Had dinner for the first time here tonight and everything was excellent! Had the chili cheese fries for an appetizer and they were great! Fries were cooked crispy enough that they weren’t a soggy mess from the chili, they were just right. Two of us ordered the Cowboy burger; it was enormous and it was cooked perfectly! One of the best burgers I’ve ever had! HAd onion rings as my side and they were also some of the best onion rings I’ve had, nice and crispy! Onion rings were a little salty but personally I really liked that about them! Also ordered the breaded wings, chef accommodated our request to make the wings not just medium, but medium w/garlic and they were excellent! Love the breading, makes the wings very different! Overall the food was excellent! The service was great! The waitress was so nice and helpful, recommended trying the breaded wings which we loved! The owner was very friendly and also checked in with us during our meal! The vibe of the place is just what we were looking for, kind of country, very casual bar, but had a dining area separate from the bar. The place has a beautiful deck out back with horseshoe pits and corn-hole set up to play. We came on a Tuesday night and it appeared to be «poker night» in the bar which is really cool. Also saw they offer Sip n’ Paint nights as well! Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! I’m not from around that area, but wish I lived closer so I could visit more often!

Stopped in here one night, pretty late, while traveling. Jay, the owner, greeted us promptly and said that even though the kitchen was technically closed, he would take care of us. The service was great, the food was awesome, and the prices were unbelievably low. Try the house fries and the provolone sticks. Burgers are awesome too! Thanks again Jay and company! Keep up the great work!!!

Went to eat here with some friends and was surprised at the quality of what we got, considering the high praise this place gets in reviews. We ordered a burger, a pulled pork sandwich, and the southern fried chicken. None of these was especially good, but none was terrible — very middle of the road. The pulled pork(which I got) was lacking in flavor. I had hoped for some kind of distinctive homemade BBQ sauce or something, but it tasted like it came out of a bottle — very forgettable. That plus the copious raw red onions stacked on top did not leave a great impression. The fries were well-cooked and not greasy, but that was about it. Our server was nice, and kept our water glasses filled at regular intervals. The ambience was also a little strange. Hard to explain, but it felt like the restaurant was just waiting to become a bar later in the evening. Like the whole place would switch over to bar mode around 10pm and never look back. Didn’t feel friendly like a local restaurant typically does. Overall, this place is a solid three stars, but no higher. Food and service that’s pretty basic, but nothing special.

Best wings in Ithaca … Great bar… Did I say great wings? And the wings are great.

We fell in love with this little place! The bartenders Kristy and Kim were fantastic! We ordered the Mess wings and the party that happened in my mouth was amazing! The mushroom bacon soup… was so delicious with just the right amount of flavor. And the locals embraced us like long lost cousins. Thank you for such an enjoyable lunch!

A great place for people who are gluten free. This is one of the few places I feel safe eating. The menu is clearly marked, and there are a lot of options. The food and drinks are amazing!

Tax Day Specials for the 6th year Crossroads offers bargains to ease our pain on Tax Day. Jay an owner, made sure everything was right! He personally brought my service dog Patch out some fantastic grilled chicken, which she loved! Don had a fish sandwich and I had the chicken parm. sandwich. This was the busiest I’ve ever seen Crossroads, however the service and food were GREAT!

Crossroads is a good place to have a beer with some friends, but their kitchen is hit or miss for me. they have a good selection of beers, although i do wish they had Yuengling on tap, and the place is pretty clean and has a comfortable vibe. the juke box is kind of weird though, it’s an internet juke box but it has a lot of essential stuff missing from it for some reason. as for the food, the best thing i had here was the fried chicken. it was flavorful and had a good texture, and the mashed potatoes it came with were good too. everything else i had though i didn’t care for. the mac n cheese was kinda bland, and the fries are house cut but i don’t think they do a good job of cooking them, the insides don’t get done enough and they weren’t crisp at all. i tried the buffalo wings and the house wings and i wasn’t really a fan of either sauce, the house sauce was pretty salty. the wings here are breaded, which i don’t mind, but i feel like the breading fights the sauce and you don’t get the full flavor of either one. as for the pulled pork sandwich, the menu said it’s slow smoked but that’s definitely not done in house, and once they put all that generic BBQ sauce on it, any smoke flavor it might have had gets lost. i suspect it’s Austin Blues pulled pork, which is a pre-cooked product. it was too sweet and i couldn’t even finish the whole sandwich. like i said, this is a good place to drink at, and i would try more of their food again. the owner i met was very friendly and i would suggest checking this place out

Great place to go for comfort food and fun. We had lunch there today after a wintery day cutting down our Christmas tree and it was a great choice for kids Mac and cheese. My wife enjoyed the Seared Tuna salad and the chicken parm sandwich was a good choice for me. The waiters were very friendly and the pool table area was a great choice for our 3 year old son!

Went to crossroads as part of a large wedding party. We were set up on the back porch with our own small buffet. The prime rib was great and the chicken cordon bleu was just as good. The owner went above and beyond to make sure that our party was doing well, even going as far to make separate kids meals for some youngsters with more fickle palates. All employees were extremely attentive to empty water glasses and finished plates. Also was able to play a few rounds of horseshoes and cornhole after dinner. Would totally recommend for any bigger group, great find wish we lived closer.

Start with service, Love the waitresses, their wicked nice, but they are often forgetful and they don’t stop by the table often to refill drinks(which those who follow me on Unilocal know I am a stickler about). The food here is pretty good though. The burger had good flavor, good toppings, like the bread and the fries are spot on. The ribs were pretty good too. Loved the bbq sauce(not too overpowering and not too much applied on top of the ribs). They were very tender, very juicy, lots of flavor and overall were pretty darn good! This place is only 2 miles from my apartment so it’s definitely my go to place for food when I don’t want to travel and I put this on-par with applebees in terms of food and service which is a good thing(read my applebees review). I like it here but definitely not the best food I’ve ever had, but still a big cut ahead of lot of places I have tried!

My friend suggested this place since we both, long time ago, knew the owner when he was our student. Great salads, burgers and fries… and although I am gluten-free, I ate the ice cream that came with my friend eating the hot brownie! Good waitress, large eating area and would have lived sitting outdoors if the weather cooperated.

This is the kind of place you can take a big group of friends when you want to catch up over good food and drink. The menu has something for everyone – burgers, salads, ribs– though the strength, in my opinion, is in upscale versions of classic meat and potatoes American fare. It was hard to decide what to order… so many interesting choices. The calamari appetizer could feed four people. It was *excellent*, served with two sauces for dipping. One was a garlic aioli; both were very good but I would have preferred a little more heat or kick in the sauces. I finally decided on a risotto dish with asparagus and grilled portobello mushrooms. Tasty, but a little heavy for a hot summer evening. Big portions, so you are definitely getting your money’s worth. My companion enjoyed the prime rib which came with smashed potatoes and delectable green beans. We were too full for dessert. I definitely want to go back for lunch to try the burgers and sweet potato fries. I’m also dying to try the chicken-fried chicken, and sides like mac-and-cheese. But that trip will have to wait for colder weather, when comfort food will sit better with me. In the meantime… lunch, or a night out with friends to grab cold beer and appetizers would be perfect. Maybe sit on the outdoor deck and watch the sun go down. The bar was busy, with a friendly crowd who seemed to be having fun. I liked the low-key vibe. Service was attentive and professional.

Looks like a redneck place from the outside and the bar area is, but the restaurant side is very nice. Has Billiard and live music plus American fare. You can see quite some families around as well. Nice place.

The young owner and waiter was very charismatic and friendly. He gets your name, remembers and makes relevant recommendations. The burgers are amazing! The Irish fries are pretty good – think fried potato chips with a spiced yogurt sauce. The restaurant is in the back. In the front, there is a pool table and bar. There is also a patio that apparently comes in use during the summer when they serve seafood and have clam days. Did I mention to try the burgers?!

First time experience and I can’t tell enough people about this place. The bar has a total NYC feel and still really comfy/homey. Everything I tasted was sooo good! Nothing crazy too crazy on the menu, just simple and well cooked food. The mac & cheese, «mess» sauce wings & burger were soooo yummy! I thought I had the most amazing waiter in Ithaca but turns out he is the owner who I heard was from the city, which def explains the décor & unique wing sauces. He was so attentive that we were just finishing our beers and he already had fresh ones :) He sounds like he really loves the family feel to his restaurant, just a really nice dude. I’m trying not to go back today that’s how much I enjoyed this restaurant.

I love it when you randomly drive by a place, decide to check it out on a whim and discover how awesome it is totally by chance! This is what happened to us with the Crossroads Bar & Grille in Lansing. What I like most about the Crossroads is that it’s completely unassuming. It looks like a run of the mill bar that serves food. One side is the bar and the other side is the restaurant separated by a half wall. Sure they serve up your standard bar food fare but the difference is that it’s amazingly good and relatively cheap! Tonight, my husband and I shared the special: a full rack of carolina style ribs which came with coleslaw, super tasty sauteed broccoli(who knew?!) and bacon & cheese grits«fries». The ribs were truly unbelievable… the best in the area in my opinion. They weren’t slathered in BBQ sauce but covered with a delicious rub and cooked perfectly so that the spices formed an almost caramelized crust. We were totally stuffed for only $ 20.99. I was excited to find out they had Ommegang Abbey Ale on draft… delicious with the ribs and oh so classy! After we paid the bill, our server came by with a complimentary brownie which we ate even though we were still full. A perfect end to a perfect meal… the Crossroads Bar & Grille does not disappoint!
