McDonald’s

So if ur going to chose this mcdonalds i just want to let u know the employees, r rude, they hardly understand english an they over charge for dollar items, they take forever with ur order an wen u get it, its cold… save ur time an hard earned money, there better an cheaper places to eat at

I was surprised to see how big this McDonald’s was when I first walked in. It was also clean and well kept, and that includes the bathroom. It was on the slow side though. Must be relatively popular for a line that long to form for a McDonald’s.

Spam, eggs, and rice for breakfast?! Best breakfast ever! And top that off with taro pies for desserts.

So where do I start… This McDonald’s is so slow… Any slower would be going back in reverse. They act like they have all the time in the world to make your food. Fast food my butt! Maybe is just the culture or I don’t know but it is ridiculously slow. Also the parking situation is outrages. They have a semi truck that was here blocking the only entrance to the parking lot. The only way to come in is to come the opposite way through a portion of the drive-​thru and risk being hit. Or you could park in the shopping center next door and walk across. The only thing with that is there is signs all over the place that say if you’re not shopping in that particular shopping center which the McDonald’s is not located in, you can get your car towed. When I asked the manager about it he stated that this happens every Monday. I told the drivers I thought it was ridiculous and they basically laughed about it and said they own the parking lot. This is highly unacceptable. Anyyyy how… The good news is I gave two stars because of food taste like it supposed to taste. Other than that I wouldn’t eat here again if I wasn’t on a budget due to the expensive nature of Hawaii. Aloha!

I hate to «hate» on my home town’s McD, but damn, they don’t qualify as fast food. It honestly seems like they are slower now that they added the 2 lane drive thru and rebuilt the place.
The customer service is great tho. Its just that theyre so slowwwww.

My caramel frappé had no Fricken caramel. How am I supposed to get through the day without my sugar high?!!

Clean, modern, quick service, functioning WiFi. Not sure what else you could ask for in a Mickey Ds.
Oh, the menu says they’re out of shakes. So if you’re looking for a shake, then you’ll have to look somewhere else or perhaps just come back on a different day.

Newly renovated so it looks really nice inside except every table was dirty, the seats are dirty and the floors have food all over. They apparently do not wipe the tables or sweep the floors through out the day which is very sad because it could be such a nice McDonald’s.

From local breakfast plates to modern and comfortable dining area, this location is a winner.

We visited several McDonald’s during our 2 week stay in Maui. This one was the worst… not because the food was bad. But because they allow these homeless PIGS to congregate there! It wouldn’t be so bad if they came in, got their food and either left or at least acted like humans… but these animals were allowed to stay there and yell, laugh, rant, etc and management did NOTHING to stop it. I know it’s not politically correct to criticize «the poor» or the «homeless»… I DON’T CARE!!! If I’m going to spend thousands of dollars on a vacation to Hawaii — I want to enjoy myself!!! I EARNED that — the homeless have earned NOTHING and don’t care to! And before you call me mean, cold-​hearted, etc. Let me tell you something… I sat there and listened to these A-​holes and their insipid conversations. Not once did they talk about getting a job — even though there were Help Wanted signs all around. Not once did they talk about improving themselves. Not once did they say anything constructive! I’m sick & tired of hearing about their rights, while the right to have a meal in piece by those of us that WORK OUR ASSES OFF all year long, fly thousands of miles, pay a lot of taxes get no consideration at all! All I ever hear about is my responsibility to care for these worthless scumbags! What are THEY responsible for? If I were King, they’d be given 3 months to get their shit together and if at the end of that time they failed to improve themselves, they’d get shipped off to a remote island location (like Kaho’olawe) and let the chips fall where they may. Aside from that… the food was good. But I’d never go back there again until management began looking out for those of us that deserve and have EARNED the right to enjoy a meal in peace without having to smell some dirtbag that hasn’t bothered to bathe in 3 weeks.

So I try really hard to be tolerable when going fast food. Today inside on a Sunday Morning there is only one guy working the cash register. I was the fourth customer in line. It seem to take 15 minutes or longer just to place my order. The guy in front of me could not keep still he was in such a hurry.
Anyways I kept my cool placed my order and waited for my food. It really came pretty fast. I went to sit down at a table…
I soon realized my breakfast was not only put onto a dirty tray. But so was the paper insert from a previous customer with ketchup stain and whatever else was on it.
I went back to my server and told him I didn’t want my breakfast and wanted a refund. The manger quickly came over took my credit card processed my credit and gave me my credit card back. No Sorry about that. Just «Here» and walked away. Really??? Great Manager’s skills! No Aloha Spirit here. Mahalo!

This location recently opened after being torn down and rebuilt. The look matches other buildings in the historic town of Lahaina. They have the new dual-​lane drive thru but with a very short queue line.
FOOD:
Local Breakfast Plate — You’ll find this only at Hawaii restaurants! Scrambled eggs, 3 pieces of fried Portuguese sausage and 2 pieces of Spam, and steamed rice. And the best part, I didn’t have to ask for soy sauce, they automatically put two in the bag!
SERVICE:
I stopped by for some breakfast, and received fast & friendly service at the drive thru.
OVERALL:
Great service, convenient location with easy access.

Conveniently located near honoapiilani highway in the Lahaina historic district. We did a drive-​thru to grab a quick breakfast.
I had a McChicken from the dollar menu– it was good size for a light breakfast.

I typically would not review a Micky D’s but this is an exception.
This is a newly renovated and modern restaurant (i use this term loosely) with flat screen TV’s as menus. The only thing I purchase here while on vacation was their Fried Banana pie. SO FRICKEN DELICIOUS!!! Totally worth the $ 1
You gotta get one if you’re from the mainland!

Why am I reviewing McDonalds?
Because this has to be the cleanest McDonalds I’ve ever been to in the U.S.
I mean, if I lived here, I wouldn’t mind coming here everyday. Its really nice! Why can’t we have more of this in the bay area?!

Morning of 4/​13, ordered two sausage biscuit meals. One coffee, one soda. They decided without asking us to up charge for the larger sized soda and coffee.
I wonder how many people just pay without noticing they’re getting screwed on the up charge.

Its just tradition that we have to have our first breakfast of the Local Deluxe Breakfast of spam, portuguese sausage, eggs and rice.
I love getting the fried apple and what ever else fried pie they have. This time around it was Haupia (coconut) pie which was delicious.

Seriously folks, ya’ll shouldn’t be eating here at all, lol.
Guess its just too tempting with the 4.99 20 piece mcnuggets or the 1 dollar any sized drink.
Half The time at the Lahaina location the ice cream machine is broken so don’t get your hopes up if you’re craving a shake or a cone.
About a year ago they completely tore down our old «hawaiian» hut looking mcdonalds to build a brand new modern looking version with stylish seats, tables and lighting.
At the end of the day, you’re gonna end up here because its cheap fast and convenient.

Disclaimer: This gets a 5 star review for a McDonalds. Is any McDonalds a 5 star restaurant? No. But this location is the best I’ve visited.
It’s newly renovated! It’s so clean and nice in here. They have plasma screens for their menus. They took away their dollar menu, but that’s mostly to prevent loitering.

Yep, had to go to Mcdonalds for my annual hawaii fast food breakfast… aka two pieces of spam, scrambled eggs, and rice! $ 4.69 for the breakfast platter.
The parking lot was full, so we went through the drive thru and found parking afterwards to enjoy it!
