The food was okay, but rather pricey. The restaurant had no atmosphere. I prefer Bros. BBQ.

Prior to this visit, we had yet to find a good place to eat BBQ in Colorado. We hadn’t visited yet because of the less than stellar reviews. I only wish we had visited sooner! We went in on a Sunday afternoon. There were quite a few people in the restaurant but only one couple was in front of us in line. When I saw they had barbecue ham, I almost lost it. Ham is one of my favorite foods and I don’t get to eat it nearly enough! Why is this a holiday only food?! Note to self: change that immediately. Unfortunately, I ordered it and they were out. Probably one of my only complaints of our visit. Instead, I got the turkey and the pulled pork with potato salad and macaroni and cheese sides. The turkey and pulled pork were both very good. I tried the sweet and original sauces and, while they didn’t taste all that different to me, both were good. I can’t handle a lot of spice and both my tastebuds and my stomach, thankfully, approved! The macaroni and cheese was delicious. I am very critical of mac and cheese(of all the things to be critical of…) and this one got my seal of approval! Creamy, soft, and tasty. I didn’t get to taste the potato salad because I was so full, but my boyfriend said it was quite vinegary and tasted a lot of dill. I’d probably order another side in the future. They had sweet tea, which I’m always a fan of! It didn’t disappoint. My boyfriend liked the brisket, pulled pork, and ribs that he tried. Overall, we agreed that we would be back soon! Glad to have a solid BBQ place so close by for the time being.

food overpriced for the portions served. meat was dry, green beans were all water and overcooked to mushiness. my son’s fried okra never came so I had to go to the counter to remind them that he was waiting for it, AND we never got the pickle despite asking for it twice. Bozos«working» there are polite but could care less. only 2 other customers, so there was no excuse. I won’t return to this BBQ. it’s not a hard job, dudes, but you gotta’ pull the earbuds out and concentrate on the job. your nonchalance ruined my dinner.

Wow! This place went downhill fast. They built a brick wall in front of their counter and, once you figure out where to order, you have to yell over the top of it. Got my food fast, but the Styrofoam container it came in had grease all over the top. Luckily I opened the container, since there was no BBQ sauce. The cashier was also occupied by baling water from the overflow tray of the soda machine. See a store closing in the near future.

I was disappointed in the food but not surprised; it’s a chain restaurant after all. Despite their claims of Hickory smoked goodness, the pulled pork was bland and the sides underwhelming — I had coleslaw and baked beans. The protocol are large but that’s meaningless when the food is tasteless. The bbq sauces were standard and all were St. Louis style. The best part of my meal was the free ice cream, a tasty vanilla soft-serve.

Thought it was a lot better about a year ago. Glad I didn’t review it then. Possibly an off day or new owners but the food was cold, the cuts were fatty and service was ‘meh. DONOTORDERTHEMACANDCHEESE. Potato salad was pretty good if you like dill! Sauces are good but they all taste pretty much the same…

Wish I could give this place NEGATIVE stars. The food is… okay. The managers and most of the employees… good. The owners… HORRIBLE. We were overcharged for our food and nothing was done to remedy the situation for a month. The owner finally got in touch with me and was very defensive and mean to me on the phone. I explained that I didn’t even want my money back at this point, I just wanted an apology for taking a month to get in touch with me after being overcharged for our meals. I’m sure she could honestly care less about me not coming back, but after being treated and talked to the way she did to me, I will definitely not be coming back and will be warning everyone else to stay away.

*This review is for the catering only as I haven’t(will never) eaten at the restaurant. We ordered catering for 25 people for my brother’s rehearsal dinner. We entered the information on the website and received a quote. We then spoke with someone at the restaurant to confirm the order. The day of the dinner just before the food was due to arrive we receive a call from the driver and they are clear on the other side of town. We gave her the address again and gave her directions. She finally arrived late with cold food and no receipt. We gave her a tip anyway and went on with dinner. We never received a receipt so we had to wait until our credit card statement came. What was quoted to us as $ 280(totally reasonable) was billed for $ 310. Since we had NORECEIPT we had no idea why so we went to the store to investigate. Alarmingly when we got to the store there was no manager but the person who took our information indicated that we were not the first people to come in with this issue that day. Apparently, we were charged a delivery fee! First off the Dickey’s website states: «Complimentary delivery and setup within 10 miles» Our location was 4.5 miles from the restaurant. Second off the food was delivered late and cold. Oh and thirdly they had no receipt(in case I didn’t mention it) *Dickey’s does state in the quote that if it is more than 10 miles that the restaurant can charge a delivery fee. I assume the driver went more than 10 miles, but since we wrote the correct address on the quote(I do have that) its not our fault they got lost and thus not something we should ever have been charged for. On top of that due to the driver’s inability to look up directions our food was late and cold. Admittedly I was willing to overlook the late and cold part because of the mix-up. UNTIL they charged us $ 30. Next time I need catering I will find a different chain/restaurant.

have tried this bbq place at least 5 times. Every time I have ordered a 3 meat combo which is by no means cheap. 16 bucks with drink. Every time they served old dried out burnt meat that has been sitting in their hot box all day. The portions are very small like the cook has his thumb on the scale. At least 2 of the 3 meats are trash. The case doesnt even keep the meat warn. By the time you sit down its stone cold. They do this while you can clearly see they have perfectly good product in the hot case. They instead serve lukewarm burnt dried out crap that should have been in the trash hours before. I have been ripped off by them trying to serve this rubbish one too many times. DONOTGOTOTHISLOCATION… They will only try to rip you off by serving you things that should not be served and hope you dont complain. I simply dont understand their business model. They refuse to toss anything out to save money??? Only to instead serve gross food you paid good money for over and over. Old product that is not edible. While they have good product they are waiting to go old and they sell that only when it turns disgusting. I really wish I had taken a picture of my meal tonight just so you could see how bad it was. Its far beyond them trying to save a buck. How can they not see that they loose far more money by serving bad product. People do not come back idiots!!! If the owner ever reads this stop being so cheap. Stop trying to sell inedible crap to people for good money. We are not stupid. The money you think your are saving is at the detriment of your whole business. WAKEUP. Or just keep it up and go out of business. Im sure when you fail and loose it all you will be so confused on why you failed. Guess what idiot this is why! Dont think people want to eat something that should be in the trash. There are plenty of places which will serve better and fresher food at the same price. You will loose with this business model

First of all the staff was friendly. However the BBQ is not so great. McDonald’s Mcribb has more flavor. I ordered a 3 meat platter and got pulled pork, brisket, and turkey. Not one of the meats had any smoke flavor. They were moist but flavorless. The sauces they have are pretty good, I guess that’s where they expect the meat to be flavored. If you like good BBQ look elswhere, but if you like bland British food this is your cup of tea.

Went to this location, nothing about the food was good. I have eaten at other locations and it was a lot better. I had the pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese and couldn’t even finish it, just low quality and not fresh.

I stopped here for a quick and late lunch today. The service was friendly, the guy who took my order greeted me as soon as I walked in and told me about the special. He even politely answered a few questions I had about the menu since I have never eaten here before. I ended up getting the«big brisket sandwich» and a side of potato salad. I was surprised about how small the«big sandwich» really was, it was served on a standard size hamburger bun, the side of potato salad was also on the small side. For the price I would prefer a bit more food to be honest. In hindsight I should of gotten the three rib, two side, and drink special for $ 8.99. The brisket and potato salad were decent, the brisket was a little dry but nothing a lot of BBQ sauce couldn’t fix; i mixed the spicy and sweet sauce and it was really good. The place was fairly clean considering I came after the lunchtime rush which is a plus. I would suggest ordering whatever special they have as the sandwiches are a little disappointing. While I’ve had better BBQ, my food was decent and the service was prompt and friendly. I would come here again and likely order something else.

How do you run out of turkey, chicken, and ham at 6:30 on a Saturday night?! Last night we placed an order for pick up. When we went to pick it up, surprise! They were sold out of what we had ordered. To make matters worse they did not bother to mention you need to grab your own BBQ sauce for to-go orders. Not cool Dickey’s! Even though we had an improvised dinner of sauce-less brisket, it still tasted pretty good. We have always enjoyed Dickey’s BBQ but I would suggest visiting another location.

I really wanted to review the one in Thornton off of Grant and give it a very negative review but it is not on Unilocal yet. That leads me to this review, I love THIS location. I have been coming here since before they opened the Grant St dickies closer to me, and I have never been disappointed. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because it’s not like the bbq I have had in the south. I know it’s a fast food place but when you compare it to a franchise like bar b cutie its not quite on par. For Colorado though it is the best fast food BBQ I have had. With this in mind avoid the Thornton location. Drive a bit extra for the quality of food and service. Review for that store coming soon!

I’ve had better BBQs, yes, but I like Dickey’s business model. Clean and unique looking dining area, free ice cream everyday for customers, friendly staff, their reusable big yellow cups, and relevant promotions(did you know every month they feature a new promo on Mondays? For February, I had the $ 2 spicy chicken sandwich and it was skimpy at all! In March, they’ll have The Westerner sandwich with any meat choice for $ 5). I was back one Sunday night because I had a Buy One Get One coupon for the 2-meat plate(with purchase of 2 drinks). A rundown of all our foods: — Ribs and pulled pork were super good, especially the latter, so tender! — Mac n cheese: my boyfriend always gets that. I «spiked» it with some BBQ sauce and it was better — green beans with bacon: he can blame me for getting this ’cause I wanted green veggies, the green beans really tasted like canned food. We helped ourselves to more bacon bits from the condiment counter — polish sausage and honey ham(I’d wanted briskets but they were out so I got these two, I hope they were at least better than chicken or turkey breasts…) — baked potato casserole: sounds fancy but it’s just some too-dry mashed potatoes with bacon bits and without gravy, thank God there was sour cream to be had — jalapeño beans: another mistake, should’ve stuck with the plain old BBQ beans — 2 rolls: I really enjoyed their bread My boyfriend wasn’t going to leave with out making himself a float, and kudos to him for doing that, the dude knows how to enjoy! :-)
