I’ve eaten here something is always wrong with the order. Something is super cold, fish is overcooked(most of the time), vegetables are lacking or not cooked well. The cooks really need to be trained much better. You’d think they’d get the hang of it as they look like the same cooks that have been there for years. Back to the fish being over cooked. I have gotten the fresh salmon the last two times I’ve been here and its super dry because they over cook it. Waste of some great copper river salmon. Very frustrating as it’s not cheap $ 16 If it’s the middle of the day and not busy. give this place a try. Coming at prime time hours is a gamble.

Short phone review: Been coming here for a couple of years for a quick bite of healthy super fresh fish. Always seem to get friendly service. it takes about 10 minutes for them to fix the fish your way whether grilled cajun or panko. $ 4 beer, $ 6 wine. A great alternative two or four legged fare!

Spike’s is a fantastic find. The fish is fresh and always perfectly prepared and the veggies are always grilled perfectly. The service is amazing for fast casual dining. The staff greets every customer warmly, gets even complicated orders right, and thanks you for coming when you leave. They also have the best ahi poke in the area. It’s not hard to put a delicious, healthy meal together here for a reasonable price. I have seen the owner, Tim, here on a few occasions making sure they maintain their standards. It must be working, because Spike’s is a real neighborhood gem.

There aren’t a lot of vegetarian options in this area –(i.e., the Grill Hut doesn’t have falafel!) — so I default to the Spike’s Fish House Superfood Salad when here. It’s a good mix of veggies(spring mix) and some protein in the form of quinoa — and a good dressing that they put on the side so you can use as much or as little as you want. It’s also nice that there are so many restaurant options in this little corner of the plaza, plus plentiful parking — and the service has always been kind/helpful, so other than more vegetarian friendly meal options in general, can’t ask for more.

Excellent service, very accomodating, fresh fish. Delicious ahi(in my top 3) Wild caught salmon is fresh and delicious. Service is 5 star. Sauces and flavor are 4.5. So glad they do not drench the dishes. 4 for sides like Quinoa(basic white), Brown rice(ok), kale salad(probably the best side I’ve tried) 2.5 for veggies. .I would pass on the vegetables they are oily and bland. Overall I like the fresh fish & great service here & look forward to coming back for more! :-)

Spike’s Fish House is a small establishment that focuses on customer interaction and satisfaction. From the name, one might imply that this is a large restaurant but it’s smaller than expected. It’s conveniently located in a strip mall, just off of the Alicia Parkway exit from the 5 freeway. There are plenty of other food chains nearby competing for business but Spike’s is a step above the others. When we walked inside, we noticed how incredibly clean everything was. This shows that they take pride in ownership. We were immediately greeted upon entry and offered a sample of their Ahi Poke. My boyfriend opted to try it and he was impressed already! This set the tone for the rest of our experience here! When browsing their menu selections, you’ll notice several options. It’s s typical seafood establishment with a bit of a Latino influence! For starters, you have the option of choosing clam chowder, ahi poke, shrimp cocktail, ceviche, or a salad. The main selections seem to become overwhelming as there’s so much to choose from! Halibut, swordfish, ahi, snapper, and other fish offerings are available. They are accompanied with brown rice or white rice, vegetables, salads, and you can even have quinoa! For people who are watching their calorie intake, you can opt for a lettuce wrap packed with grilled fish and vegetables. I order the grilled shrimp plate with white rice and steamed vegetables. The shrimp was seasoned with a Cajun flavoring that made it slightly spicy. Three pieces of shrimp were placed on each skewer and as I slid them off, I could tell that they were well-cooked! Upon my first bite, I was reminded of some of the best shrimp that I had at a local fish market in LA County! However, this surpassed what I’ve had in the past. As the seasoning dusted the surface of my rice, it helped to give it extra flavoring to make it more tasty! White rice is usually bland so this was a great way to make this meal go over well! Soon after, I found myself removing the tails from the shrimp and combing the tailless shrimp with my rice. As we enjoyed our meal, we noticed that one of their employees who greeted us upon entry was interacting with employees both while they ate and just before they left. I’m assuming he was quite possibly the manager or owner because he made sure that everyone enjoyed their meal. I like how personable he was with each customer and how he made careful observations as people ate their lunch. For example, an elderly lady was finishing up her meal and he took it upon himself to open the door for her and waited patiently as she worked her way toward the exit. This was such a polite gesture and judging from how he interacted with his customers, this all seemed quite genuine. Of course, he checked on us to see if we were satisfied with our meal and we couldn’t have been happier! We were looking for a healthy alternative to the fast food establishments that offer fried food. Spike’s Fish House grills their fish and has so many healthy side offerings so that people who are focused on longevity due to clean eating would find this place to be ideal! I cannot stress how great this place is!!! I’ve eaten at various types of restaurants ranging from high-end to simple hole in the wall places. It’s not about how much your meal costs that makes the grade. It’s the overall experience and the quality of the meal. Spike’s Fish House is a neighborhood gem that I’m so grateful to have stumbled upon!

I usually come here when I want a quick affordable seafood dish. The prices are good and the fish is always fresh. I normally get the grilled salmon with brown rice and steamed veggies. It’s healthy, but very tasty. You can also get your fish Cajun or Panko style, which is a favorite of many. They’ve also started serving Poke bowls and is still hard to find here on the Mainland. As an aside, growing up in Hawaii, it’s hard to get really good Poke outside of the islands. They have some delicious sauces and I usually get at least 3 of them. I always get the Spike sauce and chimichurri sauce then mix it up with one of the other sauces like lemon-pesto aioli. They have a big screen tv to watch your favorite game or you can go outside and sit under the stars.

I LOVE the poke bowl here. A little on the expensive side tho. Food is always great and so is service! The fish tacos lack more fish in my opinion but they are tastey.
