Jersey Mike’s Subs

We came in just before closing and were greeted with a smile. Excellent subs, excellent customer service! Thanks Jersey Mike’s!

Best sandwich shop I’ve been to! The ingredients are fresh, they have great options, the people there are friendly and they have the best veggie sandwich around. I haven’t been to a different sandwich shop in about 3 years; this is the place to go to.

Food is great and the staff are awesome… High energy and a really fun group. A must return… Again again and again!!!

Just barely average. Haven’t eaten there since they opened. Now I know why. Very expensive for an average sub. Dry bread. Dry meat. However the employee was very friendly. Can’t comment on the cleanliness of the place since I took the food to go. I won’t go back.

How do you give a sandwich 5 stars: the bread is excellent, the meat is plentiful, «Mike’s Way,» is the ONLY way, and «subs so fast you’ll freak» cannot hold a candle to their speed AND quality. I seriously love everything on the menu: Big Kahuna is my favorite but when Summer comes I find myself getting a #5 about as often as I go near the store. This location has excellent service — they really take care of the customer — and I never walk away feeling like I overpaid. Also, they have TASTYCAKES!

Great sandwiches and awesome catering. I use them for business events and school fund raisers, Sue has been outstanding with ordering to delivery of fresh sandwiches.
Compliments to the owners they are very involved with helping the community in Crystal Lake, LITH and surrounding area!

Love this place and their subs! The cherry pepper relish is a great addition to any sandwich. I didn’t realize until the last visit that you can order your sub «in a tub»! This will now be a guilty pleasure for someone, like myself, trying to eat healthy but just can’t help themselves!

Pleasantly surprised!
As a regular at Subway and Jimmy Johns, I am now a believer of Jersey Mike’s!
I know the other places cut their meat, but Jersey Mike’s does it when you order, like a true deli. I ordered the pastrami, which is a meat you just can’t get regularly at the other chains. I was shocked to learn that like the cheesesteaks, it is heated up on the flattop when you order!
Another pleasant surprise was the «Cookie for a Rookie» promo, in which my family each got a free cookie for visiting the chain for the first time.
While the service was excellent for us, a few of the employees behind the counter were gossiping about difficult customers that they had seen earlier in the day. It was immature and unprofessional and it made my wife and I uncomfortable. They treated us well, but who knows what they really think? We asked a lot of questions because it was our first time… will we be the subject of gossip tomorrow?
Overall, we enjoyed the food, and even got a taste of this unique sort of sweet and sour hot giardiniera.
We’ll definitely be back to try the cold subs… then again, that pastrami was really good.

So for starters they ran out of bread, we were rushed to order and even asked to be done by time they closed. I ordered a wrap since it was the only option and these kids seemed bothered that we were here… someone take the time to teach these young kids that customer service is everything.

Horrible. Horrible food. We ordered for our office for our lunch hour. Their salads aren’t even salad. Lettuce was soggy in the salads and the wraps. I ended up throwing it away. We won’t be back.

I went a few hours ago and I loved my sub. I got the #13 «The original Italian» mikes way and I loved it. I like how they slice the meat and cheese right in front of you instead of having it sit in a tub, shipped from a factory (*cough* subway *cough*). *I told the cashier that I think I didn’t have enough change, and he told me he would take whatever I had! (I ended up finding enough)* The ingredients seemed high quality and tasted great. My brother in law had the #13 like me and liked it and also got the roast beef, which he said was really dry. My only complaint would be their prices, over $ 7 for a 7.5 inch sub, but the quality is worth it and better than subway and jimmy johns.
Over all, I really liked it and will visit again soon.

Great place with great subs. The cheesesteak sub is my favorite. It’s one the best I’ve ever had. The girls that worked there were very friendly and helpful. The only problem I saw was that they ran out of roast beef at about 2:00 in the afternoon, that was a little strange. Decent prices, goodbye Subway!

For a delicious and fast sub place, come here! I don’t know how Subway continues to stay in business with the 2 slices of meat they put on their sandwiches, crummy ingredients and miserable employees… This place on the other hand and other locations of Jersey Mikes in general, are doing it right. Generous portions of meat, fresh toppings, soft and fresh bread, kind and well trained employees, clean environment. There is nothing I can think of to complain about. The only Sub shop in the area that I personally like as much, if not more, is Bubs Subs. Keep it up.

Just like your typical Jersey Mike’s, amazing tasting! Usually get the Cheese Steak, which is absolutely amazing. They are three sizes, the mini, regular and giant. I can eat a lot and the regular size is more than enough. I am not a fan of the cold subs, however, but the steak is to die for!

Food is good but service experience prevents me from giving a higher rating.
Guy in front of me had 5 sandwiches and it took forever while the manager just sat there.
Kind of small and when the door opened the temp in the eating area dropped 30 degrees.

Love, love, love this place! Most amazing subs and the staff is great! Wish it was a little closer but worth the drive.

Regular size is more than enough for 1 person! Better subway or Jimmy John’s. good meat selection. Their sandwiches are 15″! So be careful ordering!

Decent food yet sometimes getting your sub «Mike’s Way» will turn your sub into one
of the oiliest sandwiches you’ll ever eat. Good price and way better than Subway.
Place is a bit small so during busy times your only option is to take your food to go.
Cold sandwiches are made rather quickly but hot sandwiches can take a while.
The service is always friendly.

Just had Jersey Mikes for the first time. Here are my thoughts …
SERVICE: 5 stars! Both gentlemen were very friendly and helpful!
As for the sandwich itself… (i got the Italian (#13))
BREAD: 2 stars :(Sadly their bread left a lot to be desired. The texture of the crust is the biggest problem with the bread. It if not crusty at all and rather chewy.
MEAT/​CHEESE: 5 stars! They slice the meat after you order your sub right in front of you. It is soo delish! Very flavorful and fresh!
TOPPINGS: 4 stars! Very fresh and flavorful. Not as many options as other sub shops.
PRICE: 3 stars, In my opinion it is a little too spendy for the sub you get. All they need to do is improve their bread and add a few more topping choices and the price would be worth it!
Those opinions being said, they averaged 3.8stars from me. Definitely worth rounding up to a 4 star rating just because of the meat!

I had my first Jersey Mike’s sub last year at a graduation party and thought they were really good. New location opened in Crystal Lake and have been there twice!
The sandwiches are SUPER fresh with the deli meat sliced right before being placed on your sub. Loved the Sub Club and the Original Italian — — definitely «Mike’s Way»!
Don’t miss the Hot Cherry Pepper Relish! Really makes the sub!!!
