I do not like cake donuts. BUT I love the donuts from FP. Piping hot and fresh, they are so delicious! And they have tons of different combinations of frostings and toppings to try, in addition to the fact that you can come up with your own. Sad to see that they’ll be closing April 19th, so I’ll definitely have to come back and get my fill before that happens.

I have to admit, I’ve never seen a place with more variety in donuts! These things are fresh, made to order, HOT and delicious! Seriously, if you’ve never tried the fractured prune(I know, an odd name for a place known for donuts), you owe it to yourself to stop by. I normally try to avoid sugary carbs, but if you’re going to cheat on your diet, what better way to do it than grabbing an amazing donut and coffee from the Fractured Prune?

We were recently in Lancaster and decided we would stop here after a late lunch. We got there shortly after 3 and the doors were locked(they close at 3). As we turned to walk away, a kind, young man opened the door to tell us they were closed. He handed us a box with a half dozen donuts for free! We took them back to our hotel and warmed them up. They were delicious! We will definitely make sure to stopin during their open hours next time we’re in town!

These doughnuts are ALL made-to-order! So they are hot! And delicious! And you end up going back for another!(and maybe even another) Crazy, crazy good. Definitely worth the calories and the stop if you’re ever in Lancaster.

We’ve been to the location in Ocean City, Maryland before and know just how delish these donuts really are, so we were excited to find a Fractured Prune outlet up in Lancaster. It’s not too often that I indulge in such sweet treats anymore, but I had to make an exception for this place! I had my old standby, the O.C. Sand, while my husband decided on a Plain Jane(he likes ‘em without anything on them, which can be just as good sometimes) — just as in the Ocean City location, the donuts here were hot, fresh and delicious as hell. The only thing that was really«missing» was the soft ocean-scented breezes that come in from the coast… but I can live with that. Apparently, they’ve expanded locations quite a bit since our first visit in 2011 — in a way, this is a good thing since everyone can now partake in a bit of this insane, sinful goodness, but in a way I wish they hadn’t because now … well, everyone can now partake of this insane, sinful goodness. Also, I loved the«individuality» of this place when it was just a couple of locations — I fear that going national will ruin that vibe. But, I guess we’ll see what happens. Good to know that we can get some hot, fresh FP donuts in Chandler, Arizona, if we so crave them! Definitely recommended.

Absolutely LOVE their donuts. NOTHING beats a fresh donut individually topped with custom toppings. Heaven on a plate. Dozen of donuts is just dangerously delicious as well. If you’re a donut lover on a diet — stay away! :)

I don’t think that I knew what a donut was until I came here. My boyfriend and I stopped by here on whim and decided to try their donuts. They are made to order and we ordered the lemonade donut and another one that was berry-flavored. When we received the box and I looked at the donuts I was so disappointed because they were small!!! I am used to dunkin donut’s-sized donuts. But when we walked back home and tried them… WOW. They were so good. Just moist, warm, and absolutely delicious. We wished that we had bought 10 more. I plan on coming back frequently and trying all of their other donuts, as well as mustering the creativity to make my own. If you want one of the best donuts out there, try this place. You won’t be disappointed.

We were looking for a quick good place to eat for breakfast, and found this on Unilocal. There was no wait and the staff were very friendly. We got a dozen donuts of the cashiers choice and they were DELICIOUS! Warm and gooey when they came out. My personal favorites we’re carnival and puppy chow. I totally recommend this to anyone who’s in the area and looking for a great breakfast!

I came across the Fractured Prune while looking for a place near the convention center for a quick breakfast. The reviews were really stellar and I can see why. While I wouldn’t call this fine dining, I’d call it funky, fun, and tasty food. The donuts are all plain, but there are so many combinations of wet and dry toppings that ordering right away may seem intimidating. I ended up with a breakfast sandwich on a donut and about a dozen to go so I could sample the various flavor combinations and share with friends. It was such a treat, I went back there again. I highly recommend the cinnamon and berry, sounds funky but tastes amazing. The only criticism I could offer would be that it felt understaffed. The two men behind the counter did their best to keep up with demand. The short wait was bearable and I was impressed by their speed. Still, a third person would’ve cut the frantic energy down.

OMFG!!! These donuts were absolutely phenomenal! A couple of co-workers and I were in different parts of PA for a 10 day business trip. One had been staying in Lancaster so we decided to meet there and spend our weekend off together rather than alone in our respective hotel rooms. The hotel was about a Chicago block away from the donut shop or two Lancaster blocks as half of their streets looked like alleys to us. They each wanted one donut. I came back with six because they looked so good. We went with signature flavors because we didn’t completely understand this concept of designing your own. You can take their basic cake donut — FP only uses cake donuts– pick your glaze flavor, pick your toppings, pick frosting if you want. You basically create your own donut. Bee-tee-dubs… I think that is an amazing idea. If I didn’t have hungry coworkers texting me asking about where their donuts were I totally would have created some of our own. I ordered a French toast, an oc glaze, a rainbow sprinkle, and three different chocolate chip varietals. The glaze actually seeps into the cake making them incredibly moist. When served fresh and hot, we were able to cut one in half with a coffee stirrer! Yes, you read that right! They were so soft and fresh a coffee stirrer cut through it and it retained it’s shape! Even later that evening when I wanted a snack and the donuts were no longer hot, they still tasted amazing. Not dry. Just perfect.

If you are in or around Lancaster, even if it’s 30 minutes or so out of your way, stop by Fractured Prune. You won’t regret it. Totally a one-of-a-kind establishment. They have an impressive assortment of flavors, some old fashioned favorites like cinnamon sugar and some new interesting ones like café mocha or s’more. They are made fresh to order. Literally fried as you’re putting your order in. They are cake donuts, and while I prefer yeast donuts, these were fantastic. Beyond yummy and I’m not a sweets person. I docked one star because the next day, they really lost so much flavor. However, donuts are meant to be eaten the day-of, so can’t fault them too much. Other Unilocalers commented on the atmosphere, but I think it was perfect. Very clean and spacious. Yummy time! Seriously. Go try!

I stopped in here today with my girlfriend for breakfast. I thought it would be a cute little place to enjoy a meal, but it was not very welcoming at all. the outside looks cool, but in the inside they were very few places to sit and even fewer places to eat at a table. The atmosphere was also awkward it was very quiet with no music in the background and we felt out of place sitting there to eat. We ordered burritos and they came very un-garnished in little plastic serving things. They were also messy and very very hard to eat because the burrito was cracking apart and dripping badly with salsa. The egg in the burritos was cut up processed egg stuff. The Blueberry Hill donut we got was really neat! it was freshly made, warm, and very delicious. If you’re just getting donuts or ordering fancy variety donuts for a party, I say go for it but if you’re trying to eat at a cute little restaurant, don’t go to the fractured prune in Lancaster.

They just don’t make donuts like this any more. Sigh. Fractured Prune is an oldie but goodie. I’m so happy we stumbled upon this place while driving thru Lancaster. The donuts flavors are out of this world. All your fav sweets rolled into a donut, pretty much. The donuts are freshly made to order, once you select your flavors, they hand dip and top the donuts to your liking. The donuts are then boxed and you can eat them on the spot while they are hot and gooey, or you can let them sit and have them later. I prefer having them a little later when the icing are hardened. The flavors are good. We got 4 flavors to share, creamsicle, chocolate chip french toast, blueberry hill, and mint chip. All were very good. I would recommend saving it as more of a dessert place then breakfast.

I’m not a cake donut person. I never have been. But still, the idea of these interested me, so I had to try. I’ll say, hot cake donuts are great. These cake donuts are particularly moist(not dry like normal) and yummy. I had the OC Sand(honey glaze and cinnamon sugar) and enjoyed it. My husband, who is not a donut eater, loved his SMores(marshmallow, chocolate chips, and graham cracker crumbs) donut. These are more like dessert donuts than what you’d pick up at the store or chain donut place. They are sweet and messy, but quite yummy and the variety alone should draw you in. We also tried a breakfast sandwich, bacon, egg, and cheese on pretzel. The egg and cheese and pretzel part were quite yummy, but I’ll skip the bacon next time. Small shop, but it’s worth eating in as the donut is best right there, warm and gooey.

Not a fan. I was really excited to try this place out based on the solid Unilocal reviews and the mouth watering pictures of «designer doughnuts» on Fractured Prune’s website. How can anything that sounds and looks so good disappoint you ask? Well first of all, when I walked in the place it looked like a chain. Not a cute, small chain – but something that might as well have the décor of Dunkin’ Donuts. The place smelled like bleach when I walked up to the counter, and when I went up to someone to take my order, he directed me over to the guy next to him to place my order. I saw both male employees touch their faces multiple times and then go back to preparing food. And nobody making food was wearing gloves as far as I can tell. No worries about sanitation at this place. Certainly not worth the crazy high price for a single doughnut for $ 1.75! Yikes! Had the atmosphere been good and my worries about sanitation not there, the price would have been a non-issue. But I’m not gonna pay that kinda price & not get a desirable atmosphere too. Now about the doughnut I tried. I got the Blueberry Hill which was made-to-order by a dude wearing no gloves. It pretty much was a hot blueberry cake doughnut with some hot blueberry gaze thrown on top. I realized from this experience though that I don’t care about my doughnut being hot and might even prefer it cold. Because the glaze was served warm it was extremely messy to eat. Not bad tasting, but a 50 or 75 cent doughnut at just about any place would be just as good. Lower your expectations if you decide to come here.

Move over Krispy Kreme! This place is going to kick your hiney if it ever makes franchise! Another place I have to come to when I visit is Fractured Prune. How can you compete with homemade donuts in a complete variety of different flavors and combinations? They have some funky combos, and then they even allow you to create your own mix of flavors. What?! I can have mine with peanut butter and chocolate chips over a glazed donut? No way! Seriously, this place is glorious with their extensive donut menu. Oh, and for you guys who love breakfast, they serve AWESOME breakfast bagels. The location helps it get the business it earns, but the customer service is key. They have seating areas for those who don’t want to go sit in their office break room, with Wi-Fi and some outlets so people can charge their phones. I was a regular here until I moved, now I just stop in when I want a breakfast bagel and something sickeningly sweet and made to order. If you like donuts with some really cool options, this is the place for you!

Fractured Prune is doughnut paradise! On our way to a wedding in Ephrata, my friends, the boyfriend, and I decided to make a quick stop through Lancaster. Our destination, the Fractured Prune. We had heard from my boyfriend’s sister that the doughnuts had funky flavors and were homemade. Not a hard sell if you ask me. You immediately walk in and immediately smell wonderful sugary smells. that’s the smell of the doughnuts being dropped into the flyer. If you guessed that, 10 points! The staff was friendly and patiently explained the different flavors. I’m sorry I was a Fractured Prune newbie! The doughnuts are fresh and made to order, you just select your toppings. Glorious toppings. Wonderful combinations of sugar and chocolate, on top of a sugary fried dough. What more could you ask for? We ordered 4 doughnuts: Morning Buzz, Resee’s Cup, Strawberry Shortcake, and O.C. Sand. I tried the Morning Buzz and devoured the Strawberry Shortcake. Actually, we all devoured our doughnuts. If they weren’t so hot I probably could have eaten mine in 4 bites instead of 6. With all the delicious treats they place on the doughnuts, they did not break apart the second you bite into one. That to me is a sign of a good doughnut. I’m not an expert but I’d say Fractured Prune knows what they’re doing when it comes to doughnuts. Fractured Prune also offers sandwiches and other non-doughnut items. I stayed with the doughnuts. I really can’t complain. Only that I wish Fractured Prune wasn’t so far away… but maybe that’s a good thing. Gives me a reason to come visit Lancaster again!

Holy sugar coma batman. I sit here happily with chocolate smeared on my face and the knowledge that I may soon die of a heart attack by donut. They make these donuts fresh to order and they’re warm delicious and put the«hot now» by Krispy Kreme to shame. Thank The Lord I don’t live anywhere near by or I would be on intervention. Sadly after taking our treats home with us we realized that they do not taste as good once they’ve cooled down. I’m not going to downgrade my rating though because I think that you should go in, have one fresh to order and enjoy it for what it is.

Fresh donuts made to order. Whaaaat? Yessssss. I’m not a big donuts fan but even I have to bow to Fractured Prune for making some tasty fried dough that I was unable to refuse. They have more than 15 flavors and they fry them when you order them. Hot, fresh and not big so you can order a few if you have a big appetite or just one if you are watching your figure.
