Another great night at Sato! I really like the SATO SPECIAL ROLL wrapped in salmon instead of tuna. Salmon Roe is a small delicious treat but could be too salty for some. Hot sake is a must. Go large! Tonight Sushi chef Alex took excellent care of me. Josh is always a great leader! I’ll keep coming back until I move away!
Soft melt in your mouth sushi everytime! But don’t take my word for it, try it yourself! I only sit at the bar.

Went on a sat afternoon and the place was not busy. Sat at the sushi bar and met Alex, our sushi chef. We were treated very well by Alex and our waiter and waitress. Hubby had the bento box with tempura and sashimi and he loved it! I had a couple of rolls. The fish was fresh and sushi rolled nicely with just the right amount of rice that doesn’t fall apart when picked up. Miso soup is delicious. We loved the food that we ordered a couple of rolls to take home for dinner. All in all our bill before tip was approx 70 $. Thanks Alex for taking care of the us. We will be back!

I love this place. Servers are friendly and the chefs are great.
Sit at the bar if you want to make special requests, it’s way easier to speak directly with the chefs making it. Joshua is always helpful when it comes to exploring new rolls to try!
Writing this post as my foods being made. Cant wait to come back and nom again soon!

It was nice and quiet considering the place was half empty but still took 10 minutes to get drinks. The service was absolutely horrible. The worst I’ve had at any restaurant in my life. The food was nothing more then decent and the server had the audacity to tell me I ordered a completely different item that was nothing like what I had ordered and was plane rude! I will never go back. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Did take out here yesterday. The service was friendly, the food was pretty good, just ordered a few handrolls, and it wasn’t expensive. I’ve been out in the av for almost 2 years, and I regret not trying this place before. I’m definitely going to be back very soon.

Well I’ll give this place one star just because the garlic edemame was good. This sushi is by far the worst I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The sushi is dry, the rice is stale, there’s no flavor to it. I will definitely NEVER go back.

Mold. So I went here to try and give it another shot but I was just disgusted by the that was in the bottom of the cup never will I eat there I also found hair in my food gross, no one even said sorry nothing. Terrible service, called to place a order the guy I talked to told me that he is closed well you business said you’re open till 10 not 9:40 thanks for that dude not going to go there anyore

I go by this place all the time and finally decided to give it a try tonight. I really enjoyed it. The service was great as well as the food. Our waitress gave us helpful suggestions and we were given some complimentary sushi as well. Overall I had a great first time experience and I will be back.

Came here for the first time a few weeks ago. The sushi was very fresh, very tasty. No soy sauce needed at all! Brought my family to try also, and they loved it as well. I lived in L.A. and the quality and price here is waaaay better. Staff is friendly. Overall great place.

Very happy they got rid of Hannah! Now I visit regularly again. I am a sushi lover and I love the food here. The only problem I’ve ever had here was the waitress, Hannah — she was an unapologetic, rude bi – h — but as I said, she’s gone, so I’m back!

This is my new go to sushi place in Antelope Valley. I’m so happy that I found this gem. Their Tempura was very crispy and light, just the way I like it. Rolls were amazingly good with fresh fish and tasty tangy sauce. I tried some vegetable special Temaki, which was so~ delicious with a hint of lemon sauce. My friend had a lunch box and pleased with it. The price was very reasonable. The sushi chef and staff were very friendly. I can’t wait to try everything on their menu in near future.

Ok soooooo I’m more than a sushi lover and this place is a must try. I’m not from the area and I was visiting a friend. First off Maggie was amazing! She was our server. Answered all of our questions and she recommended many perfect rolls which we had told her what our preferences were. The sushi chef josh made all the delicious rolls and sashimi we had and We could’ve been more pleased. I can’t wait to come here again when we’re in town! Thanks again to the awesome staff! I will definitely ask for them when we return

Great fun place with amazing food! We were visiting on business and asked the hotel where was the best sushi in town. She directed us to Sato. Great recommendation! The owner Josh is a great host and buys amazing fresh fish. Mitchell and Patrick work the sushi bar and create great dishes. Ask Mitchell for his Ron Burgundy roll! Awesome! Their jalapeño shrimp popcorn roll is very tasty and a great selection of sake. We were entertained by this fun loving trio and with the great food it was a very wonderful evening. Cannot wait to go back!

I am terribly disappointed with what Sato has turned in to. That used to be my favorite Sushi place it was reasonably priced with fresh tasty sushi. But this last time was awful, the sushi was dry looking as if it had been sitting uncovered
and I would not touch it especially considering all the possible contaminates with raw fish. I mentioned this to the waiter he talked with the chef and his reply was «I just cut it this morning.» There is no way that was true. I have been eating sushi for a very long time and I know how fresh looks. They did not fix my order or even apologize. On my way out the door I said «I will not be coming here anymore.». It was an unpleasant experience.

I went with friends who eat sushi. I don’t. I ordered the terriyaki chicken. It was not normal chicken. It was a pressed and formed chicken. Gelatinous texture made to look like chicken. Disgusting.
Salad was just shredded iceburg lettuce. Boring.
I did like the dressing on the lettuce and miso soup. But I’d never come back here again.

So I went here with my two girlfriends and I wasn’t overly impressed. I had the crunch rolls. It was alright. Wasn’t nothing spectacular. The ambience was chill and relaxing. They had music playing and the playoff games on the t.v. i won’t go here again unless my friend suggests it. My friends rolls weren’t packed tight. They were loose and fell apart when she tried picking then up.

We ordered an appetizer of Garlic Edamame. Simply outstanding! I could
Order this with a glass of plum wine and be happy.
My husband and I had the dinner box with hot sake and plum wine. Again, perfect timing and served exactly as ordered. The staff was very attentive and checked in on us frequently.
Lastly, we ordered the Mochi Green Tea Ice Cream for dessert upon recommendation from staff. They were not wrong. Really good.
This is why we keep coming back!
