LongHorn Steakhouse

We enjoyed the Porterhouse Steak for Two. The steak was very good and the waitress was outstanding. I have to tell you a story of how she went beyond the call of duty. My wife has celiac disease and can’t eat gluten (bread). She forgot to tell the waitress, so when the salad came with croutons, we assumed she would just go w/​o a salad. The waitress brought a new salad w/​o croutons anyway.

Every time i have visited this steakhouse the food he been fantastic but service was very poor. Every time they don’t seem super busy and the service is slow and takes forever to get food. There have been several occasions where I have asked for a manager and told there isn’t one on duty. I will be ordering take out from here on out!

This well known chain surprised me with this visit. The coffee was delicious and the 8oz prime rib with mashed potatoes was fantastic. I wasn’t sure how to react when I saw it on the menu, but I was pleasantly surprised. Service was fast and courteous!

My wife and I had a gift card and decided to try Longhorn tonight. The server was very polite, but the food was below average. Had to send my steak back because it was under cooked. Of course, it came back overcooked. I had a few bites and was done. The manager did not seem to care. Luckily we had a gift card. We will not be back.

Great lunch deal! Good food. Good value. Good service. Will definitely return for more.

Just found out that they took green beans off the menu. Now the only veggies you can get with your meal is… broccoli. You would think a place like this would offer a choice.

Traveling home from Orlando, I was HUNGRY. I stopped and got myself dinner.
I was sat quickly, my server was there in an instant. He took my order and promptly brought me my tea, my salad and bread.
My steak came out just as I finished my salad and it was cooked to perfection. It was a good trip.

It was busy so I didn’t expect fast service. I ordered a glass of wine, my mom and sister got their drinks and 10 minutes later I still didn’t have mine. I got the waitress’ attention and asked about my wine; she gave me a dirty look and said «It’s at the bar!» She eventually gave me my drink and our food but we didn’t have any silverware. It took her another 5 minutes to deliver the silverware. I asked for extra napkins from 3 different people and no one ever delivered the napkins. We were going to order dessert but the waitress dropped off the bill and left. The service was terrible and rude, and the food was just meh. Not worth the wait or the price. I won’t be going back and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Service was great. The Filet steak did not taste fresh it tasted frozen. The baked potato was over cooked and stringy.

Ok, so, I just walked out of this place with like, EW. I ordered Ribs and a Renegade steak, and were BOTH BURNT. I’m only givin’ this three stars because of the service and cleanliness. When the waiter brought out the food, My mother, has BUTTER IN HER WATER. … … Think on that for a moment. THANKS BUT NO THANKS. And we’re spring breakers!

bad service and my Steak came out half cooked

«Do you want a new one?» Is the slogan of this restaurant. I couldn’t even finish my meal because I was so pissed upon leaving.
I went to the restaurant by myself, because I’m in town for business, and took a seat at the bar. The bartender greeted me fine, and took my order fine, and my salad came out quick, but from then on it sucked.
A guy came in to pick up his to go order and sat next to me and I heard him order a beer. She disappeared for about 5 minutes, came back and told him it was almost ready and before he or I could order another drink she was gone for 10 more minutes. I could hear the cooks in the back singing and partyin it up! Finally she came out with my order, the to go order, and a couple next to me’s order all at once by herself.
Why was she gone so long? Why did she decide to bring 3 people’s food out all at once? Wtf service?
The guy with the to go order snatched his bag and walked out pissed! The couple next to me both sent their food back. My steak was ok, but the side was a pasta that came out a brick. I talked to the manager, he said my meal was comped and I just walked out.
I’m not sure where the weakest link was in this restaurant, but they need to get things done right the first time.

Let me preface by saying it straight-​forward: I am a Texan, y’all. We tend to be a tad snobby or «purist» when it comes to the holy subject of steaks.
Let it be known, ok.
Anyway, I simply couldn’t believe the prices on steaks they had at this joint.
Give me a 4, 5 star restaurant with steaks that come out, sing, and dance for me, and maybe we’ll talk. But what they got here simply ain’t all that. Ain’t worth what they’re charging. (Come on now, even Texas Roadhouse has more options!)
However, the food itself was tasty enough that we had a good time.
I appreciated the fact they had real sweet tea and the server was a sweet lady :)

Wife and I stopped in for lunch about 2 weeks ago and again a week later for cocktails and appitizers. The facility is clean and modern, staff was friendly and attentive. Food was very good, served hot, and served quickly. The bartender made great drinks and appitizers were very good. We will go back and would recommend this place to friends.

Stopped here on our way from Kissimmee to hard rock casino in Tampa… Went to our handy dandy Unilocal friends to see what was good on our way and saw this… The food was amazing!!! I had the ribeye. Cooked wonderfully with great seasoning, watch out for the pepper if you don’t like that, but I loved it. Highly recommend… Also close to I-​4 which was nice too!

My girlfriend and I stopped here on our way to Clearwater on a Friday night and it was definitely the perfect way to start our mini-​vacation.
This Longhorn is huge and it is very nicely decorated. Cow skulls and horse-​riding gear adorn the walls, making the place cozy and thematic.
The waitress that attended to us was efficient and friendly.
We started with white cheddar-​stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. They only bring 5 of them, but they are very big and very delicious.
For entrees, she chose the 6-​oz renegade sirloin steak (standard issue steak) and I went for the juiciest cut, the ribeye. Let me simply say that they were outstandingly excellent. Longhorn continues to be the chain restaurant that makes the best steak in my opinion. Absolutely juicy cuts, done exactly how we wanted, great proportions at an affordable price… just perfect.
For side dishes, we both chose the white cheddar and bacon mac’n’cheese but they were a bit too salty. I think they underestimated the saltiness of the cheddar and the bacon combined. But the corkscrew pasta used was very tasty and fitting.
For drinks we had blackberry and raspberry sweet tea. They pack an over-​sugary punch n the first sip but settle into a good zone a couple of sips later.
In conclusion, truly awesome steaks and a great, great dining experience. Longhorn has completely beat the other chain restaurants in which I’ve ordered any kind of steaks. Even their standard renegade steaks are better than the rest, so if you decide to indulge in a higher-​quality cut, then you’ll be in carnivore heaven.
I couldn’t have asked for a better restaurant to visit on my birthday.

Frequently, we dine out at Longhorn Steakhouse. It’s one of my favorite restaurants. I was excited when I was recently invited to Longhorn Steakhouse to sample their new Flavorful Under 500 menu. We headed over to a nearby location in Lakeland, TN on highway 98 after work for dinner. When we arrived, we were both impressed with the new clean décor and openness of the restaurant.
First, we started with a half loaf of that delicious whole grain bread. Of course it was gone almost immediately.
Although we came to try the Flavorful Under 500 menu specifically, our server and David the awesome manager sold us on the Wild West Shrimp appetizer. This is found on the normal menu. It was full of flavor, the breading was crispy and light, and the chili peppers weren’t too spicy, but so tasty to dip a nice forkful into the homemade ranch! We finished this off in record time.
The bf ordered the 7oz Flat Iron Steak with a baked sweet potato as his side. The steak had been rubbed and marinated then grilled over an open flame. It had a beautiful char, but still juicy. This particular cut of meat is usually hit or miss since it cooks very quickly and more times than not is over done and a little dry. Longhorn hit the mark with this steak
I decided to stick with another server recommended dish — shrimp as well — and ordered the Redrock Grilled Shrimp. Holy cow… the shrimp were cooked perfectly in a tomato butter glaze, served with fresh green beans and a rice pilaf.
When David (the manager) came out and asked if we’d saved room for dessert, I was *this close* to asking him for a bowl of tomato butter to dunk my face into. It really was that goodMany times people worry whether or not the meal will be enough to feel «full» or «worth the price» or do they have to sacrifice the flavor when it comes to choosing the lighter dishes at restaurants. No fear here. The portions of the meals are more than enough.
Overall, my experience at this Longhorn specifically was A+. The food and service was awesome. I will most definitely be ordering from this menu from now on. If you are looking for steakhouse flavor, but don’t want to sacrifice your weekend’s worth of calories — I recommend taking a peek at the Flavorful Under 500 menu and visiting this location!

Know chef David here at this one and even when he doesn’t know I’m there, the food is always good quality.
Had a friendly server who knew the menu and could make suggestions, which made up for the grumpy hostess who seated us.

Stopped by on my way home from Disney World and had a good meal… even though it was Friday evening at 7 pm we were seated immediately and served our drinks right away. service was spectacular and the food was very good.
we both had the Parmesan crusted chicken breast and it was fantastic
Mile high cheesecake was Delicious (says the wife, i hate cheesecake). and all the sides were good.
overall a great dining experience.
