Pretty good place. We had the pulled pork and the smoked chicken. Both were pretty good, but the chicken was the better choice of the two. Staff was friendly and the place was getting busy. Will come again!

I REALLY hate to give these nice people such a low review. When I first saw Buck’s BBQ, I was excited to see a BBQ joint so close to the new house. I stopped by there on moving day and picked up some ribs, Pulled pork, slaw and Country beans(I think they were country beans). Anyways, got home and the ribs were okay, definitely not the worst I have had but nothing that I want to spend that kind of money on again as ribs aren’t the cheapest in any joint. The pulled«bbq» pork did not come across to me as BBQ pork. it was more of a roast,. If I may; there was absolutely no bark or smoke ring to this pork(no smoke ring on the ribs either) it was a tad on the dry side. I figured the sauce would definitely livin’ up the pork, no. The sauce was thin in flavor and mouthfeel. The one thing they do have right is the slaw, I loved the slaw. So for the reasons that they have a über friendly staff and the slaw is good I give them 2 stars.

If I could give it zero I would, the smoked«turkey» looked like sliced compressed turkey jello, and the gravy was worse than out of a can. I have had a lot of bbq in my day, and this was by far the worst!

Grabbed some takeout hoping the new owners had changed or gotten rid of some of the old ‘Rib’ recipes & practices, nothing has changed in my opinion. We ordered sausage, chicken & sliced brisket for the meats and grabbed some sides too. The sausage was good but leaned on the spicy side, the chicken was a little dry but had good smoke, now let’s get to the brisket. The brisket was sliced which a lot of places serve it chopped so kudos for slicing but if you’re going to slice it you want to show off a nice smoke ring and some evidence of bark on the outside, neither of which were present. At all ! The brisket was tender and is best served for their French dip sandwich not as barbecue. The sides were okay and filled the hole. This place has great burgers, fries and other items but the BBQ needs more smoke and some recipe tweaking. The old ‘Rib’ was just okay too, strive for better and make a few changes. Until then, I’ll just keep smoking my own BBQ and stop in every few months for a burger.

I’m sorry but I don’t know what these other folks are eating but what I ate tasted awful! Boiled hot dogs have more flavor than the food from this place. I came here based on the Unilocal reviews and I regret it! Never again. NEVER!

We ate here tonight, first thing I noticed(and looked for) was cleanliness, which was good. Food was excellent and full of flavor, the sauces were nice and the meals were great value. This place is highly recommended. We will definitely be back here.

I miss«The Rib». The staff was great, food came up pretty quick. Son said it was one of the best burgers he’s eaten. For me and my daughter it just wasnt what we like for BBQ. I’ll probably give it one more shot, maybe I was jaded when I found out that it was not my favorite BBQ place any longer.

Mac and cheese is very heavy on the garlic, which could be good or bad depending on your palate. Was expecting much more from the gold sauce, as I’m a big fan of South eastern style sauce, and was disappointed by the bitter flavor. Over all it wasn’t bad but I much prefer Moe’s

Mac & cheese was like Kraft Mac and cheese. Mash potatoes were instant potatoes. Meats were okay

Ok, they had me at «burnt ends». Holy crap, I want to eat those suckers every minute of every day. Their Mac & cheese is killer, so is the garlic bread. Great brisket. Hubs loves the burgers, chicken & pulled pork. I tried to stab him with my fork when he tried to take a burnt end, so I don’t know if he likes those. All around solid place.

Ribs were mighty tasty. We could tell they were slow cooked and very very tender. Simple restaurant(think it was an old doughnut shop maybe) but well done food. Reminds me of Olde timey BBQ you would get next to a gas station and order at the counter… And by the way you do order at the counter. Variety of sauces and very authentic. Kind of hidden but worth the hunt to find it. Staff was more than helpful. Next time were trying the pulled pork(probably as a sandwich) or the sausages. Only thing that could’ve been better is some bacon in the BBQ beans.(Hint hint)
