We enjoy weekend brunch at Fox Airfield. The food is okay(Jim LOVES their ham), the service is almost always understaffed but friendly, the view is uniquely Antelope Valley, and it’s usually a quiet, meandering experience.

This place used to be good. We waited 45 minutes for an order of tacos. Side order was incorrect. Friends food was cold. Terrible.

Stopped in for lunch after seeing a sign while driving by after visiting a nearby park. A waitress told us the specials for that day and brought our coffee right away which was very good and tasted fresh — there is nothing worse than paying for a cup of coffee that tastes like it was brewed hours before. I had the BLT sandwich with avocado — the bacon was nice and crispy just like I prefer! My friend had an omelet which she said was also very good. We will definitely go back next time we are in the area. This is the second small airport coffee shop we have eaten at and both are very good! Fun to watch planes take off and land and the view of the mountains in the distance toward Mojave are very pretty.

Quality classic diner food + diner prices= winning breakfast This place set the bar of diner breakfasts. Everything tastes fresh(I usually get the omelette), their toasts are yummy, coffee is always delish. I love taking friends here as the location is very unique and décor is absolutely fun and interesting. All aeronautical and since the diner has windows all on one side, you can eat and enjoy seeing the planes or helicopters fly in and out. Love this diamond in Lancaster boondocks.

I was due to be at a hangar nearby in an hour or so to take an exam for a USPS position. I had heard of another Foxy’s restaurant nearby, and thought I’d take a look. Seeing as how I’d had some pretty good experiences at their locations in California City and Mojave. When I entered the tiny airport, walked up to the door of the place, I saw an empty restaurant. Chairs were up on tables. I thought the place was closed. I looked at their hours to be sure, and they should have been open for another hour or so. Bummed, I turned back to my car. I exited the airport, and sat down in my car. Unsure of what to do for an hour. I looked at the clock in my car, and after a minute or so ticked away, I decided to give the place another shot. After all, they weren’t supposed to close for another hour. Why were they closed? I walked back, and tugged on the door gently. To my surprise, it opened. A woman was manning the lone register, looking like she was counting it down. I asked hesitantly if they were open, and with a smile she nodded and quickly led me to a table by the window. Before I knew it I had a menu and cold iced tea set before me. She went about cleaning the place while I reviewed the menu and decided what I wanted. The place was completely empty. I was the sole customer of the place, and it was super quiet. Looking around, it seemed to contain a similar ‘airplane’ theme to the other locations I’d been too. Models of planes, pictures of fighter jets and other aircraft adorned the walls of the darkened restaurant. The menus are pretty similar at all their locations. So I’d seen it before. I just had to realize which historical airplane I had to eat. I was looking for something pseudo healthy. I’ve been feeling a bit fluffy lately. I went with the Bomber. A tuna sandwich, and a side of fries. Pseudo healthy: Check. Sitting alone at the table, I took some time to simply stare out the window at the runway and admire the amazing clouds. Then I turned to my gameboy to entertain myself whilst the food was prepared and delivered. A few Super Mario Brothers levels later, my food arrived. It looked great! Grilled and buttery goodness wafted from the sandwich. I tested a fry, because who’s really going to miss a fry in a Unilocal photo? It was crispy and seasoned. It was also super duper hot. Well done Foxy’s! After the Unilocal photo I dug in and took a bite of the sandwich. I’m not a big tuna salad sandwich guy. So I’m hardly an expert on the subject. But this was honestly one of the best tuna sandwiches I’ve ever had. I was actually a little bit sad when I had eaten it all. The cook came out to help the lady clean up for the day, and I complimented him on his work. According to the lady, he’s been cooking this sandwich for seventeen years. Well, he did it right. Since Lancaster is a bit of a hike, I’m not sure when I’ll get back up to this place. But I definitely will. And in the meantime, I’ll have that story about the best tuna sandwich I’ve ever had.

So let me start by saying the 4 stars are for the airplane memorabilia they have and the view. Nice atmosphere. I came here for breakfast and ordered a full stack and sausage. The sausage was good although I’ve had better. The pancakes were very thin. I’m not a fan of thin pancakes. I like mine thick or semi thick. So I couldn’t really get a good flavor but the batter itself cause it had alot of butter on it. I will give this place another chance and order something different.

This is a very cool place in Lancaster, out in the middle of nowhere(not counting the Lancaster airport that is). The drive up is fun because they have built a section of the road on Avenue G that actually plays, I believe, the 1812 Overture as you drive over it. Kid’s will love this place. It’s a small diner in the small 50ish airport terminal(sort of mid-century modern). You have a great view of the airplanes taking off and landing as you eat. A very«local» place(I guess including pilots and such). The food is classic diner American comfort food. This place is a must see if you are spending a day in the Antelope Valley. There are other branches of «Foxy’s» I still need to check out.

They are friendly, service is OK, but I’ve had breakfast here twice and both times things just didn’t seem fresh or taste quite right. Don’t know how their lunch is. Breakfast is a little pricey for what you get especially when it’s not that good, I would pass on going there again for breakfast. The breakfast at the Diamond Jim’s Casino in Rosamond is a much better deal and the food is excellent, been there quite a few times and lunch/dinner is also good plus open 24⁄7.

Came here for breakfast with the family, including an 18 month old baby. Our server was gracious, kind and and attentive even though she was the only one on the floor. Service was timely and the food was good, though a bit overpriced(maybe because it’s at the airport).

Love coming here too eat after flying, waitress are friendly ! Food is good, this is a nice place to come after I’ve been flying and just relax and reflect on the lesson that I had just had for the day. Also get to enjoy watching the planes come in and land take off which is awesome to me.

This is a great local place to eat. Have always had good service and tasty food. It’s close to Apollo Park too. Stop and have a bite to eat first and then take a leisurely stroll around the lake at the park. A nice way to start your day!

I just recently tried this place even though I’ve been living in the AV forever. Food was tasty, however it was nearly ice cold. The restaurant itself was clean and the waitresses were very nice, but I think they were new because they kept mixing up orders and were having a hard time keeping everything straight(we were a rather large crowd). The only other qualm I have is that there were quite a few flies inside the restaurant and we had to keep swatting them away– not pleasant when you’re trying to eat. It was nice to watch the planes take off– even saw an old WW2 plane. I would try this place again because like I said it was tasty, just cold.

Pretty tasty food for a decent price. Stopped in enroute KPRC to KCCR. Really quick service and good food. Portion sizes inconsistent. Good size omelet and sandwich, however the crispy chicken strips were tiny. Also has wifi, nice to file a flight plan on foreflight super quick. Wouldn’t go out of my way for it but it’s good to stop at if you’re nearby!

Great«Hidden» Gem in the Middle of Nowhere! Foxy’s is a fabulous little diner in the General Aviation Airport, Fox Field. It’s located west of Lancaster on Avenue G &60th street West. The little restaurant is actually in the airport. You can watch the planes(and helicopters!) take off and land as you eat. Great views from every table. The food was good, although priced a bit high. But I guess when you compare it to a large comercial airport, it’s a bargain! Will we go back? You bet! As a resident of the«middle of nowhere» it’s one of the few places to eat!!!

Awesome place! I’ve been here for 30 years and never are here. I ordered the million dollar burger. If you have a love for burgers and a big appetite definitely get this! Everything else ordered by my family was amazing as well. I highly recommend this place. Everyone was very nice there!

The food here is OK, however the airport views are really extraordinary! Beware of being lost in a «Service black hole» if you choose to sit in the corner towards the control tower where the staff cannot see you. Good place to watch planes, or debrief your last flight.

I was headed to Musical Road with my dad, nephew, and my nephews girlfriend and I thought Foxy’s would be a good place for lunch. I had seen the Foxy’s sign when I had gone to Apollo Park a couple of years back but I had never tried the place, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to remedy that! It doesn’t look like there is a restaurant there, follow the signs and go into the brick building. A lobby will be in front of you and you will find the restaurant to the right(keep going past the restaurant if you want to visit the bathroom before you eat). In the entry where the waitress /cashier is you will find model aircraft hanging from the ceiling and photos on the wall, pass that you will find the dining area where you can be seated along the windows facing the airstrip. Something for everyone can be found on the menu, from breakfast that is served all day to appetizers, soups & salads, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, Mexican, and desserts. I ordered the«Peanut Butter Burger»: Burger, Swiss Cheese, Bacon, Peanut Butter & Lettuce. My dad ordered«The Perfect Landing»: Two Eggs, Two Slices of Bacon, Two Sausage Patties, Choice of Hash Browns or Home Fries and Toast. Includes Coffee. My nephew ordered«Philly Cheesesteak»: Grilled Steak with Cheese, Bell Pepper, Onion, and BBQ Sauce on a Roll. My nephews girlfriend ordered«The B-17»: Slices of Turkey, and Swiss Cheese on Grilled Sourdough Bread with Bacon & Tomato. After we finished I asked everyone how they would rate their food. They all came up 4 and the individual comments would be: Me, good & interesting, Dad, good, they don’t skimp on the food, Nephew, Really Good!, Nephews Girlfriend, Tasty! I think Foxy’s would be enjoyed by anyone who like diner style restaurants and especially those who have a interest in aviation. The place may be a little rough but for me that is part of the charm, I feel much more comfortable in a place like this where I can relax and enjoy my meal rather that someplace where I have to wear a tie and be flabbergasted at the price of the appetizers. Before I forget I should mention that the service was excellent, I only saw one waitress who was doing double duty as cashier but she was at our table several times to see how we were doing and bringing drink refills.

«Hey Lance, where’s the bathroom?» (with a straight face) «You gotta go through terminal A.» Is this restaurant in an airport? YES Does that mean you should avoid it? HELLNO After a rousing visit to California City, my friends and I spotted the well placed sign for Foxy’s ALLYOUCANEATRIBS for $ 13.99. We knew we had to go. As we drove down Mitchell Blvd, past all the paved streets with no homes, we approached the airport, uncertain where Roxy’s actually was — and then we realized it — it was IN the airport. Most of us got the rib plate(not sure if it’s a Saturday special as it wasn’t on the menu) and it included: Soup OR salad Unlimited ribs Vegetables Baked potato OR mashed potato OR french fries OR waffle fries(seasoned) Now, with such a bounty at such a low price, one would expect a dearth of quality in the food but oh no. That would be incorrect. Instead, the ribs were actually quite good. Not the best I’ve ever had, but far from the worst. The sauce was sweet and had a little bit of a kick, and the meat nearly fell off the bone. And they keep coming, in racks of 4. The beers only $ 2 but, as a friend noticed, the tapped beer tasted a little skunky. Perhaps the bottled beer is the best road to travel on in this town. So when you visit California city, make sure you stop at Foxy’s. And don’t forget the ducks!
