This sandwich shop has been a long standing favorite here in the AV. The food is always fresh and delicious! Luv the Antipasto salad! The ½# pastrami is great when you’re hungry!
The only downside to this place is the staff ~ not friendly!!! The impression they give is they want you away from them as quickly as possible:(

BEST. SANDWICH. SHOP. IN. THE. AV. My absolute FAVORITE place to get a sandwich because everything is so fresh tasting. Their pastrami special is delicious, especially with pepperocinis! Good portions for what you pay… It’s a little bit more than Subway, but the customer service and quality of the food is well worth it.

The Kansas city sub is the best! Always great food and have been eating here for years! One of the few places I’ll Let put tomatoes on my food because they are always fresh. Check out the window specials every week for a really good price on a sandwich!

Nice tasting wheat bread, lots of toppings. The problem is the meat is cut really thin, not quality cut, and one little slice along the bread. After my third bite of bread and toppings, I got some deli meat out of the fridge and added it to my sandwich, which defeats the purpose of purchasing a sandwich.

I went here with my brother, his wife, and my niece for the first time this past Valentine’s Day. I am from NY and hadn’t ever even heard of a Submachine. Honestly, the best sub sandwich place that I have ever been to. Fresh delicious ingredients. What made it even better was the fact that they were so welcoming and the girl who helped us was the sweetest. Her name is Carly if I remember correctly. Super sweet, talked to us, made the experience a pleasant one for sure. It is people like Carly that keep businesses like that going. Great customer service, genuine, and awesome.

Sooo, like twenty years later and they’re still the best. Bread is soft, which I love, the dressing is great and the portions are massive. And If you’ve never tried their salads you’re missing out! Staff is great, not that over the top annoying fake nice. They’re friendly and to the point. Love this place!

Been coming here for several years and never been disappointed. Staff are always friendly, subs are bomb! They have daily deals on subs too which is cool and saves a couple bucks. I recently phone ordered two 4 foot party subs and they were great in ensuring everything was on point. Put all the toppings on the side and gave plenty of them. I’d eat here over Subway any day of the week. It’s a go to spot for subs! When I feel like being a fatty, I’ll go with the Sal. but a great intro sub for anyone that hasn’t tried this place is the turkey club. A must try…

Great staff. They keep the place clean and clearly have a great relationship with the regulars.
But the meat portions in the sandwich were really small with veggies packed in to make a really messy eating experience. It was an ok sandwich, nothing special– not great, not bad.

I see quite a lot of bad reviews but I have to say, this place is really good. I love the sandwiches. The pickles are tasty. I love mom and pop places and get that vibe here. The staff in Lancaster could be a little more friendly at times but it’s always a good sign when you go into the place and there is always a line. Overall the food is great. WAY better than subway!

I love all the sandwiches, but the St. Val’s is my favorite: delicious meatballs, sausage, pastrami, and sauce. Get the Italian wedding soup, if they have it. Staff is always friendly and efficient. They also have delicious self-​serve pickle chunks, which my kids go nuts for.

The worst sandwich I have ever had. It had no meat in it. Lots of vegetables but no meat. I ordered the ham, turkey, cheese, and avocado. and got 1 thin slice of ham, 1 thin slice of turkey, 1 slice of cheese, and avocado, with a couple of scoops of pickles, olives, and onions. They never offered tomatoes, peppers or other toppings. It was slathered in dressing and was pretty inedible. I went back in the next day to complain and was told there was nothing they could do, I had to complain on the day the sandwich was made. I guess customer service isn’t very important

The indoor seating is kind of cramped, but there is some shared outdoor seating for overflow, weather permitting.
I Had the Chef Salad as usual, I’m never disappointed! Best salad in town, hands down.
My girlfriend ordered the veggie sandwich. Loves the bakery bread with fresh vegetables and made to order.
My family has been coming here for years. This is always our first choice for subs and salads.

I’ve been here multiple times and their sandwiches are excellent. The workers are always super friendly and helpful.
One thing that I love is that they are not stingy with their meat and toppings. Compared to some other sandwich shops, they pile on everything which makes for a delicious filling sandwich. The fresh baked bread is super soft, and I like how they chop up the toppings. The syndicate is one of my favs. Even my picky 6 year old daughter will scarf down their ham and cheese sandwich.

The location is okay, the service is okay, the foods okay, and the prices are okay.
Location
Located within a strip mall with a few businesses as well as a few empty lots. They have ample seating both inside and outside.
Service
I get that they’re always busy and try and serve their customers right away but I felt extremely rushed and as if I was annoying the employee when asking a question.
Food
I like that they load up the toppings– onions pickles, banana peppers, and jalepenos. I like their wheat bread. It has a nice honey taste to it. I didn’t really care for their meat. I didn’t feel like the quality and taste were there. I ordered the turkey and cheese but didn’t get the option for mesquite turkey or oven roasted turkey, I just got bland turkey. Same goes for the cheese.
Price
8″ turkey and cheese plus chips and a drink were $ 10
Overall
I like Ralph’s sandwiches better. :(

Look into their daily specials because you can get a combo for just under $ 6.
