As soon as I entered this joint I could smell the«stale» grease. They must not have good exhaust systems. The entire place is quite run down and the floors actually felt slimy with old grease. I had the Tuesday fish & chip special for $ 6.14, including the drink. Triangulated frozen fish, fries were pretty good and a good portion, tiny little cole slaw, the drink was on the smallish side with no refill offered. I guess for six bucks one can’t expect much. But cleanliness is cheap for the owner so why not present a sparkling atmosphere? «Here fishy, fishy…»

Looks shabby but the chicken I had was amazing. Very nice guy working there. I got 9 pieces of fried chicken breasts for like $ 16 was worth it. Has a very old school drive thru. Very good experience.

I’ve been to this restaurant quite a few times during my stint in Law School in Lansing. I was in the hopes that it would be like its predecessor, Arthur Treachers(AT), of which I loved. It’s definitely not as good as AT because AT mastered the crisp, battered triangle fish without the grease. Fish and Chips has not. The triangle fish was dripping with grease that hadn’t been changed in quite some time. I had to press the grease out of the fish on a napkin. The hush puppies were nothing but little grease balls. I’m not one that likes my grease straight up. Bury it in something, why don’t ya? I was so very disappointed. I’ve gone back several times, in hopes that my experience was an isolated incident. It wasn’t. Finally, the staff and the cleanliness of the restaurant leave a lot to be desired. It appeared that it was a father and son working. Correction. The father was working the son was being great at doing absolutely nothing. The dad was making a good effort to be cashier, cook, and drive through attendant. Oops, almost forgot, the son did bring up a bag of chips. They were out. I give it three stars if you want to be reminded of the AT of yesteryear. But I definitely wouldn’t make a special trip.

Very tasty fries, the fish is your standard fare, triangle. Today, however, I was pleasantly surprised to find it was light on the breading. The hush-puppies are very good. This place is very unpretentious. It doesn’t try to be something it’s not. For a fast, relatively inexpensive lunch of fish & chips, I recommend it. If you want«restaurant quality,» try one of the sit-down restaurants(such as Dublin Square in the Eastwood Towne Centre).
